Burlington used to be Montgomery Wards. JC Penny's was where the Cucuarco Store is, and Sears ( Westridge Mall days) is at the other end by the food court. The store with all of the little shops and food courts used to be Mervyns. I have seen this mall change so much since it was built. Thanks for the great video.
@@skeetz623 I worked at Montgomery Wards back in the early 90's, and that's where Burlington is now. The Wards auto center is even still out there, just south of the bus depot. I worked at Sears for a few years as well and I spent my teen years at that mall being bored and annoying lol.
That bronze glass aesthetic looks pretty cool, good desert vibes. The local mall also used some bronze detail on the exterior, but pairs it with a black wall.

@@sikksotoo Was the market area ever an anchor, was it added on, or was it always part of the main mall? I haven’t been to this mall in many years, need to take a ride over there one day.
@@BreakTime10101 It wasn't part of the original mall, they expanded Westridge in the early 90s to add two more anchors that are directly connected to the rest of the mall. The Mercado was originally a Mervyn's. I haven't been back in a long time either.
I used to go to that mall all the time as a kid, lived not terribly far from it. My older brothers and me would go to the arcade and they'd be destroying people at SSF2 and Mortal Kombat. I went last month and took my daughter and it was interesting to see how stuff has changed. It was cool to see Dillard's was still there, even though it seemed they are probably on their way out seeing how a lot of stuff was on clearance and they had the entire upstairs of Dillard's closed off. Flamking Wok is STILL there and as far as I can remember it's always been there lol.
Great video! Can’t say I’ve ever been to that mall itself. Went to Desert sky Pavilion when it was called that, even got to see Van Halen there or Van Hagar.👍🏻 And….I need a haircut, u wouldn’t happen to know of any places that have lots of barbershops do ya??🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Have a great one! Steve.
Amazing! We actually both saw Sammy Hagar there and Michael Anthony this year doing Best of All Worlds tour there as well! So good. Thx for watching Steve
Love your mall vlogs so much, never stop making these :3
Thank you! Glad you likey.

I love these glimpses into how Americans live, and I ❤ the 80s/90s vibes.

It was Montgomery Wards years ago. Burlington has been there ever since. Burlington floor was huge but they down sized the actual floor.
The Mall Docs location used to be an arcade up until the early 2000's.
Very unique!
Gracias
If you come to El Paso and wanna do a mall vlog hmu!

Your Arthur profile picture is awesome. 👏
I remember when they had a chick fil a back in the early 2000s
Now thats where Mervyn's used to be.
haven't been there in 20 years
We got you covered.
I have been there few times only to Dillard's only, never went inside😅
That Dillard’s is something special.
ToyBiz, I believe, used to be KB Toys.
Nope, KBs was closer to where K-Momo is at (if K-Momo is still there)
A Lazer tag was actually there
No way, really??? 😂
That mall looks so tacky. It's stuck in time in the wrong way lol.
Burlington was the old Mervyns. Sears was by the food court. Dillard's was always dillards
No, Mervyn's was closer to where Sears was. It's now the Mercado...the swap meet area
Omg they have valentina salsa for their popcorn, thats awesome
Si!!! Badass
So many people died in this mall & still open
Desert Die Mall
Crazy to think about. Sad stuff. Guess they can’t just close the mall up obviously, but definitely tragic and changes things.
