I found a Loro Piana denim jacket in Goodwill for $10. I didn’t know that it was a high end brand until I looked it up. It was the tag and the quality of the button that attracted my attention. On a another thrift store, I found same brand rain system jacket women for $16.
WOW CONGRATS on the dress find....they are an impressive clothing company and so thankful that they are in the Northeast in case we need a more unitque and formal piece. Love that they can come out to the house for an appointment. Can't wait to hear what this sells for. Get it listed and with all the summer functions this sshould sell for $900+. Hi Lori, the dress is certainly a find. Good for you. But as you say, this price is kind of crazy. You could buy high quality cloth by the meter and ask your local semstress/sewing person to make you the dress, would be cheaper, custom made and nobody would ever know. I mean it's not designer or a special cut or a sewing technique that nobody else could do... so what exactly would justify the price? I am curious. Any (polite and informed) opinions welcome.😊
I just sold that exact Faherty shirt btw! Actually when you showed the comps, my sale was on the screen (I got a real kick out of that 😁)!! You should be able to at least get $35, maybe more!

It was a Lafayette 148 dress NWT with a 600+ retail tag, but when I got up to the register I noticed it had some moth holes on the shoulder! I could have cried! so I left it behind. Did find 2 Tom and Linda Platt sample dresses I am curious to see how they do, never heard of them but comps look pretty good.
I’ve recently found a MARNI dress that looks brand new. $1,295. Also a pero dress that retails for $1,400! It actually makes me nervous to list expensive items and might decide to send it to The Real Real. RR has the pero dresses listed and selling for $300-$500. Generally, RR payout is so low but I had an Etro silk tunic listed in my closet for a year and couldn’t give it away. Sent it to RR and it sold for $150 in a couple weeks.
Nothing exciting at the Thrift Store but I received a 45R Indian Linen Herringbone Dress , in a Thred Up Fabric Box When I took it out I said wow this looks like a potato Sack .lol It's still on their website for $899 I was shocked
Awesome find! Last year I found an Eskandar white linen sleeveless lagenlook dress. it had a very faint discoloration and it still sold for $250. I then found another Eskandar dress and that sold for almost $300! Love love love the quiet luxury especially because people don't even know it exists!

In the past I have seen and purchased the Isoude brand and now own an eye-catching brown mustard colored linen blouse (bought at a small local thrift shop). I've always had the knack to spot a quality item. My mother taught me this skill when I was a young child and I'm grateful that it stuck with me.

@@LorisBostonFound Absolutely! I heard that there has been chatter about this being rolled out and not everyone has it currently. And still nothing official from Poshmark. I have made multiple offers today and all have the optional shipping discount. I hope it stays as it will allow for more flexibility. I know there are times when my cog would not allow me to discount because of the requirement, even if I wanted to. And there are times when I do not mind giving a shipping discount to sweeten the deal.

Lori uses Venmo which tracks it but on poshmark you can go to “my inventory report” under seller tools and date listed is part of that email.
