I was riding outside of Douglas Georgia on The Run to the Sun in 1973 with 5000 other motorcycles when the bottom fell out. Never been so wet in my life.

That's a crazy story. Living in Georgia and Tennessee most of my life, I've had some close calls with tornadoes, but not THAT close. Thanks for the content Ed and Christopher!

OK seriously, this man is an inspiration. Murphy's Law has not even attempted to smack me around close to half as much as it has succeeded with Mr. Christopher Michaels.
The fact that everything can go wrong and he still makes it out and is a personal success to boot makes me smile as I think, why can't I be one too.

This dude is awesome. The third story sounds like a micro burst. They are concentrated areas of downward flowing air that can really do some damage. I've seen big parts of forests completely flattened by them. This would also explain why he felt so much pressure coming down on him (because there was) and why the rain was coming upwards. On the outer edges of a microburst the air flows along the ground and then swirls upwards. So he must have been in the center of one and then it or he moved to the outer edge.
That's what I was thinking as well. Unless he caught a tornado while it was recycling that may explain it too.

The 90 degree turns were like it was like some horrible 80s video game 😂 thats funny man. Tornadoes are beautiful but also absolutely terrifying. I saw a small one in person while I was working in pizza delivery in central Florida. It was just a bad stormy day and I saw the funnel cloud forming and, while I never saw one in person before that moment, I watched enough youtube storm chasing videos to KNOW that was a tornado forming. I pulled off the side of the road to get some pics and then delivered the pizzas and told the recipients about the tornado and pointed it out to them.
Also if anyone here loves tornadoes and other crazy weather as much as I do, check out Pecos Hank here on youtube. He has some of the best footage and the most interesting videos on the internet. He has alsk gone through a few cars that were destroyed (mostly by hail) and as it turns out, he would probably make a good guest on the channel.

I've been all over the world, seen amazing miracles. Nothing compairs to a Kansas sunset after a storm. Spend a night in the flint hills during tornado season and you wont be disappointed.

@@cudwieser3952 lol yes and no. They dont rip thru the hills most the time. But right outside of salina it's all flat. You an see the tornado's rip across the fields from safe distance. Its something wild to see.
@@user-hj1om6yu4z I'm sure it is. I've heard it said of the fronts that come across the plains, of the specticle they show and how refreshing the change of air is. From a stuffy morning, feeling hung over to a sharp awakening followed by a deep breath of encouraging air in the afternoon or evening . A smell of the earth and a feel of a cool breeze. Makes you happy to be alive...or so I've heard.

*Prediction:* Another heavily embellished Christopher story
*Reasoning:* The details either lack or don't seem authentic, the happenings are hard to stomach (especially the story with Stephen who kept rolling his car back into theirs without any serious reaction.... multiple times...), the he *intentionally* puts effort into trying to sound so cool when he describes his internal thoughts when something crazy is happening (when a man was behind the bushes and the woman was leaving the fast food restaurant, that dialogue was fabricated), the number of "wow! small world!" coincidences in all of his stories are just beyond the realm of being believable (The guy who told him, "I used to know a Drug Dealer with a truck just like this 1,500 miles away"... Tia remembering his plate, Tia running into his friends pole, Tia's husband coming into the hospital right as he was leaving, omggoshhh small world!!), and another user has pointed out that his stories ALWAYS come in 3's

Normally it drives me crazy to see people who draft on tractor-trailers, (or worse, ride a lane over in their blind spot for half an hour without passing them,) but I think this is the only time where someone has said, "the safest thing to do is pick distance behind them and stick to their tail," and been like, "you know what, that actually makes sense here."
