Thank you for this tutorial! I've been wanting to do a boat neck top but I was a little intimidated, you've made it look very easy, and I love your decorative stitch! 😊

Thank you Joanne,l love that you have used the decorative stitch on the neckband and the Maven pattern is now on my list. I like the boatneck but often find on the patterns I sew,the neck is to wide for me and I am not sure how to bring it in.🌹🌹🌹

Would you not add some stabiliser around the neck edge under the facing, like say a narrow strip of interfacing to stop the neckline from stretching over time?

You can use a stretch interfacing to make the top last longer. I have had mine 18 months and it is fine but it depends on the fabric.

Are you transferring the pins to the right side before you sew?

I sewed this one from the wrong side but if I was twin needle sewing I would tack it and sew from the right side.

You should check your videos. I suppose you use a mirror in some parts so we cannot read it. You are showing on the mat of similar color as the cloth so it cannot be seen well.
