The CLOSEST I've found was Byoma Moisturizing Gel-Cream with cerimides, cholesterol, and free fatty acid! No fragrance or essential oils! I wore this under sunscreen and makeup all summer last year! It's cruelty-free ONLY $10.49 at ULTA. You simply can't beat this one even if you really, really tried😉🥴💗💗💗🥰🥰🥰🥰Have a beautiful Easter weekend 🐣🐰
I was shocked when I saw Neutrogena's recent prices. Looked up some of my old orders (haven't bought the brand for a few years), and some of their prices are a full 50% higher than they were 5 years ago. What the heck, Neutrogena? Do you, like, derive your ingredients from eggs??? Were your manufacturers in Russia??? I get there's a pandemic and shipping crisis, but this is excessive.
The main active ingredient in Clinique is urea. Only one of your "dupes" conatins urea: HadaLabo Perfect Gel. I couldn't find ingredients for Trader Joe's or Aldi so they may have it too. Without urea, none of these are dupes. They're just gel mosturizers. Some of them have fragrance and floral extracts as well. So not dupes at all.
The moisture surge from Clinique is a lot more than just the one ingredient you seem focused on. I don’t agree that the alternatives and dupes that Sarah breaks down aren’t “so” just because they are missing urea. There are so many other quality ingredients that the others she listed do have in common. Relax. Open your mind. Spread kindness. Have a great day.
@@Justanothersub Yeah, nah. Urea is the main active ingredient in Moisture Surge. Comparing other gel moisturizers sans urea is comparing apples and oranges. I am relaxed. I do have an open mind. To suggest otherwise is insulting. Go eff yourself, Sweetie.
Before watching, I just have to say that this title has me more skeptical than any you've ever posted.😉 BETTER than my beloved Moisture Surge? IDK if it can be done! (I'm one of those nerds who stocks up on the jumbos in the Nordstrom sale each year.) You've given me awesome tips before, so IDK...maybe you'll actually change my mind.❤❤❤
Nice comparison! The Clinique moisture surge is my daily hg moisturizer, and the big difference it has for me is the allergy testing that Clinique does. Whatever they do for that makes a big difference for my sensitive skin. Also the caffeine content is just right to reduce facial redness but not irritate or dry me out. If you're interested in the Clinique moisture surge - never buy it full price!! There are always Clinique sales or sales at places like Ulta where it's sold. I've tried some of these and they were irritating. The Neutrogena one was no good. Must be different preservatives or some other irritating ingredients. Plus it's missing all the anti-aging ingredients which makes it really expensive in comparison. Although nothing Neutrogena ever works for me
Same with me. I’ve tried tons of products but always come back to clinique because i have allergic prone skin. Most kbeauty that I’ve tried all of them caused allergy reactions
@@Quartza_ there are so many plant extracts in kbeauty products. I have to be really careful with them too, and only get things that have minimal ingredients.
I love today's overall look!! I'm not sure if it was intentional to match with the packaging on the Clinique moisture surge ahaha. Gel moisturizers aren't enough for my super dry skin but I'm always looking to use for summer.
Hi Sarah unfortunately even in the height of Summer this type of moisturiser (including the Clinique) is not enough even for daytime under spf, but I am super dry lol. When everyone else is reaching for gel moisturisers I'm trying normal moisturisers and not the super rich/buttery kind I normally need. Even now we're finally into Spring I'm still using the PC ultra rich and the KS Delikate moisturisers during the day under my spf (plus the Revolution dupe for the Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base as a primer before makeup) - just dry dry dry. I do have the pacifica vegan ceramide cream for when it gets a bit warmer, but it's not quite there yet and I have to add several drips of oil to use it just now. At night I'm using the PC soothing body butter as my night cream, but have stopped the layer of facial oil underneath now it's not as cold. Best wishes.
Tbh Clinique kind of sucks. I’ve tried their products many times (incl their moisture surge line) and they really did nothing for my sensitive, mature skin. Guess I was stuck in the early 90s when the idea of simply being able to afford buying Clinique’s products was a BIG DEAL to me🤣 Oh, and I can’t stand Neutrogena either 🤣
I love this kind of video, you always come up with so many great alternatives! It's a great idea to do the cruelty free dupes video. We're in such a crazy copycat era with brands, everyone's trying to copy or do better than the next guy, hopefully some more cruelty free brands keep the dupe train running!
I never tried the original, but I have tried the Aldi dupe. For the price I thought it was really good. I don't think it's available all year round, but I would definitely recommend it to those that live somewhere warm or humid. Unless I combined it with a moisturizing sunscreen, it was a bit too lightweight for my skin.
Wouldn't the isntree redbean be somewhat of a similar product to ? I have the Clinique moisture surge one already my husband went and bought it and bought the big version awhile ago when it became 100 hour or what ever it is and still going on the bonojiur that is never ending I swear I have had it forever probably should by a new at this point it's been so long it's a bang for your buck for sure . I was wondering what jour powder u used the hydrating radiant powder or hydrating matte powder I trying to find out so I can order it I found both.
Loved your review. I am allergic to Xanthan Gum which is in everything! My skin is very dry due to medication and some health problems as I've gotten older. I'm looking for a moisturizer that locks in the the moisture. I go through all the steps, clean, moisturize, foundation, everything looks good and in a few hours I can see my dry skin like I haven't even used anything under my foundation. I even switched to a cream foundation. Any advice? Thanks 😊
For some the basic the better, as I got sensitive Rosacea fungal acne skin. Sadly the Neutrogena Hydra Boost is not Fungal Acne safe due to orbitan olivate. So hard to find moisturizer that has a short ingredient list, fragrance free, and no actives and essential oils and plant extracts: green tea, aloe vera, Centella Asiatica, Pro Biotocs, fermented, shea butter and other oils, as well as Niacinamide and vitamin C. Now they discontinued the only moisturizer that I can use, Avene Extreme Tolerance Light. Trying out an MCT oil, as I do react to Squalane, which is the main ingredient in Avene, and only oil besides MCT that is safe for fungal acne skin. So annoying.
I am still loving the Bonajour water bombnotbomb and while it breaks me out slightly after two days of use - I am sticking with it. I have recently purchased three more gel based moisturisers for my oily, sensitive, acne prone skin. All of them break me out too, but few make my skin feel as good as the bomb.

Couldn’t care less about Clinique, let alone a dupe, but I watched cuz your earrings and Glinda the Good Witch top are just so cute! 😀😀😀

Another great one in Heimish watermelon moisture soothing gel cream you get 110 ml for like $25 it’s a steal and fragrance free.
I just got the Skin1004 Centella Soothing Cream, which is a lovely hydrating gel, very very nice

cute top😊
The Isntree Aloe Gel do not contain any occlusive so I wouldn’t use it as a moisturizer. It’s full of humectants but no occlusives. TEWL 😬

Agree on both points.
Your hair looks fabulous, the color and styling here is super flattering on you! Love your look here and I loved how Clinique matched you 😅
the heimish watermelon gel cream!

Closest ive found is Tony Moly Green chok chok Green tea moisturiser. The intense one is amazing! The watery one is a great start!
I think I tried this one a few years ago. From what I remember it had fragrance.
You’re waving the products around and the camera isn’t focusing, so I don’t even know what you’re talking about.
IT cosmetics is cruelty free. Just look it up. Even PETA states this. What are you talking about? Clinique isn’t cruelty free, but IT is.

Please do alternative for Clinique smart repair rich cream which I pay $135 here, I love this cream so much ♥️♥️♥️
this is so helpful
Oh thank you so much!
No way Hosea is Neutrogena dupe for Clinique, let alone better. Haven't tried the others.
Moisture Surge 100 irritated my skin after the 3-4 use.
The Etude cream has fragrance in it. Please correct me if I’m wrong
Happy to report that my Costco has the Neutrogena hydro boost on sale for a lot less than that. Yeah that’s too much to pay otherwise
The Lacura one is sold here in the states at some of the Aldis as well. Under $5
