I've lifted two WK2 Grand Cherokee's so far (see videos on my channel), I did a spacer lift first time around on the first one (2011) but no sooner did we install the spacers the struts blew, so I then did no spacer and added the Rough Country loaded struts. The second Grand Cherokeee was a 2013 WK2, I did the Rough Country loaded struts again in the front with two strut shims and JBA UCA's. Both Jeeps I installed Wrangler take off wheels and tires (32") with 1.5" wheel spacers.
Sick definitely like the look
Will be ordering my kit soon for my Jeep 2013 grand Cherokee limited. Was curious offsets are mentioned in this description and I’m wondering do these come with the kit ? If not where would you order them from for the Silver setup listed in the description??
those tires and rims are beasst
Do you have any videos of 2.5 lift with low profile tires between 26 32 inch
Fit limited model and Laredo only? Overland (air sus) is a no no right?
Has anyone put this on a hemi I seen it says on the description it doesn’t work because the weight of motor is just curious to see if anyone has tried it
You just need the 159$ kit? or you need to change suspension, springs etc?
I have a 2017 Jeep G.C Laredo, do I need new drive shaft?
Hello. I have a 2018 Grand Cherokee Limited. I tried to have leveling kit put on at 4 Wheel parts. They say they can't because it has sensors on the suspension. They can't find a kit to extend the sesors. Do you sell a kit with you 2.5 in lift kit.??? My name is Craig. Thank you for your time.
Can I keep my stock altitude wheels and tires on it?
so sickk!🤙🏼🤙🏼
Do you have a part number or link for the lugs required for the setup on the black jeep? Waiting to install your kit on my wifes 2018 grand Cherokee Thanks.
Those would have to be purchased by contacting one of our sales reps at 1-800-222-7023
@Rough Country I have a 2017 wk2 limited with your RC 2.5 Leveling kit. My stock wheels are 265/55/R20'S I want to put on 17x9 inch wheels and would like to put an (LT285/70) tire witch is 32.7 tall and 11.2 wide, what wheel specs do I need to achieve without any modification what so ever???
i see you guys achieved to make a slightly wider and bigger tire fit 33" tall by 11.5" wide with +35 or +38 offset with NO modifications at all or was there any???
What wheel offset do i need to get it done please let me know in DETAIL thanks.
Just bought the kit for a 2017 wk2. Do I still have to do the pinch weld mod on the front inner wheel wells to fit 33's? Thanks
YES BRO IS NEEDED, TRUST ME
Yes!
What year is that jeep?
Help! I took my 2020 GC in for the 2.5 lift (33x12.5r22) and now they are saying I need an alignment kit because it is maxed out. Has this happened to anyone else? Is an alignment kit necessary?
I have a 2018 laredo. If i want to keep my stock 17" wheels, what size tire would you reccomend i use?
You will have to run an offset wheel with this kit for clearance purposes you need a 5.75" backspacing on an aftermarket wheel.
@@RoughCountryTV will a 6.09 BS work?
I put this front and rear kit on my 2018 r/t Durango and the front end sits visibly higher than the rear now. Sent a note to rough country’s website and have not heard back. What is the fix for this? Has this happened with others?
Please give us a call at 1-800-222-7023 and one of our service reps will be glad to assist you. Thanks
Will I be able to fit 265/70R18s on stock rims and 2" spacers with this kit?
Yes that will work on this particular application.
would 275/60/20 work with the 2 inch spacers and this setup as well?
What is the aprt number for the rims that are in the video on the dark grey/black JGC? the number listed is not the same rim.
www.summitracing.com/parts/kmc-65128554338
Rough Country it’ll works with the stock rims? Want it to looks like the dark gray but with the original rims.
Will a wider wheel be good or does it have to be 8.5
8.5" is going to be your best option for wheel son that one.
I just purchased this kit for my 2018 wk2 , what's the biggest tire you recommend on 17 inche rims with -12mm offset?
Recommended Tire Size 33x11.50R20
Recommended Wheel Backspacing 5.75in
@@RoughCountryTV OG asked for a 17 inch rim, not 20.
-12 and 17s? I'd say 285/70/17s to be safe.
I had to get bigger rims for the 33+ tires, and 2” lift. 2019 JeeP Grand Cherokee 4x4 Limited. 🤷🏼♀️
I recently purchased a 09 jeep grand Cherokee limited 5.7 and it has a lift on it, how can i tell how much of a lift is on it exactly? It has 18 inch rims with 30 inch tires, and the back factory fender flare is 36 inches from the ground, any ideas on how much of a lift i have or how i can tell? I need a new rear driveshaft & cant figure out if i need a double Carden shaft or regular standard cherokee size shaft due to not knowing my lift size lol, help pleaseeeeee
I’m guessing you don’t have a very big lift. My 2021 stock grand Cherokee has just a hair over 35” rear fender gap and that’s with stock tires. So you’re only 1” higher even with bigger tires. You probably have a 1/2”-1” in the rear and 2” in front. Honestly though a stock shaft should work fine for that.
Does this also fit 2015 jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo?
Yes sir
I would like to fit 17-inch wheels and 32 tires on my GC V8, would Method wheels 17x8.5 (0/4.75") fit with this kit ?
Due to the geometry of the kit this suspension system was developed using a 33x11.50-R20 tire on 20x8.5” wheels with 5.75” backspacing.
@@RoughCountryTV does the 5.75 means it's ok to have a rim that is 6.10BS?
Or does it need to be exact 5.75?

Could I run 275 60 20 instead of 265 55 20?

Does this work with the Quadra lift air suspension?
Not compatible with the Quadra Lift Air Suspension. We currently do not offer an option for that make and model.
@@RoughCountryTV Any idea when you will or is it even possible with Quadra Lift? I just wanna fit slightly larger tires for extra ground clearance. Is there any option to do that with Quadra Lift?

Can you recommend a good setup for 18s or 17s with this kit? I installed the kit yesterday and now it's time for some new wheels and tires. I'd like to keep the 18s or maybe even get some 17s as I really like the look of more rubber than rim. I'd prefer not to do any trimming. Thanks in advance.
Any luck on recommendations for 17" or 18" Wheels for this kit. Did you install your new wheels yet?
@@Vegas72s Nothing so far. Life getting in the way lol. I'll report back if so.

@@RoughCountryTV what model would be recommended for this lift and will the air ride suspension be adequate also
I don't know if this question has been asked already but I'm thinking that this probably won't work if your Grand Cherokee has the air ride suspension.
Correct. That is not compatible with air suspension.
@@RoughCountryTV But you can rempve the air suspension then install the lift kit then right?
Austin yes...but it's a rather expensive conversion. It's now December 2020. Out of curiosity: have you done it yet? If so, what was the cost and what's your experience; the before and after.
Does this lift kit give any ground clearance?
2.5"
What is the smallest size tire you can use with out it looking silly?
You could run stock size. Seen a few WK2’s with 2” level and stock tires and it didn’t look too terrible. Anything smaller than stock would probably look silly.
I have this with stock tires and honestly looks like how the Chevy trailboss looks like the stock tires.
Were wheel spacers used on these trucks?

Will 33.2x10.8 tires fit without rubbing
lol
Anything over 32” will require pinch weld mod and inner fender trimming most likely.
What kind of tires are those ? All terrain or mud ?
They’re Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Probably considered an all terrain but they’re pretty aggressive.
with the kit and 33's how will mpg be affected?
Duh

Noticeably worse, loads more drag on the oversize tyres and increased windage (drag) under vehicle 😎

Had this installed and now my front end is 1" higher than the rear creating a negative rake which I despise. Its been a week of "settling" and hasn't budged. Buyer beware!
Noooooo
How is it now?
They changed the kit since they made this video I think. The original kit came with 1/2” rear coil spacers, now it only comes with a 3/16” plate as a spacer. I have the same kit and I’m not going to install the strut preload spacer. Just going to use the top strut spacer and then get rear coil spacers from Rubicon Express to get the rear where I want it.
@@TonyTheTruckGuy how did that go for you? I'm having the same issue on my 15 wk2, I'm just thinking of buying a strut assembly and just installing the top spacer to hopefully bring the front end lower
@@rayben3972 I used just the strut spacer out of the RC “lift” kit which is in fact taller than the spacer in their “leveling kit”. The front spacer made it pretty much perfectly level. I want the rear slightly higher though, so I installed some 1/2” rubicon express spacers in the rear.
What do you got for the v8.
Same lift for V8 and V6
@@TonyTheTruckGuy it says ONLY fits v6 models on their website
@@only1knute Yeah but it would work for both. I’ve seen people with the V8 running the same kit. Not sure why they say that.
Could I clear 255/25/28 tires on 28in wheels? Tires are 33in tall and 10in wide.
@roughcountry what size wheel spacers would do the same as offset wheels to mount 33” tires?
They don’t mention this, but to run a 33” tire, you need to trim the inner fender liner and do the pinch weld mod. 32” is the biggest you can run without doing any of that, and you can only add about a 1” or 1.5” wheel spacer otherwise those will rub as well.
The narrator says 'suspension lift' while the graphic says leveling kit at 40 seconds. What is the actual part number?
This is a suspension lift. Most suspension kits also level the vehicle out. The link to the kit is in the description.
@@RoughCountryTV But its a spacer kit.... Is the lift in the video a spacer kit or an actual suspension lift..
@@Austin-id3qx It’s just front strut spacers with rear shock and spring spacers.
