  • Jerusalem, 70 CE: The soldiers of the Roman legion breach the walls and invade Jerusalem. A brutal battle takes place in the streets of Jerusalem. Thousands of Jews are hiding underground in the drainage channel that runs under the main street.
Arrowheads, rebellion coins and oil candles from the channel that was used for hiding - these are just some of the many findings discovered in the archaeological experience in the Emek Zurim National Park, that are evidence of the last moments of the city on the eve of the destruction.
The dramatic findings were discovered by visitors who participated in the archaeological experience, and we invite you to join and take part in uncovering the history of Jerusalem. For details: bit.ly/3K8Dp15

Neat video about a very sad time. Thank you. P.S. I would love to be able to sift the dirt found in the tunnels. It would be a great opportunity.

If you are going to Israel, you must visit Yerushalayim. If you are going to Yerushalayim, you must visit Ir Dovid. Take the tour. It's a tough one, but well worth the effort.

@@Tali5899 Not everyone goes to Israel for religious reasons. Some go just for vacation because they like the climate. Both reasons are good for the Israeli tourist industry.

@@MFPhoto1 hmmmm yeaaah that's like saying some people tour the UK fir the green scenery but don't go to London to see Buckingham Palace.Kind of ridiculous.Jerusalem is the very centre of the world, the worlds oldest history and the spark of so much debate, violence and hatred its kind of a pretty big tourist spot.Mbe you mean some people just avoid it bc of the religious connotations.Often the jews incidentally.

For those of us who don't speak Hebrew who want to see this you make it go so fast that we can't read what you're saying if you could just slow it down a little bit I hate the fact that I can't watch this part of the city of David because you goes so fast I really wish you'd slow it down so that those of us who need to read can actually see what's being said

Suggestion that works for all UA-cam videos:
On the lower right black bar of the video frame (just underneath the progress bar) you'll see an icon that looks like a 6 pointed sprocket. Left click on it. A dropdown will come up. Left click on playback speed. You'll have options of 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, Normal, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75 and lastly 2.0/ double speed. Try 0.75 speed. If that's still too fast try 0.5 speed. I speak Hebrew at about the level of a toddler so I slow it down to 0.5 and sometimes I can understand far more than at normal speed. Good luck.

On the phone, start the video and then pause it. You will see a gearshift icon in the upper corner, tap that icon. It will bring up a menu and towards the bottom, tap 'playback speed'. Then find 0.75x on that menu. The video should then play at 75% of normal speed. Also you will have to repeat the process to go back to normal speed. Hope that helps!
