Just installed my 74 bulb today in my 2007 Camry SE V6. Easy Peasy plug n play. Looks bright and great.

Thx for the help. My Australian '07 Camry is nearly a mirror image so knowing how to start by just pulling the side of the console off helped to get me going. The green hood over the bulb came apart So the new bulb doesn't have one, I tried a green highlighter texta which will have to do i guess glass paint would work but i don't have any. Hey I was trying to pull the light out with a tweezer and the tweezer touch the metal part inside the housing, so it sorted out other lights such as A/C light, radio light, hazard etc on the dashboad. How to fix, is that a fuse somewhere or I fucked up big time??????????

If you were like me, I had trouble too. I took a flat head screwdriver and guided my bulb into the socket. If you want, you can sand a lil bit of the side off to get it to fit. Just be careful not to sand off the contact of the bulb. Hope that works.
The 74 Bulb worked for my 2007 Camry.
At first I thought it was the wrong size or that I bought faulty bulbs. It took a bit to realize I didn't seat the bulb in properly, I had to push it in all the way.
However when I replaced the bulb, I noticed that it doesn't do a good job at illuminating all the letters! The letters at the front are so dark you can barely even see them. The letters nearest to the bulb barely light up.
What should I do?
@beanburritojon Those wires are to plug in any device that has a headphone jack. It's called an aux (auxillary) cable. You can buy it at your local electronics store.
This video shows the basic process of getting to that specific area. To replace that bulb, pull it the opposite direction of the bulb base. To install it, you do the reverse and put the bulb into the base itself.
Your video was wonderful. I was able to change this bulb on my 2009 Camry LE. Could you provide a link to the LED bulb part # you installed? Thanks.

I have difficulty in moving from P to R position. R to P is fine.

That 's great video, by any chance do you have video change shifter light for sienna 2008?. My shifter light is OK before I brought he car to the Dixie dealer, Mississauga for shifter recall, then after that the shifter light was not on any more . I told them but they said they did not touch it and it already not working before and they ask for $50 to replace the light bulb
Is there another light around the radio and the AC? My lights went off around that area.
do you know what that thing called above the "P" on the shifter; the little tab with a "dash" slit? I lost mine when vacuuming, it sucked it out and wanted to get a replacement for it.

I pulled very hard on the side panels and they don't budge. I even used a hammer and block of wood on the sides of the panel still won't budge, any suggestions? Thanks

I bought a 74 bulb from superbrights and it has three diodes but the wires are opposite most bulbs, even other bulbs size 74 on the SB site. Why? The bulb in your video look the same but it works?
