  • In Panama, over a hundred million litres of hot water are used every day. But with much of this water heated using wood and fossil fuels, it comes at a cost to the climate. The United Nations Environment Programme has been collaborating with the Government of Panama and the Global Environment Facility on the Thermosolar Panama project, introducing solar water heaters to communities across the country in a bid to reduce emissions and introduce a greener, more sustainable way of heating water.
