    As Danny's niece, I am so pleased to see what a following he has. If you want to hear his very early stuff, look for "The Legends". Find the track "High Towers". I think it has to be my favorite. Danny, if I am not mistaken, was only 15 or 16 when he sang it.

      Hello, I don't know if you check UA-cam or comments anymore, but I wanted to leave you a message. As a life long musician and music fan, Your Uncle Dan was such a talented bass player and songwriter. I always have thought the song he wrote on the Edgar Winters Group album Shock Treatment "Sundow" is the best song he ever wrote. It flows perfectly and ends with crickets chirping indicating sundown. I have no idea why it wasn't released as a single. I hope this isn't too long or boring for you, I just admire your uncle SO much as an extremely talented man who left too soon but left a fantastic body of work.

      Terry, you're a HERO. As a 42 year old in 2019, I've often lamented the loss of heart and soul in today's autotuned landscape. Then I realized, I was born in 1977, and tons of great music came out before that year - I just needed to know where to look. I shall look up The Legends immediately.

    • @VIDEOHEREBOB
      @VIDEOHEREBOB Місяць тому +1

      This is by no means derogatory, because he had some voice, but sections are lip synced. That's just what might have been required of him. At approx. 3:10 he laughs about it.

    • @BDUBZ49
      @BDUBZ49 17 днів тому

      @@VIDEOHEREBOB I think he was laughing at his little jump. There are a lot of tiny variations/deviations that he does from the studio recording. I know a lot of shows require miming, but not on Letterman.

    • @VIDEOHEREBOB
      @VIDEOHEREBOB 17 днів тому +1

      @@BDUBZ49 I'm not trying to call him out, but if you watch very carefully beginning at approx. 3:06 he isn't singing but the track with his voice is playing. Again, not out to criticize. Still a great voice. I perform it. It is challenging to do live, not only the vocal, the music mix.

    wow thank you for posting this. I was only aware of the other 2 clips. I read he wrote this song hor Hall & oates. Darryl said they had just finished their album and told Dan he should release it. SO glad he did that. So Sad Dan died many years ago.
