Now I have another daughter-in law that just baked her own birthday cake yesterday (her first attempt at baking a cake ever) and she is learning the skills. When I was a kid I was ADDICTED to that cinnamon coffee cake. Trader Joe's likes to rotate out their goods so it was discontinued for a few years. I remember instantly buying that mix the second it came back! Thanks for giving a review of all these!

Thanks for such a helpful video. I’ve made the cinnamon coffee cake and I think the directions do have you divide the spice/streusel part into both the middle and top of the cake. The picture on the box shows it as well. Also, a suggestion on the blood orange cake is to substitute Trader Joe’s blood orange soda (which is delicious BTW) for the liquid in the batter.

I thought maybe cream cheese because your Ube recipe is similar to a red velvet or maybe whipped cream like in the Ube mini cakes video? Would love to hear your suggestion 😊
Hi Josephine-Charlotte :) I’ve gotten lots of feedback on the ube cake and popular frosting pairings are either ube frosting - so take any of my vanilla frosting and add ube extract or coconut frosting (same thing - add coconut extract) I’ve never tried cream cheese with it but I’m sure it would be delicious!
