Thanks man! My truck is at best buy right now getting this installed. The "running in the store" info was something I didn't know about. Thanks again bro!
Thank You, and good luck. Let me know how the install goes. See if they have a T-harness for your make and model, I know it will make it easier to install.
Jerome Junior Went very well. Work a great. Took me about r hours to hook up just the start side of it. It's my first time installing anything like this other than radios and lights. Haven't had the time to hook up the lock side. All I did was splice not t harness.
bahhaziz the 2003 corolla actually doesn't have a vehicle immobilizer so you won't need a module just the viper remote start it self and it will integrate the factory alarm.
Hey a question for you! My 2007 Nissan Altima has proximity sensors for its factory remote that allow me to press these little buttons on the driver and passenger door handles to unlock and lock it. Do you know if this Viper remote or other kinds will allow it to retain that "proximity" function?
I purchased the same one. I was just wanted to know when the remote start is on when you unlock your door do all your door unlock? And does your light come on inside the car when you hit the unlock button with the remote start on?
+Audrey Lesane When you unlock the door while the remote start is on, all door will unlock. And no the lights do not come on when I hit the unlock button.
gotcha...i was asking because I saw similar one online for better price....not sure if installation is included in that.. thanks for your response. www.bestbuy.com/site/viper-viper-4806v-2-way-led-remote-start-system-tilt-switch-interface-module-and-geek-squad-installation/9999271900050001.p?skuId=9999271900050001&ref=199&loc=CPqWkHwkNyo&acampID=1&siteID=CPqWkHwkNyo-6qtS7KTXMZEoY2FfEbz0IA
@@gtdodgeviper I take it you have a standard? Alot of cars have a neutral kill switch or a clutch bypass, I advice you to never start it in a gear it will launch forward and then stop due to the parking brake, i have one on my subaru sti and I always leave it in neutral
+Donte Quinney I used an iDatalink model: ADS-ALCA. You can find it on bestbuy website. www.bestbuy.com/site/idatalink-data-bypass-module-for-most-remote-start-security-system-controllers-black/6559499.p?id=1218754595631&skuId=6559499

A really good, well explained, useful review. Thanks men!
Great review! I just got this and ur video was helpful , love how you went into detail thanks
Thanks good explanation. I just got my remote put in.
Great review. I have a 97 saturn. No chipped key. So I don't need a bypass. I'm gonna try to install myself. Watched a few install videos.

Sweet. I'm glad it worked out.
do you think it will work on a 2003 corolla with factory alarm without conflict?
+bahhaziz Maybe. I know the older corolla factory alarms corroborate better with the module I used, compare to the newer models (like mines).

The ability to run the car locked without a key is awesome for dog owners
how much did you pay for installation at bestbuy.

TechRN I have a compustar remote start on a Nissan push to start and I can still use the little buttons on the door

what happens if you leave the car in gear and remote start it?
Never attempt it, and never will.
+Jerome Junior But what if you leave it on gear by accident?
Most cars won’t start while in gear
