Right now I would pick the SE. I’m currently using an iPhone 12 which is 6.1” and was using an 8 Plus before which is very similar in size to the XR. I honestly thought the SE and even the 12/13 Mini would be far too small for me now after using two bigger phones but after going to an Apple Store and picking up the SE and 13 Mini, I thought it’s the perfect size for me. I haven’t used a 4.7” iPhone as my main phone since I was using the 6S in 2017 so over the past 5 years I’ve kind of forgotten how much I liked the size, considering that I upgraded to the 8 Plus from the 6S I must have thought it was too small at the time. That’s why I would pick the SE over the XR right now, also the XR is coming up on being 4 years old and I want something that’s more future proofed. Personally if I had to buy a new iPhone right now, I would go for the 13 Mini.
The target market for SE3 are people who want their phone to be supported for the next 7yrs. They don't care about features. Just getting into ecosystem. TouchID is also a big attraction. The target market for XR are people who are looking for a bargain to get into Apple Ecosystem with a big screen and will be upgrading when they have more money. Different market.
Fair point, but I thought I'd compare for those considering what could be had for the SE 3's price point elsewhere - and considering how SE 3 sales haven't been great so far, I'm assuming it's due to better options, even with the world of iPhones
@@SaranByte I think it has more to due with the fact that people haven't thrown away their iPhone SE1/2 yet ... hahaha. Old habits die hard. I would imagine not too many people are downgrading from iPhone7/8/X to iPhoneSE3 ... if they are already happy with the screen size. It is safe to say that Apple won't be getting rid of iPhoneSE line up anytime soon, so I would reserve judgement until 1-2yrs from now ...
XR all the life I’m been for 6 years with 2 phones with touch button I always wanted a full screen phone and now that I have the XR I’m really happy about
Good conclusion. Personally, I can’t imagine going back to that tiny iP6 form factor. In 2022, people usually go for larger screens. The reason is: phones are our no. 1 computers nowadays.
@@SaranByte It makes no sense to put the powerful A15 there. But Apple makes in-house chipsets, so it’s more affordable for the to put a better CPU than a better screen (which they need to outsource).
I couldn't do it (and haven't). The battery life is still terrible on both of them compared to newer phones. I'd rather save up for a future phone than buy either of these now but if I had to pick one just to have a phone (like if my current one broke) I'd go with whichever was cheaper and use it minimally until I could get a true replacement.
Still love my XR for 4 years now still good but the battery is ok but I’m going to replace a new battery because I want to keep it for more years until a new design iPhone comes out I hope 😂
Fair. 5G adoption has been slow here, and especially in my area, I really don’t see a huge difference. So I would still get the XR for the newer design.
@@SaranByte fair enough, it’s pretty widespread in the areas I live and travel to within the US. LTE feels old and antiquated in comparison. The speed of WiFi on the go sure is nice.
If you had to go with one, which would you pick to use as your daily driver - iPhone SE 2022 or iPhone XR?
XR

I use the 11 and I’ll go with the XR

I couldn’t ask for more. I’m contented with my SE 3.

I'm glad to hear that

Exactly! Even with the older chip, the XR makes a lot more sense to use as a daily driver

Love seeing you make these videos

Fair enough ig, but the XR's battery life isn't actually that bad - it gets you around 6 hours of SOT in my experience, which is fine
@@SaranByte I’ve actually been able to get around 6 - 7 hours on my iphone se with moderate usage
I just upgraded from my iPhone XR to this new iPhone SE 2022 bc my parents don’t want to get me a better phone as they are rlly expensive.
iPhone xr? No way. Even though the se looks more dated it has a 3 years newer processor and much better cellular connectivity
Blue Xr all the way.
Agreed 🙌

Fair
Baby face Saran 😂
😂😂😂
XR was soo popular because it’s was cheap back then
True
I don’t like the classic iPhone I used to have iPhone 6plus and that was old 😂
Yeh the design is definitely showing its age lol
And the battery was longer too
Yeh battery life is reliable on the XR
5G is worth the SE over the 10R, IMO.

That sounds like the dream haha - are there tons of mmWave towers in your area, or is it mainly mid-band and sub-6 5G?
@@SaranByte both! Just downloaded the entire 2nd season of Jessica Jones in about 5 minutes while waiting to board a plane.
Still here sorry I am late
Np, thanks for stopping by
Lol neither, dish out some dinero and get a 12 or 13 pro
And my battery heath is 84%
Do you plan to replace the battery soon?
@@SaranByte yes
I will never use an iphone in my life😭
Lol why
