Got the editing instructions from Nikolai: "This one was fairly simple, up and down two couloirs. But we did turn back on our original objective, so that adds something." After watching the footage I was like 👀 Doesn't look like fairly simple. You guys are crazy, had really fun times editing this! 🔥
Man Niko, honestly thank you for your commitment to this sport and to creation of this content. You singlehandedly got me into making the leap to buy my first touring skis and additional equipment… The joy I have gotten out of the progression that comes with this sport is absolutely unparalleled. It‘s unlikely you‘ll see this message, but if you do, I hope I get to meet you one day because you are an absolute inspiration
Absolutely EPIC! I love how you and Krister are just the ultimate duo with skiing and snowboarding. Keep up the great work, these videos are just so damn good. 🤙
I love the stories, the climbing, the descending, the music but I think most of all I love how you guys always show the hugs, high-fives and reaction takes from right after the runs. I can feel the stoke through the screen and I just want to hang out with you guys and come up with cool adventures to do 🙏🤩☕️⛷🛫 keep having fun and lots of love from NB Canada 🇨🇦
The electric enthusiasm resonates: i recall that feeling. It's so good (obviously I didn't need to do as gnarly things as this but each to his/ her own). I LOVE this channel! Keep it going!
What an edit! It's so good to see not only the runs themselves but all the story and emotions behind them! It's like being there with you and living through the same emotions 🤙 Keep it up!
Love the videos that Nikolai and Krister do but this one reminded me more of those wingsuit guys flying inches from instant knarly rock death. I know that you need to push the boundaries to keep the sponsors these days but stay safe guys. Just my opinion but these ski resort batshit crazy narrow couloirs aren't nearly as good as the epic out in the mountainous wilderness, middle of nowhere type ones where the hike up is as cool as the ski down. Appreciate that those trips aren't exactly risk free either!
@@Nikolai_Schirmer Awesome, thanks for replying. Can't wait to see more big mountain epicness! (from a 45 year old ski loving dad living vicariously through these amazing adventures) Keep safe and best wishes
What a damn video, hell of a job exploring some pretty damn hard to get to terrain. As a Canadian transplant down in Aotearoa it's inspiring to see people pushing it. Hopefully see you boys all out there in the deep, the snow is coming!!
never done anything like this in my life ofc would never be at their level but would love to try it out, definitely the best videos i have watched in a few years.
I do both, skiing and snowboarding. I have the utmost respect for what you guys do. Seeing you climb the stuff before makes you even appreciate it more with what ease you ride those couloirs. Like if I had only seen the footage of the ride I wouldn’t have had an understanding of how steep it is and how gnarly those jumps actually were. Btw I only got one pair of skis for touring and groomers and I use pin bindings too. They’re great and even when jumping and going over bumps they never failed on me.
Loving this series! Niko you have put together a great team to ride with and create these videos!Joonas and the editors have been killing it like always!
Amazing videos guys. Would love to try something like this in the future. I am quite a decent powder snowboarder but I am scared to go to the next level and try something like this.
"I'll give you 10 euros if you backflip": that's a very respectful bet on Krister's side. Like he knows Niko totally can do a backflip off there, but also kinda wouldn't want to and won't change his mind for 10 euros...
Nice to get a look at how experience people can take a “no” from a mountain. But made me wonder what went into not being belayed on the small section of climbing? That would have freaked me out climbing that when the fall cam be consequential. Also wondering what crampons work with snowboard boots.
Since falling down a steep Glacier last summer (so no Snow involved) and getting hurt pretty bad (but still being very lucky) I get an uneasy feeling about some of the places you guys climb up. I think I will try to find couloirs which are 5 metres or more wider than the stuff you guys are doing... Gives you a higher margin for errors... Keep it up!
Hi Niko, I’ve been watching your videos for a couple of years now and I have to say your content is quite inspiring. I am currently in Whistler for a season and I want to do some smaller shots on my skiing. Therefore I was wondering if you use any nd filters for your GoPro/Drone. Keep it up your videos are amazing! Cheers Max
Another Niko video and of course just as sick as the others! Those two lines were some of the most awesome I've seen in as long as I can remember. What's up with the topside googles btw? They don't look like the Julbo Cyrius you used to use. Whal model are they?
@@Nikolai_Schirmer Thanks for the reply! I just broke the frame of my old worn down julbo's, and now these news arrive! The fit and size looks awesome, so I'll hold out for when they're for sale!

Your skiing or kristers boarding always blows my mind, so freaking good! This is so hard to do and you make it look easy.

Glad you’ve found the same joy I have in skiing Maximilian! Hope you’re having a good winter
The cinematographic quality of these videos is unbelievable.

🤙
Glad you guys are now taking the time to show yourselves digging pits. Showing your viewers the importance of avalanche safety. 🤜🤛
You guys are insane. Usually I'm gellous of what pro riders get to ski but with you guys I'm just in awe. Also name a more iconic duo...
Tango and Cash, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Han Solo and Chewbacca to name a few.
0:21 The way niko was so hyped in the beginning made my day🤣🤣🤣

Such fantastic filmmaking and ski content. Don't understand how you don't have millions of subs, I'm sure they'll come.
Epic, pulse raising and great!

Great choice of music-Vivaldi! Incredible skiing and compelling narrative.

Most production value in any ski video on UA-cam. And best skiing.
Best skiing content on the internet!
Love you guys! Keep it coming, even with this shit winter we are having in central europe!
Best day of the week when these vids drop 💪

Full tech or hybrid ? Looks like the skier isnt using any pins.
The two sickest guys on youtube by far. Love it!
Never seen you more excited than at 7:36 that was awesome

This is so cool to watch from their POV.
Amazing.
Fossil free!!
You guys are really pushing it... crazy to see the progression. Mandatory airs into big lines as the norm! Completely bananaz 🍌 🍌
Very inspiring all of you. A lot of skills and courage. Great work!

Amazing Vidoe! I really enjoyed it!
Thanks a ton!
Been wanting to ski the first line both seasons I spent in val d isere/tignes but it was never in condition to do so. Nice to see it skied! :)

Amazeballs insight into proper freeskiing/boarding. Gah!
Ni två är mina Idoler! Jag ska bli som er när jag blir stor
I absolutely need to know how incredible this feels
It makes me sick with fear just watching the scramble at the top. Amazing,,,!
The music building with Krister's first drop is absolutely PEAK editing. Excellent.
1:04 I love smart people that know when to bail out on a trip!
Nikolai, just a reminder that your content is always fucking awsome
You know people are good at what they do when they make really hard things look easy.
Another sick video guys
Love the banter!
it's impressive the way you make it looks like as easy as a normal walk!!
One of my fave channels on YT right now, fuckin' epic adventures
Swedish Couloir! Skied that with 40cm of breakable crust. Glad you scored some good conditions!
You both are beyond insane 🔥🔥

He rides on hard boots so same crampons as any ski boots.
Got my palms actually sweating again. Fuck yeah another killer video
The dance was as good as the skiing 😂

best videos on youtube!
Great content - sketchy lines
inspo for every ski adventure ☺️, still dont know how do you manage to straight line 50° coulair
