Watch it again, I’m choosing to believe that they didn’t actually die. I rewatched this anime 3 times now, and i finally realized the white orb of light went into Tomoyo. He was granted a wish, and he wished they could start over so she wouldn’t die. Which put them back at square 1. But then Nagisa remembered him too and they went back to when she gave birth and his full wish was that she never had the sickness that took her life in turn meaning she couldn’t pass it down to Ushio :) so he got a chance at happiness

This anime truly touched me like no other. It changed my entire perspective on life, and made me cry like no other show anime or otherwise ever has. I cried from episode 16 of Afterstory straight through episode 24 with no breaks, and the only regret I have is that I can never experience it for the first time again. 5 years ago I saw it, and it still crosses my mind every single day. People seem puzzled when I tell them Clannad is my #1 anime of all time because it's notoriously sad; that's in no small way the reason why it's my #1. It's so sad, absolutely heart breaking, and yet it's also so very beautiful. My only 10/10; a complete masterpiece.

I couldn't place where this was from, could only remember a few songs. Went through lists and lists of anime ops hell bent on finding this song. Finally I saw a different song with nagisa's picture on it, and in an instant I remembered. I remembered the blissful days of watching clannad after coming back from school, sneakily staying up at night so I could watch it. As I finally played, tears could not stop rolling from my eyes, as feelings of nostalgia, pain and longing filled my heart. Thank you Clannad , and KyoAni for giving me these beautiful memories and feelings.
