- Get your first look at the national tour of Disney’s Frozen. The tour stars Caroline Bowman as Elsa and Caroline Innerbichler as Anna, alongside Austin Colby-who is married to Bowman-as Hans, F. Michael Haynie as Olaf, Mason Reeves as Kristoff, Jeremy Morse as Weselton, and Collin Baja and Evan Strand alternating as Sven.

as much as I love Caroline Bowman this wasn't her strongest vocals, it sounded like she was sick?
You should check the version of Disney on Broadway's channel. They redid the vocals.

I'm obsessed with Caroline Bowman, but this is not her strongest vocally (or even 90%..) I'm shocked this is the footage they went with. I hate that they do press smack dab after previews/after their first location.

I am guessing the quick change dress is done on the stairs in the tour? Looks like someone prob is behind the top of stairs to be able to pull it when its time. I would guess it is this setup so if a theater doesnt have trap door access it can be done or if no basement to be able to cut a trap door. BTW its done by trapdoor on Broadway if anyone didnt know. There is a small round door she walks over just before the change so who is under stage can grab her dress to give her a signal that they have it and when she puts her arms out for "the past is in the passstttt" then it is yanked from her while she walks forward and then the trap door closes. It is hidden by fog but in some videos you can see it done if you slow it down. Too bad they didnt show the quick change here so you can figure out what they do on tour.

I just saw it last night in LA and yeah it’s something like that. When the backdrops rise it’s there and as she walks up it, it slides forward and back on tracks in the stage. She just stands in one place as it moves back and fourth with fog coming up from behind it. I figured something was being attached as she stands there and was pulled off mechanically as she walks down the steps when she changes. Because of the moving piece on tracks, I don’t think anyone was inside and she stands in one place for quite a bit on it. I don’t think she would of needed to for so long if it was just a person hidden in fog grabbing it from underneath.
In this tour, Elsa and Hans are married in real life. It's so amusing for Hans x Elsa fans ^w^

@@yuhgetintoit3190 not at all :D . you are absolutely right that Hans is bad! I'm a small fan of it because the world of fanart and fanfiction, people have created their own stories of redemption and forgiveness arc for Hans- which some stories are good.
on the other hand , I do support Elsa being single too. Elsa does not need a man :P

Martin Moore she wears the kristoff outfit on broadway too. That’s because they don’t end up going to wandering oakens trading post until act 2, so she borrows some of kristoff’s until then.

However they have fixed the audio a bit in newer releases.

It's live theatre, if you go in to watch a show expecting the same vocals as the trailer, you're probably going to be sorely disappointed. These women are powerhouses, but they still have to perform 8 times a week, as well as rehearsals, put ins for new cast members. They're not always going to sound perfect.
The first time in forever sounds really pitchy to me. Like the long and important notes are sort of screechy/screlty. Just me?

The lady playing Anna and Caissie Levy is perfect cast for the role of Anna and Elsa respectively
The actress playing Anna (in the video) once said in an interview that she actually auditioned for Anna in the Pre-Broadway Production of Frozen in Denver, with Caissie Levy as Elsa before Patti Murrin. Unfortunately she did not get casted as Anna.
Why did they have to make Anna a belter?? They fall off the end of the note EVERY SINGLE TIME without fail-- both Annas I've seen at least. Those notes were not written with the intention of being belted. . .

I just went and saw this at my city and the understudy played anna (I cant remember her name) but she was SO GOOD. I am SO happy I got to see the understudy anna cause she hit it out of the park props to original Anna but that girl was insane. Her vocals and acting were amazing.

i’m not trying to be rude and with all respect to the actors because i know from first hand that singing can be really hard but why do all the lead females sound like they are screaming when they sing

This is on a recording so it sounds “bigger” than it would in the audience...
Will say tho caroline bowman is struggling which is surprising but shes still great
and from press days and these things that are recorded very very early in the tour, i can confidently say that there's so so much improvement from those videos to the time i see them a few months later. i've had personal experiences with other tours that ended this way.

This is the first musical I’ve ever seen and I was so happy after. It was magical and the actors were INCREDIBLE. Even my dad liked it and is excited for Hamilton. (It was his first time watching a musical too) I hope maybe it comes back to Los Angels one day. I got a shirt and book in the theater :)
Fun Fact: Alyssa Kim (Young Elsa) is the sister to breakout 'Minari' star Alan Kim.

Not surprised. The role is probably the most demanding one in the show. I think "Anna" is on for all but 3 scenes, and does the most dancing/climbing while singing. All of the "Anna's" have missed several shows. I have a relative in the touring cast, and she's in awe of the ability of Caroline and her covers to do this week-to-week.

I don't like the way they did this.The travel version seems more childish than the Broadway one. Monster is less intense in this version, plus a bunch of other stuff, but Monster is my favorite song. I don't like how they sucked the fierceness from it.
