I too have not picked up a deathclaw mask since the beginning. Then I had some lvl 400 pop up at my camp and offered one for 10k.
It’s the only one I’ve been wanting to get and I’ve been doing the event since it came out 😭
A couple years ago, I had a guy throw a temper tantrum because I wouldn't sell him one of the two Deathclaw Masks I have. It was hilarious.
I keep one of each and sell the rest of the non-rare ones during the event for 10 caps. And when the event is over I vendor them or give them away to new players. Caps are easy to get...

Yeah caps are generally worthless, i have discovered in the last few weeks. You spend too much time trying to get rid of them than using them for something you "need" lol
I agree... Im at that point I can no longer be considered newb but also not a vet lol... And I realized that, as you progress thru the game, and start understanding what is worth and what is not, you start organically making more caps than you can spend. I think the 40k limit should be raised to at least 100.
I actually consider my caps more valuable than any item I could purchase with them because I like to run my aristocrats build
I done 75 Event's. Not one glowing mask. I just can't bring myself to AFK camp. Most people i know with a few Glowing mask all Afk. I been selling my Mask for 150 to 300 because i have probably 50 still. Im disappointed that so many Afk. Some all day and night while i burn through amo yet they get the glowing doing absolutely nothing. Both Scorch i sell for 300. They seem to sell the fastest.

What moral highground are you trying to die on??? I had 4 days off work, every hour I was up, I was doing the event. I finally go asleep while AFK and wake up with 2 rare mask after 4 straight days of nothing.

If I go to do the event and I see a bunch of players AFKing I’ll just jump servers. I’m not going to do the work of doing the entire event for them so they can sit back and do nothing. I one time joined the event and there was 20 players but only five of them were actually doing the event.

Every glowing mask is a trade only item. Even the rare ones that aren't glowing are extremely valuable. Finding a non glowing rare for 6.5k caps is a steal.

Bro brahmins for 7k and they didn’t sell. I feel like a dick but I need to ask. Do you have your camp location turned on? I follow the market and they are worth more than that. Glowings are worth hundreds of thousands of caps. Definitely do your research. If you want something for them you can get it. Minus a few things of course.

The new player flood really killed the 76 markey lately. I sell at cost or lower. The high price is because it is the new item. Next season, they'll be cheaper and easier to get. I still remember when the sun mask was rarest in the game, now its a dime a dozzen. Be patient new players and dont give in to the market hype.
Actually the drops will continue to get worst with time due to them increasing the pool of masks able to drop at the event

I just want the glowing pig lol, getting every other mask it seems, got glowing blue devil and glowing scorchbeast queen, but im grinding for the glowing pig, soon as i seen the datamined pics of it i knew that was literally the only fasnacht mask i want, seems to be a pain to get it to drop though hahahaha
If you are on pc, i actually have de glowing pig and if you want it, Icould trade it for the glowing sorched queen :)

My second rare mask ended up being a second glowing turkey. I stumbled into some guys camp who had a lot of masks on display. My mic wasn't working so I gestured over to his demon mask and managed to make a trade without any scams. He would've given it to me for 6000 caps (didn't have it) now I'm starting to feel like I scammed myself because I got a third rare mask and it's another demon mask😢😂
Demon mask is the most desirable non glowing mask

Was rewarded 3 glowing masks and a death claw. And somehow found a glowing in someone's vendor for 150 caps, so I scooped that too

All of the 21 Rare masks are Trade Only. Consider them trade currency. the older years are 40k, the last couple years are around 1 million caps.
An important trading discord set the new glowing ones at max 800k caps. And yes, trade only. And after the Fasnacht ends, could double the price
Really, whats the point? You can only store 40k at any given time, and caps are so easy to make without even really trying. Unless you have an army of alts and want to top off the cap limit on each one of them.
@@AurigaStar Trade Only. The Best, Most desired level of items are used to trade for other top extreme things. The rarest thing that takes 1000+ hours to get you'd never (unless you don't know better) sell for 40k or less. Getting 40k is easy, getting the rarest items is not.
How do you sell something for more than 40,000 caps if we have a 40,000 limit? how do they store?

played practically all day yesterday, and got virtually nothing extraordinary whatsoever. received 4 regular giant masks consecutively in a row and a few others just regular stuff/ bad day, and I heard from other players, the same thing.
He does not outright say it but any glowing mask is a trade only item it is worth more than any amount of caps You can get . Just a couple days ago I traded a glowing Turkey for 3000 ish flux. If you get one of the new ones you can basically trade it for any item you want. be picky. You hold the power!

All the new glows are going for 700k and the unicorn robot around 900k. 3k flux is 60k value in the market.

I just got back to fallout 76 a month ago and I gotten 5 total glowing masks(2 unicorn, 1 alien, 1 scorched beast and 1 scorched beast queen) soo far so this video was actively helpful

Go into the corner houses and go afk. Play a holo game. You should be good if there are only 13 players or not many people fighting. That's what I do. Some people might give you crap for going AFK and won't believe you if you say you'll get booted. Just accuse you of lying and being lazy lol. Just do you. You shouldn't get booted for helping in the beginning phase. I have the same problem but have managed to get 4 rares. 2 of them glowies. If there aren't many people fighting, help them. You should be good. You still have a chance to get a rare one. Don't throw in the towel, if a rare mask is what you want.
if i try to AFK for too long, ie overnight, the game always crashes... :(
but the only time i got a glowing mask i was actually participatig in the event.
First time I have done this event. I have dozens of masks in my stash. I will wait a month. I also have so many plans.
Every mask that isn't a glowing one I sell for 10 caps unless it's a scorch beast I get 2k for those and 3k for the queens. I have gotten 4 glowing ones so far this time and I only do a couple events per day . I don't even play 76 I play a different game and come back for the event 10 minutes after it starts lol
As soon as the event finishes i forget ive got these masks. Till the next event.

Good to know, I have a ton of these masks I've been just randomly dumping it white springs, rusty pick and the overseer's hours. This stuff takes up so much room it's getting hard to do normal tasks lol. I wish they would up the storage limit lol!

@@andrewmarshall1396 true, but I'm a pack rat and still working on the tadpoles quests to get the bigger bag. Also I'm such a a tard that I didn't know I could recraft the small bag up lvls and get a little bit more room. The only thing saving my butt right now is the extra hundred from excavator armor and lower weight perk cards. Hell I'd buy extra storage if that was actually a thing.. I just hate dumping things for script because for the most part I don't know what's good or just trash worthy of only script.
@@ThatZyberGuy weight is a big issue In this game the struggle is tedious, especially if you are fairly new or low lvl. I can carry 300 plus without power armor so it's bareable.. just. I'd prioritize scrip over everything else so you can roll legendaries and get that perfect rolled weapon for your build. This takes a lot of time playing and fine tuning to learn or UA-cam vids lol 👍
@@andrewmarshall1396yeah I tried that and fully took advantage of the 1,000 script. But I have so much crap. I didn't have enough time to dump everything on top of all the rewards with the vents that I've been getting. I've been storing three star and just dropping one and two star now. I have a stash full of three star and a pack full of three star lol I've even just gone up to players that are low level and probably new characters for older players and dropping stuff just to make room for new stuff. On the rolling legendaries I have no clue what's even good. I like full health so I think I'm leaning towards unyielding I believe cuz I don't like low health and the bloody builds even though they're insanely powerful from what I've seen. Kind of makes me wish I stayed playing back when I bought the game day one. Maybe then I'd have a better idea
@@ThatZyberGuy my builds are all full health, ones rifle vats ones heavy energy and the other is a mixture. Never liked blodied feels like cheating and you dont need it at all if your weapons and perks are in harmony.
Anyone selling their mask for caps let me know because all that 5:2 or 4:1 is just insane, every rare item has the same drop rate so I find their value to be equal
New player and all I've been doing is get a couple shots on the enemy and move to another, rinse and repeat. Just enough to get the loot from the dead body and ammo. Roughl about 2-3 shots and move to another. Get my experience and whatever msh I get. I'm cool with it, till I'm leveled and using one hitter quitters myself.

Just found a bafoon mask at a train station vendor paid 23 caps for it
They are worth well over 40k caps, you could say they're "trade only". I got 2100 flux for four masks, which equates to about 700,000 caps on PS4/PS5. I suspect he was selling them on some sort of trading market like on reddit, probably for 1k flux or more. He originally bought the first two for 1000 and 1100, but then "scammed" me on the next two, but I'm fine with more than doubling my flux I grinded hours and hours for, in exchange for some goofy looking masks I will never wear. I've worn the same Nuka-World jacket and steel mining helmet for most of my whole FO76 career.

I traded a glowing menaur for a ton of plans i didnt have, weenie wagon, butter churns, tubes, and a bunch of other things. Probably over 50 plans. Awesome trade. But do sell for caps ever.

I didn't get a churn for a while either, then I got 3 in one day. The drop rate doesn't seem as extreme as the rare masks so chances are good they'll start showing up in player vendors
I put a winterman up for 10000 and it sold almost instantly.
Fair play to all the people having the patience to grind on this stupid event for those masks, after over 50 goes and getting rubbish the only thing it's done is kill my enthusiasm to play it...first and last time
Not gonna lie I agree. This is pretty tedious to get one single glowing or the rarest mask at all. Especially when AFK’s also just ruin the experience on top of that in my opinion I dunno. This event is… meh.

@@DarkHunterer Doing it solo on private server isn't helping my runs either mind you, for the most part I'll save all robots and get crap rewards apart from cores and so forth. I'm thinking there's a big prob with the event on fallout first as beeswax and radtoad eggs don't spawn rather often which screws everything up.
Not just that but bots freezing half way through and it can fail the event. Annoying af :/

I don't understand why people consider those ugly and useless things valuable. Makes me want to scrap all of mine. And on top of that I had no luck getting the Motorized Butter Churn plan which is actually useful.
Status really, it's like in real life some people will be the ugliest items but since it's a collectors item/rare it's just that. I know it's a game, but people still like to have items not everyone can easily get a hold of.

All fallout players are hoarders, rare cosmetics will always have great value, still see people asking for the jumpsuits and scout masks etc even though its been years, so these glow masks are definitely up there too, ive had 3 drop but a scammer took 1 of them and didnt give me the glowing pig before he left the server (i should have used a courier i know, still feel crap about it)

With the 40K cap in play it really doesn't matter. I give stuff away all day long now that I am capped.
Buy stuff. If you can't find anything from players, buy NPC plans. If you have 1st sub, buy bulk crafting materials and store them.

They both raise and lower. The more common, uncommon and some rare drop in price while the sought after raises a lot.
@@ShaneAgain Thank you, I kinda figured the most wanted masks would raise due to demand since they won’t be obtainable anymore due to Fasnacht ending, thus only becoming available by trade or purchase. I am saving my glowing masks for after the event lol

All the sought-after masks lower in price the more events go on. Sun mask used to be the rarest mask of the event when it started. Now it's a throw-away piece.
@@ShaneAgain Yes but I was mainly referring to the new glowing masks, those are the ones that will be in demand, and are currently in demand. People are even buying them with real money. Lets say the Loon & Fiend masks are out of style and outdated, pretty much old masks that nobody wants anymore. I’d say the new glowing masks for this Fasnacht should go up in value. I’d say we have a window of opportunity before the next Fasnacht to get trade/sell our inventory before these new glowing masks are outdated. Supply & demand. There was a time when the Loon mask was going for $30 or more, now its at $10 or less because its old.
@@JoseRodriguez-tx1qz ah, if that's the case. Hold the masks until it gets closer to the next fasnacht event. The longer you wait, the more it'll be worth. Then it may drop a little during the event, but go right back up after.
I put a Loon mask in my vendor on Tuesday for 10k and it went within 10 minutes.

Sadly all those masks are going to be flipped through discord, but I know some individuals don't care, but just be mindful those glowing masks could potentially get you some god roll weapons although with legendary crafting coming soon it's whatever.

Modded weapons at Public Events have been a problem for a while now... lower levels don't get any kills at all and I know that is frustrating.
