Who would have thought when we reviewed this game a year ago that this would be the start of the Anime Fighting Game shared cinematic universe?

I just did some digging around in the announcer's voice files, I found some clips of them saying "Continue?" "Game Over" and "Congratulations!", I'm like 99% certain you were right about arcade mode at this point and honestly I'm surprised nobody else has ever brought it up.
Arc System probably prioritized the story mode over the rest of single player content and (considering that only the Blazblue story has multiple choices that leads to different endings) probably had to rush it when they realized that the release date was getting close. The fact that they added a new story and not an arcade mode for season 2 it’s kinda frustrating, but considering that this game is kinda dead and Arc System moved to the new Guilty Gear game it’s already a miracle they added new content.
Arc System works did not make UnderNight. its Soft Circle French Bread who also done Melty Blood and Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax
You should do a build the roster for a sequel to this game including Guilty Gear and Grandblue Fantasy

I feel like if BBTAG did get a sequel, Arcsys will most definitely switch out 2 or three of the franchises for something different.
Although considering the recent 2.5D games they're making, they'd probably start a new Cross Tag game from the ground up.
4:25 TO BE FAIR, we didn’t get a Blazblue x Guilty Gear crossover game in the last couple of years.

Yeah this game fell short on a couple of things but I still love it.
I am what i call a casual hardcore gamer, i play hardcore games and get to a ok level and understand the mechanics but just happily playing training mode and offline modes and care little for online, funnily enough in many ways i prefer this game to Dragonball fighter z
Sprites take A LOT of time and money to make. So I can see why they did that. Hell, they were barely able to finish Weiss' and Ruby's sprite before the announcement of this game. Updating the sprites would take as long as making a new one too

I'll just say this. Before this game, I had no interest in Blazblue, I had gotten this solely because it involved Persona and RWBY and I absolutely had to be there for those two franchises crossing over. But now, I've slowly been intrigued by BB, even got into Guilty Gear with Strive and went back and got Xrd Sign just because. So now, whenever ArcSystems decides to announce a new Blazblue, I'm here for it too, even though it's lore is a complete clusterfuck. And it is all thanx for Cross Tag Battle.

Honestly for $5 plus the discount on the ultimate pack bundle, I can’t really be that critical when it comes to judging the game. The only thing that I find disappointing is that the roster is still incomplete since there’s missing characters from Persona, and BB like Bullet and Kokonoe. But I already have Central Fiction for that.
Overall it’s a good package for me since I’m not that into UNI or Persona, so I get to experience all three games in one plus some other ones. But man I wish that we got some more modes besides online and survival, I can’t properly play online because of my spotty connection.
Jesus dude. You could have just named the video "I don't like re-used sprites."
It would have taken years to redraw all these characters, and for a crossover game (Where they don't own the IP's) that's an absolute waste of resources. For you smash comparison, you would be comparing Ultimate to Smash 4.. not some nes sprites. It's not like ArcSys can re-coup the costs by releasing another Under Night (which they didn't develop, you got that wrong in the video, they just published it) or Persona 4 game since it's not their IPs.
For what it is, I think it looks fine. I just wish it had more single player content and that ArcSys acknowledged it existed. Game is fun as hell to play, I wish they supported it more.
I wish they I least changed the character select screen or add more characters
This game is fine and I prefer the 2D sprites over 3D models.

No, I shall explain the plot of Blazblue: There's a guy in a red coat and everybody wants to fight him for anime reasons. Blah blah blah time travel, blah blah blah alternate dimensions. There, now you understand Blazblue.
At least the game's cheap.
The story mode feels like the Arcade mode (with the obviousness of not being able choose your characters).
Just like Chrono, they should have placed in an update a mode to fight the boss with any Tag of choose, if they were not going to add at least a simple classic Arcade mode of 5-8 matches before the Boss...

I'd say the Quality in RWBY to the public is subjective.
I would say that this was one of the best things that RWBY has done
