THANK YOU to all you Home Fries out there for dropping some knowledge in the comments!!! I think the next 3 will be: 1. Man of Constant Sorrow 2. Brothers in Arms 3. Skull and Bones As a veteran I’m super excited to hear #2, songs like these usually hit me different!! 🔥💙✌️
Once you do those, may I recommend Workin' for a Living because it gives you all their names at the start of the video (and is a fun song with an awesome Adam Rupp "nomonica" solo) and Something to Talk About to hear and see the new guy, Adam Bastien

And...another one falls down the rabbit hole. You are so doomed. We’ll save you a chair. You’re about to be buried in Home Fries. Brace yourself. Home Free is the only country a capella group out there, but they can - and do - sing every genre. And they have no lead singer. Every one of these men can take the lead, and they pick the lead for each song by who does it the most justice. During quarantine, they kept all us Home Fries sane by dropping new videos every couple of weeks while they were scattered across the country. God bless ‘em. All the men can beat box, but Adam Rupp is in a league of his own. He’s a world-class vocal percussionist and there’re good reasons he’s called a “Freak of Nature” and “the man who swallowed a drum kit.” For more of Adam’s incredible beat boxing, check out Sea Shanty medley (the man makes castanets, for Pete’s sake), his no-monica solo on Working For A Living and Ain’t Going Down Til The Sun Comes Up (that video is on Facebook), Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer (sleigh bells? seriously?) or his drum solos. For more of Tim’s seismic basso profundo, listen to Brothers In Arms, Misty Mountains (his collaboration with Peter Hollens), Folsom Prison Blues, or Ring Of Fire (the Sing Off version). This man’s range is incredible. You won’t want to miss his 5-octave run in 5 seconds in “Do You Hear What I Hear?” Tim also has a solo channel which you can view at www.timfoustmusic.com For Chance’s smooth baritone/bass, check out Skull & Bones, Down to the Honky Tonk, Brothers In Arms, Cover Me Up, I Can’t Outrun You, and Folsom Prison Blues. (Awesome... a basso profundo and a baritone/bass in the same group.) FYI, Chance is singing (throat singing) the jaw harp sounds - without the jaw harp - in Man Of Constant Sorrow. If you enjoy sea shanties, you must check out Skull and Bones, the official video.. The folks at Ubisoft heard Home Free’s Sea Shanty Medley, and contacted them to write a shanty for their upcoming video game of the same name. Chance has a particular fondness for shanties, so this was right up his alley. Chance was formerly a member of Street Corner Serenade from 2010 - 2016 before joining Home Free in 2016 after the departure of co-founder Chris Rupp. You can find his solo work and collaborations at www.theadamchance.com For Rob’s soulful tenor, check out End of the Road, Blue Ain’t Your Color, or Bless The Broken Road. (Blue-eyed soul is in good hands with The Beard.) One Home Fry has described him as the vocal equivalent of a Swiss Army knife because of his versatility. Just wait until you hear him whistle! Rob and his friend Buegs host a podcast called “The Avid Indoorsmen” where they review movies, etc. You’ll find Buegs’ cameo in the Home Free video “The Butts Remix.” He’s wearing overalls. Don’t worry - you can’t miss him. You can check out their podcast at www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-avid-indoorsmen--3265024 For Austin’s soaring tenor, check out Crazy, Moonshine, When A Man Loves a Woman, or Bring Him Home. (But bolt down your chair ‘cause he’ll sing you right out of it.) Austin left HF in June 2024. He’s newly married, and hasn’t been at home for Christmas in ten years due to Home Free’s heavy touring schedule. There are hundreds of videos with him, though, so you’ll still run into his work. You can also check out his solo work at www.austinbrownmusic.com Adam Bastien stepped into Austin’s tenor spot in June 2024. He’s currently on tour with HF, and we finally got to hear him singing the lead in Something To Talk About. Home Free introduced him right. He debuted at the Grand Ole Opry with the Home Free men on June 22, 2024. He’s a fine addition to the band. So, yeah. Three of the five members of Home Free are named Adam. You’ll hear them referred to as “Chance,” “Bastien,” and “Rupp.” If they’re just using the name Adam, they’re talking about Adam Rupp, vocal percussionist extraordinaire. For their humor, check out Butts Remix, Working For A Living, Life Is A Highway, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Brother, and Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget (The older video. Tim wrote the worst country song he could think of, and it remains one of their most requested.) A word about “Brother” - if you want to hear the lyrics, you’re going to have to listen with your eyes closed, ‘cause otherwise you’ll never get past the humor of the video to actually hear what they’re singing. For their amazing arrangement skills, check out Do You Hear What I Hear. (Adam’s arrangement. Nothing else like it.) For their tight harmonies, check out Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, or Auld Lang Syne. For their mashups, check out Thinking Out Loud/Let’s Get It On, Fishing in the Dark/Boondocks, Country Fried Pop, or Woman, Amen/Female. The Home Free men are masters of collaborations. They put the spotlight on their collaborator, supporting them with wonderful vocals and amazing harmonies. Check out God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood, American Pie and Vincent with Don McLean, Elvira with The Oak Ridge Boys, Children Go Where I Send Thee with the late Kenny Rogers, Don’t Laugh At Me with Mark Wills, Christmas In Dixie with Alabama, Delta Dawn with Brooke Eden, or Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For with Peter Hollens. Get at least five videos under your belt and then listen to Mayday - the official video. After Mayday, you’ll be ready for Tim and Austin doing My Maria or Tim’s mashup of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay. Then, when you come up for air, check out Rob’s and Austin’s “Two Country Singers Try Singing Opera.” You’ll need smelling salts after that one. Don’t miss their official videos. The Home Free men will often do a straight, gorgeous vocal performance, but they’ll add elements of humor to the video that will leave you chuckling or even laughing out loud. (Folsom Prison Blues, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Working For A Living, Brother, Life Is A Highway). And God help you when you get hit with the Home Free Curse. They’ll cover a song you absolutely cannot stand and make you like it against your will. I’d been hit by the curse four times before I gave up and quit counting. I’m not the only victim of the Home Free Curse, either. Although their covers are amazing, don’t miss their original compositions. They range from the the poignant (So Long Dixie) to the patriotic (Land Of the Free). These include Dive Bar Saints (one of my favorites), Road Sweet Road, Catch Me If You Can, Lonely Girl’s World, The Stargazer Trilogy (Give Me A Sign, Stargazer Lilies, MR), Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget, Love Me Like That, Skull And Bones, and many, many more. Their synergy is phenomenal. Each is an artist in his own right, but man - when they sing together, magic happens. Wicked talent polished by decades of hard work. (Unchained Melody, Castle On The Hill, Seven Bridges Road, Only In America) To paraphrase another Home Fry, “They don’t just own a cover, they upgrade it.” You are doomed, Home Fry. Bring ketchup.
FYI, Chance's former group was Street Corner Symphony. They came in second on the second season of The Sing-Off. (If you've never seen Tim's "interview" of Chance when he first joined -- Between Two Tims -- you should go find it and watch him teasingly needle Chance about losing).
They are acapella with beatboxer so it's all vocal. The bass is dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow. Everything they do is really good, their harmonies are amazing! They wrote a song for a game called Skull and Bones and their song is in the game, they have a couple of videos of it on their page, one is the game itself and the other is their video with them in it. You might want to check out the cover video "Man Of Constant Sorrow" as well, you will see more of their vocal harmony talents and the noises they make with only mouth and vocals.
Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, was the drums, castanets and waves in these sea shantys. They are acapella, but occasionally do use instruments, usually when they have a guest singer. Home Free is considered country acapella, but they also do doo wop, blues, folk, rap, popular and other genres. Adam occasionally will sing accompaniment without beatboxing (How Great Thou Art is an excellent example) and is a tenor. Tim Foust is their bass, but can also sing tenor, he has a 5 octave range, Adam Chance (Chance) is their bass/baritone but can also sing tenor, he has a 4 octave range, Rob Lundquist is a tenor, as is Austin Brown. Austin Brown was just replaced with another tenor Adam Bastien because Austin wants to spend more time with his new bride. They all can beatbox to a degree, as some of their videos will show. So Home Free has 2 bass, 5 tenors, and 5 beatboxers. That makes them extremely versatile as any of the 4 main singers can lead in a song.
Yes, welcome to Home Free, all acapella, no instruments at all. Masters of all musical genres. I'm a new subscriber for Home Free. This is not usually the first song that people are introduced to Home Free with. They did this during the lock down and were in different places around the country when they recorded this. Check out their live version, it may be even better. The one dressed as Jack Sparrow is the bass you hear. They won the 4th season of the Sing Off in 2013. Their covers are upgrades, their medleys are brilliant, their collaborations with the original artists are inspirational, and their original songs are masterpieces. Within this 5 man vocal band you have 5 tenors, 5 beat boxers, and 2 bass-baritones. All of them can sing lead and they choose depending on whose voice best fits the song. Typically Rob sings tenor, Austin sings high tenor, Chance sings baritone, Tim sings bass and Adam Rupp is the beat boxer. But they have been known to mix it up. They can do just about anything and they continue to grow and improve, yet they remain so humble. When they have featured guest artist, they support and allow their featured artists to shine. Several of them have their own channels and do some solo work. And just for fun Rob and Austin sing Opera. What else can I say? Their catalogue of work is quite large and continues to grow. You are in for an exciting journey and the Home Fries (Fans) will be there for you all the way. You must check out their original Sea Shanty "Skull and Bones."
You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there with a 5 octave range & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This medley was done during quarantine so none of the guys were even together. The editing of this was great & was done in the Tik Tok style. Love all the guys parts, with Tim's rumbling bass underlying it all. And Adam's beatboxing is phenomenal as always including sea swells & castanets. Amazing how he increased the tempo from one song to another. Most new reactors start out with "Man Of Constant Sorrow".
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole The group started in 2000/2001( there’s contention on the year)by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular. They are the only Country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they are honestly do so so much more than just country music they can sing any genre and they do. There is no Lead singer in the group. They each ( except Adam R )sings the song and who’s ever voice or voices sound right for the song gets the lead unless it is a bass/ baritone song then that’s Tim or Chance.A lot of time each member have a part in the song. Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire can make almost any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonica (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc).Co founder from Mankato Minnesota. They have amazing songwriters in the group Tim, and Chance and Austin was also one of the songwriters so they have a very large playlist of covers and original songs End of the Road (Boyz 2 Men cover ) Helplessly Hoping (5 part harmony masterpiece ) Butts Medley/ Remix Listen To The Music Can’t Outrun You Brothers In Arms Skull And Bones ( original written by Chance for Ubisoft video game Skull And Bones) Life Is A Highway Stand By Me Jump Right In Any Way The Wind Blows I’ve Seen (Original by Tim) Your Man Crazy Life ( original and last video with Austin ) Something To Talk About ( first video with Adam B ) I Still Believe In You (latest release ) Mayday(DON’T WATCH TILL YOU ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE GROUP AND THEIR RANGES ) There's not a song that you pick from their 200+ catalog that is bad I haven't found one yet. They are just funny, down to earth, humble nice guys. They are the best A Cappella group there is IMO Sorry for the long read 🏠🍟
Adam Chance wrote his own Sea Shanty for a video game called Skull and Bones. He also did a solo one with a couple of Sea Shanty combined. It's actually beautiful
I'm sure others will give you a better lowdown than I can, but basically the group (at the time) consisted of: Adam Rupp (founder member - Home Free have been active for about 24 years with a few changes in membership). In chronological order: Adam Rupp is the beatboxer and is an exceptional talent - his "drum solo" is unbelievable. Next comes Rob Lundquist - lead tenor. He joined in 2008. His voice is so versatile, country, r&b, gospel, pop and even opera. The third current member is Tim Foust who joined in 2012 - he's the deep bass you can hear and he can go sooooo looooooow, but he has a 5 octave range and can sing up in the rafters too. He has his own solo channel where you can hear his range in lots of doo-wop songs. He's the main spokesman for the group and MC for their concerts (read "parties". Austin Brown (high tenor) joined in 2013 - trained in musical theatre and his voice is just gorgeous. Austin left the group this year after he got married and has his own channel with his solo work on it - definitely worth a look! He was replaced by Adam Bastien and Home Free have two videos out in which Bastien is the lead. Finally, Adam Chance (known as Chance) joined in 2016 when the co-founder and Adam's brother Chris Rupp left to do other projects. Chance is the baritone/bass and covers for Tim when Tim leads, leading to added versatility. Home Free's channel is a very deep rabbit hole to go down, but it is worth it. Every song is just magic. Dive in!
I don't know if any other home fry has mentioned it but this was recorded during COVID. So each member recorded their bit at home. The video is really astonishingly good.
Tim Foust, the guy dressed up in the hat and stein in his hand, is their bass. He has a 5 octave voice. You should check out Brothers in Arms, Hillbilly Bone, and Mam Of Constant Sorrow.
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole of a rich collection of covers and originals that range from playful to tearjerking serious. You can't go wrong with a Home Free video and the Home Fries (fans) will come along on the journey. Thanks for the reaction.
Just subbed for more Home Free! They are the best a capella group, in my opinion. Can't wait for your next reaction to them.. check out one of their most popular songs, Man of Constant Sorrow. And yes, all the sounds you'll hear are all their voices! Deep voice in this one is Tim Foust. Beatboxer is Adam Rupp. 😊
Thank you for this. I will definitely add this one to my list of song to hit next from them! 🔥 Also, thanks for subbing! Appreciate you for tuning in!! 💙✌️
The deep voice comes from Tim Foust (captain jack) and yes they are Acapella. They guys are amazing. The beatboxer is Adam Rupp and he is phenomenal. Check out their video man of constant sorrow. They are serious and fun both
This is a great song. These boys are a total accapella group. These boys are amazing and can sing any genre. Tim Foust is the bass and he has a 5 octave range. Tim was the one in the black pirate hat. Check out Man of Constant Sorrow, Brother and Listen to the Music. Also check out End of the Road ❤❤❤❤
If you love lyrics, there are a number of HF videos you might like - particularly some of their originals. (their covers are also amazing, but you have probably heard those lyrics before): I've Seen (written by the bass - Tim Foust) Land of the Free (also Tim) Remember This (Tim again) Love me Like That (written by Austin - the high tenor in the red costume) Lonely Girl's World (Austin) Save the World (Austin) MR (Austin) - some word play in this one So Long Dixie (Tim and Austin) and just for your son - Ubisoft requested that they create a song for the Skull and Bones video game - Chance (The first singer) wrote one and they have recorded it - Skull and Bones is quite a song - but it does use instruments (as do Save the World and So Long Dixie)
Home Free is the real deal! They are an a cappella group (which means no instruments). They won the Sing Off in 2013 and have been going strong ever since. They did this song during the pandemic and it went viral and attracted the game maker Ubisoft to them. Ubisoft asked them to write a new shanty for their new game Skull and Bones. It’s a banger! There are instruments in the new shanty but usually they don’t use them. Their beatboxer is super talented and he was doing drums, castanets and water sounds here. The bass was the Capt. Jack Sparrow guy named TIm. Tim has 5 octaves so he can sing super low and then sing up with the tenors. 3 of them are also songwriters. They sing all genres of music. Try Skull and Bones (that Chance, the first singer wrote), In the Blood, Helplessly Hoping, I Can’t Outrun You. Enjoy!
Welcome to the Home Free party. Amazingly talented guys. Best a cappella group out there. Absolutely the best beatboxer in Adam Rupp. His castanets in Santiana blow me away every time. They have a video of this from a live concert that shows that they are just as good live. I was there and it totally blew me away. I also suggest their cover of Listen to the Music. Enjoy the ride!
This was done during covid... so they were not even together when filming and such. Going tomorrow to see them in Lancaster, PA! Deep voice is Tim.... You need to see more of these guys for sure... Just don't watch "Mayday" until your familiar with the group.... I would recommend "Man of Constant Sorrow" but many others are great... They do have another pirate one that they actually wrote. "Skull and Bones" Oh, and yes all acapello. Skull and bones was done for a video game, so there are instruments there. Another good one is "ring of fire" by johny cash.
With over 300 music videos, Home Free will have something for you to enjoy! So much fun to see a person new to Home Free discover them. They can make you cry or laugh out loud. They always leave you feeling good in some way.
Tim Foust (Fowst, rhymes with cow) is their bass. His range is impressive, from sub-woofer blowing bass to a very creditable tenor. Adam Rupp is their beatboxer/sound-maker extraordinaire who can also sing. Adam Chance is the first guy who sang. He's also got sound skills and a very respectable bass when needed. They call him Chance. Rob Lundquist is the bearded one. A man of hidden talents. He and Austin Brown (the sword-weilding tenor) have a must-see video, Two country singers attempt opera. Tears and goosebumps! Austin recently left the group, and they just got a new member, a third Adam, Adam Bastein. What are the odds?!! Takes some getting used to not hearing Austin's distinctive tenor, but this newest Adam will be a great addition to the group.
Just subscribed with hopes for more Home Free. They are the best! They do a huge variety of music and each have a very impressive vocal range. They will make you dance, cry and fall out of your seat laughing. They have great personalities and sense of humor and are genuinely good people. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range and Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, can't be beat! Enjoy this fantastic rabbit hole. Looking forward to more! Thanks for the Home Free reactions
Since you ended their video with "God Bless America" you should check out their version of "God Bless the USA" with Lee Greenwood, plus several other patriotic songs they've done like "American Pie" with Don McLean. They have other funny/goofy songs and videos too like the "Butts Medley/Remix" or an original like "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget"
Nice reaction! Just saw HF last weekend and they are amazing in person. Try "Folsom Prison Blues" if you want to hear some bass, "The Driver" is a beautiful song, if you like Home Free, you'll be in the rabbit hole for quite a while. Also, I would love to see your reactions to The Dead South. Try "Broken Cowboy" (Happy mag version), "Banjo Odyssey" if you want to get a little weird. They are from Saskatchewan,Canada, a little different, and extremely talented.
Just saw them live last night...totally incredible show!!! And, yes, they are all a capella. The gentleman in the white shirt is the beatboxer...Adam Rupp, co-founder of the group. He's the best in the business. Their live show is so much fun. They sang this song a d it was amazing.
Well if you love their harmonies and how right they are and if you love all genres and like to have fun then these are your guys! They are soooo good. Even in person! T They have tons of songs to choose to react to which most are accompanied by a video as well 8:47 and keep adding more songs every month! Dive in and have fun! Can’t wait for more reactions! Please!
Always fun watching a reactor find Home Free for the first time. Lots of answers already here for you, so I'll just say, since finding Home Free, I haven't taken my TV off of UA-cam. I watch all things Home Free, hence stumbling across your video. Welcome to the rabbit hole... it's deep, but you won't regret it.
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole.....have fun watching and getting to know the group. They have a wide range of styles mostly country, but they can sing anything and upgrade it. They do mostly covers, but do have some of their own original music to....Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget is a good one. There are 2 different videos for that one.
These guys are an absolute party live. The audience sings along. They encourage interaction. I get to see them in concert again in 3 weeks. I can’t wait! 🎶🥰 I hope you do more Home Free. They have a very deep catalog! Playful? Do their Butts Medley! 🤭
I know not everyone loves these but both always brighten my day, they are just fun. “Butt Remix”, “Country Fried Pop”, and last one I’ll mention is “How Great Thou Art” is beautiful.
All songs by homefree they do alot covers and make better and they have their own original keep in mind Tim is bass has 5 octave range the lead singer here is Adam chance who does bass when Tim isn’t and he just wrote skull and bones for a video game
I am actually surprised this doesn't have more views yet. Home Free is very popular. The way they managed to continue making videos during the pandemic was very fun. Your questions have already been answered, right? Much of their music leans in a country direction. They do a lot of covers, but they also have originals. Soft and meaningful: "Helplessly Hoping" and "I Can't Outrun You" are two good choices. A lot of people suggest "Ring of Fire" and "Man of Constant Sorrow" as good starting points. I personally enjoy the version of Ring of Fire that features Avi Kaplan who is the former bass to another acapella group (Pentatonix) and now does solo music that falls somewhere in the folk/Americana range much of the time. I am a huge Avi fan though, so I might be a tad biased. Off to watch Ren.
Meh, I’m not too terribly worried about the views. More about finding new music and huge bonus if people find it and enjoy it! 😊 Thank you for giving me the rundown on some other good ones to check out by them! I thought they were really fun to listen to, so they will definitely be back when I need a quick pick me up. Thanks for tuning in!! 💙✌️
Of the current acapella groups who are popular now, Home Free is by far my favorite. I've been following them for six months or so, maybe longer, and I still remind myself at the end of a song, "oh yea, acapella." Home Free do all sorts of music, some serious, some funny, all beautiful. They do some original songs, and most folks say their "covers" are actually upgrades. Enjoy! We'll be seeing you around.
Home Fry here (that’s what Home Free fans call themselves) and new subscriber for more Home Free. This went viral on Tik Tok during Covid. Ubisoft heard it and asked Home Free to write a sea shanty for their new video game Skull and Bones. Chance, the first voice in this medley and Home Free’s sea shanty aficionado wrote a fantastic sea shanty for the game called Skull and Bones (I would suggest the official Home Free video first but there are shorter live versions from when Ubisoft introduced the game). I think you would really enjoy it. They are by far my favorite group! They can make you laugh till you cry or cry from gut wrenching emotions. They have many fantastic originals as well. You have received many great suggestions already to get you started, I just might add one of their originals “I’ve Seen” to the list. Thank you for a fun reaction, I hope your son enjoys it too!
Adam Chance, the first singer, is a sea shanty fan and talked the group into doing this. I believe it is why a video game company approached him to write a song for a game. Home Free recorded three versions of “Skull and Bones,” which Chance on guitar and Austin Brown, the high tenor who had a sword in this video, on mandolin: one with elements of the game, a shorter live version and a third as a music video with a story. I think you’d like any or all.
I am a HOME FREE addict! They have such a broad range of songs, from opera to blues to raegae (spelling) to silly to serious.......you'll find out once you view their catalog of song titles. Many have said that Home Free doesn't do covers....they remake them into their own hits! WELCOME TO HF!
If fun is what you're looking for check out their '="Butts Medley", "Champagne Taste", Hillbilly Bone" and "Brothers". The bass is the one dressed as Jack Sparrow (Tim Foust). The one that started the song is Aam Chance A.K.A. Chance. The beatboxer was in the while shirt playing with the skull. The one you thought was the bass is the tenor, Rob Lundquist. The one in the red pirate outfit is the high tenor Austin Brown (Austin has since left the band and has gone solo) his replacement is Adam Bastien. They are the only all A 'Capello country band. They are amazing and the best all vocal band out there. Anything Home Free is Great. I kid you not; you can't go wrong with Home Free.
: ) Welcome to the rabbit hole we all fell in and ain't a damn bit mad about it! 9yrs for me, and still just tickled and amazed. LIVE - They are even better!!! (They kick it up a notch -- or take it down about 4 notches, you'll learn : ) Others will have offerings ......... and they are 100% voices ....'cept, if they do use instruments (collabs!), you'll see 'em st8 up! Be Safe
This was filmed during Covid. They were all filming from home and sending to their production guy. There is a professional Live recording of this in front of a 5,000+ audience that’s really even better than this video. Anything you pick from their vast library of songs will be just awesome.
Welcome to the Home Free Rabbit Hole, You are about to hear the greatest group of acapella group ever. My suggestion is to start at Man of Constant Sorrow then to really blow you away turn up the sound an play Listen to the Music. There are many great cover song and three of the guys have channels where they do side music to boot. I just subscribed to your channel so at the next Home Free reaction you post I will give you the mind blowing next song, I say mind blowing because it is so far from what you would expect that its crazy.
Great reaction! New subber here, because of Home Free. More acapalla groups are Pentatonix and VoicePlay. In case you haven't reacted to them before. ALL Fabulously talented groups! All unique in their own way! Thanks. So excited to hear more.
Thank you for subbing, I appreciate you!! I’ve listened to this song at least 15 more times since recording this. 😂 They are so good and I haven’t even heard anything else!! 👀
Tim Faust, the deep bass, is the one in full pirate captain garb with the drinking tankard. Yes, they are acapella, this song in particular uses no instruments whatsoever (except their voices). You should check out their arrangement of "Man of Constant Sorrow."
Deep voice belongs to the guy in the captains hat and dreadlocks, Tim Foust. The first guy, red cap, is the real pirate of the group, Adam Chance "Chance", baritone/bass. And YES they are "a cappella". PLEASE do your research on them !! They deserve the respect.
Ren, & now the Home Free lads?!... if I can get you into Sleep Token & Jinjer we're automatically best friends! LOL p.s. set aside a chunk of your December to do a "12 days of Home Free" or similar (preferably with polls to drive interaction) - they have loads of great Christmas material, & that would go down a treat with tens of thousands of Home Fries who watch all the reaction vids they can find! ;)
all home free songs are amazing and if you are going down the acapella rabbit hole you really need to check out Voiceplay as well. The deep one is Tim who is in the middle dressed as Jack Sparrow. Geoff Castaways of Voiceplay also has a spectacular low voice enjoy the journey ❤
Get ready for all the info. about the guys and the next 200 Home Free songs. Welcome to the rabbit hole 🕳 that never ends. The bass is Tim Foust and his lowest note is a C0, meaning concerts may have to kiss them goodbye if they don't have updated speakers. new subscriber
That is so nuts to think he can hit such a low note the speakers can’t handle the bass 😂 Appreciate you for subbing to the channel! I’m looking forward to hearing more from these guys! 💙✌️
THANK YOU to all you Home Fries out there for dropping some knowledge in the comments!!!
I think the next 3 will be:
1. Man of Constant Sorrow
2. Brothers in Arms
3. Skull and Bones
As a veteran I’m super excited to hear #2, songs like these usually hit me different!!

You won’t want to miss his 5-octave run in 5 seconds in “Do You Hear What I Hear?” Tim also has a solo channel which you can view at www.timfoustmusic.com
For Chance’s smooth baritone/bass, check out Skull & Bones, Down to the Honky Tonk, Brothers In Arms, Cover Me Up, I Can’t Outrun You, and Folsom Prison Blues. (Awesome... a basso profundo and a baritone/bass in the same group.) FYI, Chance is singing (throat singing) the jaw harp sounds - without the jaw harp - in Man Of Constant Sorrow. You can find his solo work and collaborations at www.theadamchance.com
For Rob’s soulful tenor, check out End of the Road, Blue Ain’t Your Color, or Bless The Broken Road. You can check out their podcast at www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-avid-indoorsmen--3265024
For Austin’s soaring tenor, check out Crazy, Moonshine, When A Man Loves a Woman, or Bring Him Home. You can also check out his solo work at www.austinbrownmusic.com
Adam Bastien stepped into Austin’s tenor spot in June 2024.
Nothing else like it.)
For their tight harmonies, check out Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, or Auld Lang Syne.
(Unchained Melody, Castle On The Hill, Seven Bridges Road, Only In America) To paraphrase another Home Fry, “They don’t just own a cover, they upgrade it.”
You are doomed, Home Fry. Bring ketchup.
Aren't we all in that hole😂
FYI, Chance's former group was Street Corner Symphony. They came in second on the second season of The Sing-Off. (If you've never seen Tim's "interview" of Chance when he first joined -- Between Two Tims -- you should go find it and watch him teasingly needle Chance about losing).
@@lrfcowperThanks - I fixed it.
That covers it pretty well! Any song, any erea . They are all good.
Their cover of Brothers in Arms will astound you.
I agree! The original by Dire Straights is too fast and a little harder to catch all the words, IMO!
If you want another fun one of theirs, check out the Butts Medley or Champagne budget
Thank you for this. I will definitely add them to my “Home Free list” 😊 Appreciate you for tuning in!!
They have a live version of this professionally recorded. It's awesome.
Oh geeze, timworks981, this was great. May I quote a piece of your post in my posts?
@@GaiaOne Be my guest, certainly.
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole
The group started in 2000/2001( there’s contention on the year)by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp
They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular.

They are just funny, down to earth, humble nice guys. They are the best A Cappella group there is IMO
Sorry for the long read 🏠🍟
Adam Chance wrote his own Sea Shanty for a video game called Skull and Bones. He also did a solo one with a couple of Sea Shanty combined. It's actually beautiful
I loved their rendition of Man of Constant Sorrow. Yes acapello.
Yes , Acapella. They sing a variety of genres. They will always amaze you.
Dive in!
Home Free! The best of the very best!
I don't know if any other home fry has mentioned it but this was recorded during COVID. So each member recorded their bit at home. The video is really astonishingly good.
Man of constant Sorrow, When A Man Loves A Woman, How Art Thou All their stuff is fire
Yes they are acapella
How Great Thou Art
listen to the cover of LISTEN TO THE MUSIC they nail it
The one sporting the Jack Sparrow look is producing those deep bass sounds. This was filmed during the Pandemic when they were all in their own homes.
Big rabbit hole!
They are AMAZING. They did this during Lockdown
That was so much fun! Great reaction to our guys! New subscriber!
Thank you for subscribing!! 😊💙✌️
If you love lyrics, there are a number of HF videos you might like - particularly some of their originals. (their covers are also amazing, but you have probably heard those lyrics before):
I've Seen (written by the bass - Tim Foust)
Land of the Free (also Tim)
Remember This (Tim again)
Love me Like That (written by Austin - the high tenor in the red costume)
Lonely Girl's World (Austin)
Save the World (Austin)
MR (Austin) - some word play in this one
So Long Dixie (Tim and Austin)
and just for your son - Ubisoft requested that they create a song for the Skull and Bones video game - Chance (The first singer) wrote one and they have recorded it - Skull and Bones is quite a song - but it does use instruments (as do Save the World and So Long Dixie)
Great list!!
@@rllangevin3841 feel free to add to it.
Was at their concert yesterday. They did this song at the end of the show or as Tim calls it party. I was just as great as the video.
You're going to love this group. They are very talented and you will hear things you didn't think were possible.
The man dressed as Jack Sparrow is thier Bass Tim Foust. They are accapela
Just subscribed with hopes for more Home Free.
By far the best acapella group out there.
Home Free Sea shanties live and really be blown away
Just subscribed with hopes for more Home Free. They are the best! They do a huge variety of music and each have a very impressive vocal range. They will make you dance, cry and fall out of your seat laughing. They have great personalities and sense of humor and are genuinely good people. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range and Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, can't be beat! Enjoy this fantastic rabbit hole. Looking forward to more! Thanks for the Home Free reactions
There is a live version of this.
Welcome to the family of home fries 🎉...they do all ...and I do mean ALL genres of music...enjoy the 🐇 🕳 😅
The one with the beer mug is the bass tim .. and they all rotate the lead
Theses guys have so much good stuff and yes they are acapella
I love it! Ive been enjoyig this. Sail NOrth has some nice ones too! weekend viking here, but it is in the some kinda vein.
The one with the beer mug is the bass tim
Just wanted to let you know that Tim Foust the deep bass can also go very, very high. He has been blessed with a 5 octave + range.
One of their best songs ever is Listen To The Music by the Doobie Brothers
Nice reaction!
Just saw HF last weekend and they are amazing in person. Try "Folsom Prison Blues" if you want to hear some bass, "The Driver" is a beautiful song, if you like Home Free, you'll be in the rabbit hole for quite a while.
Also, I would love to see your reactions to The Dead South. Try "Broken Cowboy" (Happy mag version), "Banjo Odyssey" if you want to get a little weird.
They are from Saskatchewan,Canada, a little different, and extremely talented.
Thank you!!! 💙
They have tons of songs to choose to react to which most are accompanied by a video as well 8:47 and keep adding more songs every month!
Met the group last night in Hagerstown. Great group of guys, down to earth, music outstanding!
Welcome to the rabbit hole 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Thank you for giving me the rundown on some other good ones to check out by them! I thought they were really fun to listen to, so they will definitely be back when I need a quick pick me up. Thanks for tuning in!! 💙✌️
Definitely listen to Man of constant sorrow, When a man loves a woman, and the butt's medley
You loved this studio sea shanties. Please view them live doing same songs. You will see just how great that are.
Home Free - man of constant sparrow, and ring of fire. two that sow case what they can do. and yes they are acapella.
They are hands down the best occopella group there is.
Ren AND Home Free???!!! Yes!! Now I have to subscribe. 😁
Seat belt in sir, they will take you for a ride. Everything they sing is gold.
They made this music video during COVID and they are each at their own houses.
Welcome to the rabbit hole. These guys are amazing and just as good live. It's all accapella. Pick anything they do and it's 🔥.
Home Free's, "Hillbilly Bone" is another fun song!!
I think you’d like any or all.
this was recorded during Covid and they were all in different locations
Can you believe this was done during the Covid lock down? Home Free kept us sane! Try their song during the same time "Quarantine"! Home Fry for life!
They never miss on a song
I am a HOME FREE addict! They have such a broad range of songs, from opera to blues to raegae (spelling) to silly to serious.......you'll find out once you view their catalog of song titles. Many have said that Home Free doesn't do covers....they remake them into their own hits! WELCOME TO HF!
Thank you!! 💙 Glad to be working my way into the fryer and on the way to being a Home Fry! 🔥✌️
For the answer to who was that deep voice, you should react to their cover of "Man of Constant Sorrow"
The pirate in the middle is Tim Foust.....the deep voice. The deepest you will hear! And sometimes the highest. Welcome to this rabbit hole.....enjoy!
Welcome! Looking forward to more!
Yes they are Acapella!!❤❤
Home free is the best a Capella group anywhere
If you have TikTok,this was this was the group whose song was used for dance music.
Thanks for the great reaction. Just subscribed for your journey down the Home Free rabbit hole.
Adam Rupp is the best beatboxer they are lol acapella
If you want to laugh a lot, they have such fun with The Butts Remix and again they show the amazing talent they all have.
Everybody Walkin This Land, please! 😊
Thedeep bass is Tim Faust. The one who looks most like captain jack. Totally and fully a capella
❤
Ren, & now the Home Free lads?!... if I can get you into Sleep Token & Jinjer we're automatically best friends! LOL
p.s. set aside a chunk of your December to do a "12 days of Home Free" or similar (preferably with polls to drive interaction) - they have loads of great Christmas material, & that would go down a treat with tens of thousands of Home Fries who watch all the reaction vids they can find! ;)
You want to hear the deep voice of Tim Foust you should do man of constant sorrow and ring of fire Johnny cash cover
all home free songs are amazing and if you are going down the acapella rabbit hole you really need to check out Voiceplay as well.
That is so nuts to think he can hit such a low note the speakers can’t handle the bass 😂
Appreciate you for subbing to the channel! I’m looking forward to hearing more from these guys! 💙✌️
Great reaction!!! Absolutely you must check out Home Free - Man of Constant Sorrow.
