Seeing the starting set up, I would not have predicted that the wheat port would be your first settlement
I remember watching this game in stream. It was brutal, they plowed you everywhere.
It was amazing you could get two more settles.
Also reds set up was brutal for 4th position
Pointing the road left seemed like it wouldn't matter at all but pointing right could've made a difference. I think taking the wheat port instead of getting the 3:1 was the biggest mistake here.
Such a typical low elo game. People not realizing their win conditions, not calculating who they want to hold army, who they want to hold roads.

If u pointed the second settlement left you would have gotten to 11 roads easier. but damn red has everything in the world going for them
I only did top left as a joke to connect the roads… it’s a meme in the discord community.
Guessing Green was a new player. why build a road to a spot one space away from a settle? The 8s were crazy and it makes me rethink doing the 810... C'est la vive. Rough sevens...

In hindsight, I should have settled 810 for the wood with all that brick in my hand but I was too excited to claim the wheat port 😂

dandy what do you think about the new trading UI? for me, i like the fact that you can see who accepts the trade, but i rly dislike 2 other things.
1. If you make a counteroffer, cause you just know he will take it, ppl can snipe it and build on your knowledge which feels rly frusttrating if the turnplayer does so. meh!
2. before every trade was read from left to right and every new trade just below that. Now you read the trades from top down and the new ones are also listed below each other.
I thought maybe i get used to that, but man o man that feels just so shit imo.

Play optimal and let your good plays carry your forward. Good principled play will win you many games.
