Yep it is such a mixed bag. The ship is beautiful and well made. But it makes so many older ships look painfully out of date. Edit: And realizing how much more work they have ahead of them to gold pass those ships plus the large concept backlog.
Yep! With how much CIG was able to fit into such a small form factor compared to the Constellation, it really makes you realize how much wasted space there is in the Constellation, particularly in the bridge section.
That said misc freelancer, connie, starfarer are in need of a rework and cig allready aknowledge it. Cutlass had his some time ago and got sooo much better. 600i felt less urgent but it is coming too. Can’t wait for those.
In my opinion, the Zeus is one of the - if not the - best made ships in the entire game so far. Not only that it's damn beautiful but also how it was built in the inside... Logical, no waste of space, the MFDs are placed senseful in front of the struts, so they don't block the sight, the ladder down in the front, the storage, the landing lights... I could go on but you get the point. So damn well done, CIG, great job!!!
Well, I get what You are saying, however, the airlock ladder, or entire room is not as good as is should. Same goes for cargo bay, the C1 has ramp, and doors, which work as airlock. ZEUS dont. I still like it, and have the MR, hope it will be out soon :D
Yeah I love the design, I only have issue with Zeus ES - the living quarters should be much better compared to CL... but no, you get a bench and that's it (and a bit more kitchen space)... I find that underwhelming, almost makes me lose my interest in getting the ES variant (roleplaying reasons). I just can't imagine a long range expedition in it - it at least should have had a sofa and table in the living habitat, for a crew to sit around on a long quantum jump :D
2 things: 1, they have already fixed the seat priority to leave the control in the pilots hands at all times if the seat is in use. Not manual control, but better than random priority. And 2, the CL only has 3 shield Generators. The ES is the only variant with 4.
Was just about to comment regarding the shield generators, this was the only reason I went with the ES versus the CL. The extra living space is meaningless to me (except for the extra weapons locker).
Yeah but have they fixed the maneuverability problem where it will lose a 1v1 fight to nearly every single ship (including non combat ships like the vulture)?
@aniceguyinablackhat what about my comment made you think it had something to do with the handling? Like.... I don't disagree, the manuverability is mid at best, but is there a need to start shit with me over it when I didn't bring it up? Also, don't solo the multicrew ship. Simple as.
Oooh, goody! A new "An Architect Reviews". I've been waiting for a new one. In fact, I like them so much, I'd love to see you go through all sorts of scifi franchises and do those as well.
This is why the Phoenix is my favorite ship. I love the idea of being a guest and just hanging out in the back. Being able to see outside the ship is by far my favorite feature of a ship.
i love my 400i because it feels more like a flying appartment. feels like home. i know it does not add anything to the gameplay but i can't help it ! glad to see im not the only one. When i need to spawn a quick ship like a shuttle, i use the mustang Beta.
Still hoping that with the Phoenix they also redesign the front section as the transition is just way too glaring imo. So I'm really hoping they could make some luxury panelling for the front so you get the same colors and style. Also, the garage definitely needs some love too because it looked like a dark cave when I explored it back in the day.
@@DanakarEndeel That's a lot of people's hope. The crew area, flight deck, and forward canopy need a serious rework on all the Connie variants. Well other than the rounded canopy of the Aquila. Could use fewer struts still. And god yes, the Lighting in the cargo bay area. So dark and gloomy.
@@SternLX Yeah, and this may sound 'low hanging fruit' but I also sincerely hope that CIG will change the VIP section slightly to add a small bathroom to the VIP section because it makes no sense that any VIPs have to walk out of the luxury area in order to use the crew toilet because there's no toilet for them to use in the VIP section (except do it the jacuzi). :P I'm also wondering why there aren't any extra escape pods for the VIPs.
The colder looking white bedroom lighting you mentioned at 12:34 can actually be changed to a soft yellow by the control panel by most of the doors. Theres also options to turn off the bunk lights within the bunk beds. I think there's also red emergency lights you can toggle too.
These videos are honestly the best possible advertisements for star citizen as a whole, but also well crafted videos in their own right. Keep up the good work!
The Zeus mk2 will probably be my new favorite ship, simply because the area behind the cockpit is so well thought out. The ladder and airlock are right behind the flight deck entrance and there are suit lockers and a weapons rack right next to it.
I love RSI design language. Sleek, angular and sharp, without having any edge lord vibe that most other sharp designs have in other games. RSI basically has all the best parts of Aegis, Drake and Crusader. Aegis sturdiness and functionality. Drake utility and practicality. Crusader sleekness and elegance. With the exception of the conny (i hate the shape of the conny front half), RSI has probably my favorite design language
Well, in case of the Conny you can see, that it is one of the oldest ships in the game. CIG has learned a lot since then. Maybe they will find the time one day for a complete rework of ships like Constellation, Freelancer, Starfarer and other old ships.
just a couple of edits Morph: the CL has 3 shield generators, the ES has 4. Also the CL has a size 2 radar and the ES has a size 3, which does make a fairly significant difference in when you see things vs. things seeing you. :D
I already bought a Zeus ES. Also, I don't know if anyone noticed, but the bunks are also escape pods. If you look at the underside of the Zeus, you'll see two hatches labelled "escape pod." There are right under the bunks. I didn't see a way to seal the bunks, so I'm guessing that CIG will still need to work on the Zeus when escape pods become a thing.
My fav ship right now. Even recreated and made an epic Trailer for it in KSP. A few things I would change are: Add a window in the hab. Bigger Table in the kitchen for the ES. And the Pilot side ounted on the bottom, so the obstruction over the head isn't there.
See, this is the perfect comparison vehicle. You cut from one to the other in each space so that I can see them back to back. This gives me an excellent idea of what the actual differences are. This is my go to channel for my comparisons and I would like to say thank you very much for the outstanding work and production values.
So cool to hear you make a nod towards the heat resistant tiles. My grandfather helped design those when he worked at Boeing. Such a special little detail, and I'm so happy it caught your eye.
I pledged for the ES at last year's Citizen Con. I weighed the ES or the CL and decided I didn't need the extra cargo of the CL because I have a LTI Concept Hull B that I'm waiting for. Anyway, I popped into the PTU yesterday and walked around and looked at my ES. I haven't had the time to take it out yet, but just walking around it I was reminded of another ship: the Aegis Dynamics Avenger Titan, which I also have. The Zeus Mk2 ES is like a multi-crew version of the Avenger Titan. A cockpit, living quarters, and a cargo bay that isn't very big but seems just right anyway.
I see the release of this beautiful ship while driving around in my dump truck Freelancer, wondering when it and my other antiques are going to get their much-needed upgrades. My favorite ships seem to be the underdogs, I've found. The Avenger Titan is my favorite, even if it's just a starter ship with little to offer in the massive system. My Ion is a train wreck, but it's so pretty, I have to fly it just 'cause. My Freelancer is an ancient hunk of metal that's falling apart and I wouldn't trade it for anything. And my Vanguard Warden looks like an old retired bodybuilder that used to grace the pages of Men's Fitness, but has lost his time in the spotlight and now resorts to odd infomercials. They're nothing special, but they're mine. One day I hope to see the love many of these newer ships have upon release, given to them so they may have a just a minute more of their old glory.
your narration is very pleasing my guy. I’d put it up there with David Attenborough, not because of eloquence of speech, but by the intelligence in it and detail you go into
It's pretty and well designed but I can't get over it that the airlock vents the whole compartment instead of being a seperate area with two doors like in the RAFT (which has still, in my opinion, the best designed and most realistic interior layout of all the smaller ships).
A good review and glad I picked up the whole Zeus line. My only critique is instead of a ladder I would have lifted and taken the Connie's front personnel elevator for two and put in up there instead. Have it in the hallway so I could use it to bring up spare/replacement components as well as crew. Then in the spot by the ladder I would have put a chair and engineering console. Sure it could be done from the front seat too, but if you have a guest or just want the engineer next to the components (and fire extinguisher) it would be handy to have them a touch closer.
The Zeus mk2 feels like what a proper starter should be. Nice entry/exit, two guns, classic simple shape, has a few rooms so you can enjoy an interior, bed for ship logging, can take a few other people along either sitting, but having actual options for them to theoretically do mechanics, alright cargo capacity so you can see how it works but not huge, one smaller turret.
The problem with the Zeus CL is the awkward cargo bay. It actually has 3 cargo grids, the main one that is 3 high 5 wide and 8 long, and 2 on the sides that are 2 high 1 wide and 2 long. Because of the odd numbers you are looking at a lot of small 2 scu boxes. The ceiling is very close to the top of the grid making stacking more difficult. The narrow ramp means you have to stack the sides first, and it limits the vehicles you can load to ROC or smaller. When full of cargo the ramp cannot be used as an exit point since the cargo, completely blocks it off, meaning you have to exit the ship to unload manually. Finally the tractor beam arm needs to be adjusted to pull boxes in closer. There tends to be a lot of banging into the ship with cargo to get it through the opening and into proper position. And because you are dealing with a lot of small boxes, loading can be a chore. The cargo deck is the one thing that lets down the design, especially when you have the Freelancer Max with its wide open cargo ramp that can fit an Ursa.
Thinking through how you will load your ship is a feature. You will also have to take into consideration the weight distribution of your cargo as it will affect flight just like in real life.
I love when your reviews come out! I finally got to test fly it, and it's definitely built with a lot of detail. I almost felt like you had a hand in its design, solidifying many of the principles you've advocated for over the years. They absolutely need to implement this in other ships to balance out the fleet, sooner rather than later. I have the ES currently, I feel it’ll be a great ship to solo pilot and will go along nicely with the other ships in my hangar. o7
YES! we need ships to make better use of their volume! No more endless hallways with little space for actual rooms and no more just straight up empty space when comparing the ships floorplan to it's hull! The javelin could be half its current size! I was so dissapointed walking through that thing.
I picked up the CL because it fits mt style. A couple points to note is that the bench seats all only seat 2 people. You can also close the airlock while just outside the door and there is a great hiding spot!
9:05 those upwards spreading "ribs" derive straight from the RSI Galaxy, that design element was described by one of the devs in the Galaxy showcase video. Makes me excited as a Galaxy owner even tho it might be a whiles away
Now this is a nice ship! I hope CIG will revisit and rework some older ships (like the Freelancer or the Constellation) to get them up to this new standard. The Zeus MK2 seems like a very well planned ship and I like what I see there. Heh can't say that I wasn't sitting here all day checking if you would make a video about it. Always a pleasure to have a deep dive into the new ships, so thanks a lot for this video, keep it up mate!
Picked up this ship for me and my brother to roam around in and it’s been a blast. He’s loving the turret. Also have more than enough storage space for small vehicles plus cargo.
it is always stunning to see how CIG improves on the craft of making these ships the actual functionality of them with every little detail which in a lesser game would just be pointless detailing more times then not are actual things that do something. like the missile door opening and closing the side hatch opening up the thrusters (something they have been doing for a while but they are actually logically placed) landing gear doors, counter measure doors, fueling doors, hatches inside for guns and storage and components... like it just feels like so much is thought out in a way that makes these vehicles feel so much more real then vehicles in other games. TRUELY impressive gotta say
The only thing I hate is that the CL, a cargo ship, fits 128 SCU but not in the form of 4 32 SCU containers. No shipping company would want to use this logistical nightmare. Which makes me wish even more, CIG would give the C1 an additional entrance and let it store a third container in the center of the cargo hold for a total of 96 SCU. Then the two ships would be really interesting competitors: do you want a third more cargo capacity or faster loading/unloading? Remember: a cargo hauler only makes money while its moving!
I love this ships interior. It fixes almost every problem I had with the Freelancer Dur. Okay, it has one less spot for a crew mate, but atleast the crew has an actual living area. Copilot ship control is awesome!
I’m a fan of multiple entrances and the general layout of the ship. From an fps perspective, you get seamless access from the inside to the outside world and visa versa. You can easily jump down or get on the roof from the docking port. All this while staying low profile and compact. What a good use of space.
I picked up a Marquis (MR) variant back during the concept sale and I'm happy I did - an exemplary display of how far the ship development team has come
On the parts behind transparent materials, I would be willing to argue that it's more than just an embellishment, the configuration allows you to potentially see problems between check cycles and before the onboard system might detect a fault. For instance: A clear view of the fuel tank would allow you to see leakages dripping if it's for fluid, or condensation if it's something cryogenic. Hydraulics you can see the leaking fluids. The clear missile feeds are so you can identify jams and errors quickly, some issues you could simply reverse the feed and retry or yank out a damaged missile, but other cases doing so would be dangerous, being able to look down and potentially identify an easy fix instantly is EXTREMELY useful in a fight. Thinking about it two of those systems (fuel and hydraulics) function primarily through variable pressures that trend toward the higher end while in use, meaning visual inspections of them running could be extremely dangerous without the coverage if there was damage.
Great to see another Architect Reviews video on such a solid design. Regarding the ES habitation areas, I saw another video that mentioned the bunks are also designed as Escape pods (with visible blow off panels on the exterior) - for whenever that long awaited feature to materialize. So this may have impacted on the placement issue you had issue with. My thought on that couch, besides being overly stiff, is that it faces nothing - as usual for CIG. Needs a big screen or holographic projector for a reason to actually sit there.
Few mistakes... 1. CL have 3 shields, not 4, that only the ES have. 2. the price of concept was already 150$, so looking at the SPIRIT price increase and the SRV upon release i would expect at least 170$ for the ES/CL prices. 3. the 3 months period to become available ingame is kinda hit and miss, some ships took almost a year to get released to purchase ingame, like the Vulture and Lynx recently. Id expect at least 2 MAJOR patchs as a proper expectation to have it ingame. One noticeable thing, you cant enter with the CL loaded from the back ramp, its completely FULL of boxes, also you cant work on components in the cargo bay while loaded. I personally find the C1 to be a better solo ship for now, less components, straight up corridor, full firepower on the hands of the pilot, exchangable missile rack sizes from 2xS4 up to 16xS1 missiles. Both ROC capable, none Ursa capable. IDK, Zeus is cool, not convinced of the hype yet. Sure the ladder and docking port are very useful... Crusader hates entrances/exits as it seems.
It really does put in stark contrast the older ships that need a complete overhaul, or perhaps even a new concept and rebuild. What is somewhat depressing is that there are so many ships in that category so the timeframe is measured in years.
Thanks Morph. A few things... the ES comes with more shields and a larger radar. CL comes with 3x size 2 shields and ES with 4x size 2 shields and one large (size 3) radar.
You always do a good job. I literally wait for your ship reviews!! thank you for taking the time to do them. I always use your videos to help new team mates make choices on what ship will suit them. thanks again!
Great video Morph, really looking forward to see how this refinement makes its way in to the larger ships, especially those with additional mechanics like the Pioneer.
Thanks for the video! 👍 As expected it is the best video out there about this ship. I bought the CL, when it was announced and think, I made a good purchase. My only criticism is the layout of the cargo space. I had hoped for a version similar to the C1, just 4 x 32 SCU instead of 2 × 32 SCU. That would have made for fast loading/unloading, an important feature for a cargo ship. Instead we got a very mixed layout, where you need a lot of different container sizes to utilize the cargo space to it's maximum capacity. Apart from that it is the best designed ship in the game.
Hey morph, long time sub here and just thought i might give a little feedback on this one. I just checked back to a few of your reviews to see what the difference was but idk it felt like this video took a little long to get into the meat and potatoes. I could 1000% be wrong but I imagine most people are more interested in the interior than the exterior so to see that the first half of the video barely even peeked at the interior it made the flow seem off. It seems like in the past it used to start with what felt like a literal tour of the ship and for reasons I can't exactly quantify I didn't really get that same feeling of a premium ship tour that I used to feel within 1-2mins in of your older ship tours. This could definitely just be me maybe getting used to the format but i thought id mention it. Love the content morph, keep it up!
Hopefully, we won't need to worry about whether we can see hangar doors, once they create a landing/take off display. Now we need that Connie interior rework even more than we did before.
I like the fire extinguishers next to the doors as opposed to next to components they may need to be used on. Mainly because placing them next to doors let's you access them between two spaces they may need to be used in, not to mention that putting them next to components means you'll be exposed to the fire in order to retrieve the extinguisher. That said, I'd also like to see compartmentalized decompression for components that are stored behind access panels. Having built in fire suppression and extinguishing features is a no brainer.
One thing I noticed was that when the Zeus gets damaged the sinks run and fill up. I lawn darted into Hurston at full speed and amazingly the ship survived but did take damage. When I walked around it to check out and damage effects I noticed both the kitchen and bathroom sinks running with water in them.
Picked up an MR last year with LTI when they were announced seeing a tour of the ship really has me stoked now, just a beautiful ship all around. I don't really understand why the MR is the only variant with the extra turret though, I feel like having the 2 turrets to give each co pilot something to do during combat for all 3 would help give the ship some more survivability. I feel that wouldn't be too hard of an ask considering all 3 variants still have enough going for them that it wouldn't detract from the MR.
will you ever do an architect reviews for larger capital ships whenever they come out? would really love to see like an hour long review on a polaris or idris :)
Yessss architect reviews is out!! Im like a kid on Christmas. Ive learnt a lot in this series about architecture and now see random buildings around me with new eyes. Also, please consider dong episodes for other games like you did with cyberpunk 2077 (maybe locations in star wars outlaws or even in some shows and movies) while you wait for a new sc ship to be released,
Ignored all Zeus video till now because I know this one will be the best. Thank you for this great review. Now I'm looking even more forward to the next update. ❤
the dark grey, matte white and blue accents has been my go to colorscheme in all games ever since the Warframe Beta, so this ship is really speaking to me.
i really do like the white grey and blue look. This whole thing screams “functional but refined” like a consummate professional’s higher end machine that doesn’t cross into the territory of a luxury toy. clean but frank and not overdone. something deliberate and optimistic about it. for someone who knows what they are doing and do it well.
I've lost pretty much all confidence in seeing many of my ships actually release BUT, I still like watching architect reviews of the ships :) Keep up the good work, hopefully your channel pushes them towards a viable real product in the future.
Great video and ship .This will certainly become my daily driver now after enjoying the C1 for half a year (which I already planned to do right when I bought the C1, anyways). The extra ladder and door alone make this an easy choice for me. Although this surely doesnt have the possibility of increasing its cargo amount like on the C1, where it can be greatly increased by cramming crates into the walkway in the cargo area. Well, doesnt really matter either, since the CL already holds more than the C1 while still being able to enter and exit the ship, too. :D
I really hope the revisit the C1 spirit and Connie line after this, this thing pokes a huge hole in those ships usefulness (especially the c1 having one entrance)
Looking very nice inside! But totally agree on the not so cozy living quarters, what's the deal, some posters, some plants, some anything. :) Great review as always!
19:00 I wonder if the bottom turret is because for the most part, both ships might need to clear a landing space from hostiles; the CL is making a delivery, and the ES is flying over a planet. The ships are not meant for space combat; maybe the MR should get a top turret instead.
HI Morph. Love your videos. Relating things within the game back to a discipline in real life only serves to add to the immersion of the game and your videos do this in spades for ship design. So thank you. I totally agree with you about the craft improving as the project moves forward but I think the Zeus has made a sudden and abnormally large leap forward. This ship is incredibly compact for what she is which leads me to wonder if a recent decision in something affecting components (how many and how big) has yielded much more precise metrics which design can now fully take advantage of (instead of having to leave room for all the *what ifs*). Oh, and the Zeus is perfect for a medium hangar in my opinion but that's only because I like to put her down at one end with the ladder right next to the ASOP / item bank area and the ramp extending down to the threshold of the freight elevator. Strangely, I can stick this landing nearly every time in first person because something else I noticed, and I definitely can't say this for the Mercury or the Constellation, is that the size ***feels*** right ... in the sense of knowing where the extremities of the ship are located relative to the pilot's frame of reference. Maybe this is just me but the Zeus is one of the few Star Citizen ships that don't look smaller than she is; and that makes flying her in tight quarters much more enjoyable. I particularly look forward to seeing your video about the Galaxy and the Expanse when they come out. 👍🍻
For a ship so well thought through it's a shame the loading and unloading in the cargo variant didn't receive that foresight. Sure you got access to 128 scu of space but what good is that if you can't easily accessing it.
I am probably going to upgrade my C1 to a CL. Because 1) It has a front ladder. 2) Better cockpit view. 3) more cargo capacity. 4) Smaller wingspan; it just seems like the C1 is a bigger ship but has less cargo capacity than a Freelancer Base.
Every time they improve I shudder to think of the tech debt they create. The Spirit is one of my favourites, but this looks like a more polished ship of that class. Awesome video!
This one feels like a motor yacht with a nice size aft toy garage. The flight deck feels like a Wallypower 72, or even a 118 a bit. CIG should consider a collab with some of the more modern builders (Cranchi, Beneteau, Wally, Azimut). Actually I would love to see a ship like the Azimut Magellano 30m in game, restyled as a space going vessel. The luxury variant could be pirate kibble, but the interiors are well laid out for long hauls and large crew for exploration.
Rocking an ES! I think the Zeus is the most balanced and best ship in the game right now, especially for a solo. The only thing it can;'t do well is fight. It can however run VERY well which is what I do, so well said there. Upgraded form a FreeMax as if 1.0 turns out to be half of what they showed Odd jobs to fund exploration is my loop. Oustanding video sir!
Man, this makes it painfully obvious how badly the Connie series needs a redesign. Can't wait for my Perseus...
If they make the old ships as good as the new ones, they might hurt new sales.... Chris demands MOAR

The only reason I wanted the Zeus to come out is because I knew you would make a new "Architect reviews" on it.
I haven't click on a video so fast, this is the only reason CIG should release MOAR ships
this is music to my ears
I second this!
Morph's architect reviews are what got me into Star Citizen initially.
When will it go on sale again? 😢
Well, I get what You are saying, however, the airlock ladder, or entire room is not as good as is should.
Same goes for cargo bay, the C1 has ramp, and doors, which work as airlock. ZEUS dont.
I still like it, and have the MR, hope it will be out soon :D
i feel like each new ship will be "one of the best designed ships in the game" which is a good thing it shows that CIG is always improving
Yeah I love the design, I only have issue with Zeus ES - the living quarters should be much better compared to CL... but no, you get a bench and that's it (and a bit more kitchen space)... I find that underwhelming, almost makes me lose my interest in getting the ES variant (roleplaying reasons).

They should have put the ladder outside of the airlock and use the space of the ladder inside for something else
I completely agree!
2 things:
1, they have already fixed the seat priority to leave the control in the pilots hands at all times if the seat is in use. Not manual control, but better than random priority.
And 2, the CL only has 3 shield Generators. The ES is the only variant with 4.
Good thing I looked for this comment before I replied.

RSI basically has all the best parts of Aegis, Drake and Crusader.
Aegis sturdiness and functionality.
Drake utility and practicality.
Crusader sleekness and elegance.
With the exception of the conny (i hate the shape of the conny front half), RSI has probably my favorite design language
Well, in case of the Conny you can see, that it is one of the oldest ships in the game. CIG has learned a lot since then. Maybe they will find the time one day for a complete rework of ships like Constellation, Freelancer, Starfarer and other old ships.
Also lore wise the connie as a platform is a few centuries old
that's not what sleek means i believe
just a couple of edits Morph: the CL has 3 shield generators, the ES has 4.
That’s not the first time they’ve done that. The freelancer variants have the same thing.
My fav ship right now. Even recreated and made an epic Trailer for it in KSP.
A few things I would change are: Add a window in the hab. Bigger Table in the kitchen for the ES. And the Pilot side ounted on the bottom, so the obstruction over the head isn't there.
20:00 the zeus cl has 3 size 2 shields, only the es has 4
Always nice to see AR’s from Morph
Ah yes a fellow space shuttle enjoyer
I'm so excited for this glorious beast!
She's almost in my hands ALMOST!!!!
Hoping, praying, begging. To see the Polaris review when it comes out
its the most anticipated upcoming capital... ya really think he would miss this chance?
It feels like a Nomad for more than one person.
and a bit less like living in a tent
Heh, thought the same thing. It feels like the natural upgrade from a nomad.
Yeah, I'm considering it @@fnunez
You should try filling the cargo grid to capacity in CL. It's horrendous like playing tetris in the back of your spaceship, but yes it does look cool.
Thinking through how you will load your ship is a feature. You will also have to take into consideration the weight distribution of your cargo as it will affect flight just like in real life.
@@ErikLiberty Yes i'm aware of this, But the zeus cl's cargo bay is just way to tight. I've already melted it 😜
I love when your reviews come out!

YES! we need ships to make better use of their volume! No more endless hallways with little space for actual rooms and no more just straight up empty space when comparing the ships floorplan to it's hull! The javelin could be half its current size! I was so dissapointed walking through that thing.
I would take all 3 bunks out and make a captains quarter, and change the cargo spot into a garage/armory .
This ship reminds me so much of the elite dangerous viper ships. Love this ship, hoping for more smooth edge ships soon though
so glad to see this kind of video again. For a second Zoos looked like a Carrack
it is always stunning to see how CIG improves on the craft of making these ships
the actual functionality of them with every little detail which in a lesser game would just be pointless detailing more times then not are actual things that do something.
like the missile door opening and closing
the side hatch opening up
the thrusters (something they have been doing for a while but they are actually logically placed)
landing gear doors, counter measure doors, fueling doors, hatches inside for guns and storage and components...
like it just feels like so much is thought out in a way that makes these vehicles feel so much more real then vehicles in other games.
Command: What's your status, Captain Saleno?
Saleno: I'm stuck in an elevator.
Absolutely love the level of detail you go into in your architect reviews!
The detail of this ship is incredible. It is clear that a hell of a lot of effort went into this, and it gives confidence in the future of the game.
Love these Architect review videos! The Zeus MkII CL has been on my radar since the first mention in concept. Can’t wait to finally fly it!
It really does put in stark contrast the older ships that need a complete overhaul, or perhaps even a new concept and rebuild. What is somewhat depressing is that there are so many ships in that category so the timeframe is measured in years.
Glad you back to the architect review series. It's been a long time since.
I love your videos, everything about them is great. Your thoughtful commentary is an instant click every time I see you post.
18:30 "My aircraft!" "Your aircraft!"
They looked over to another devs screen and said: " Bob, what ship is that." He said "It´s the Python, im playing ED."
This ship is getting me hyped for the galaxy love rsi design language
Thanks for the video! 👍
As expected it is the best video out there about this ship.
Amazing video as always! Love it, such high quality.
This is my favorite Star Citizen related series by far!
You pointed out a number of details I have not noticed. Thanks for a great review. o7!
Excited to see the design work on the new RSI ships to come full circle to the old ones on gs pass
You can change the lights in every room, living quarters get a nice warm lighting when you do
It's another Architect Reviews!!!! So excited! Time to throw this up on the big screen!
Picked mine up as soon as they presented it last year. Can't wait for the MR to come out hopefully next year.
I think the Banu Defender also allows for control from either seat. But it is neat to see that shared work coming to other ships!
I feel that wouldn't be too hard of an ask considering all 3 variants still have enough going for them that it wouldn't detract from the MR.
will you ever do an architect reviews for larger capital ships whenever they come out? would really love to see like an hour long review on a polaris or idris :)
really loved the viewable missile racks of the andromeda and the og retaliator. glad they're back and even better
yeah I always wanted morph to review this ship since when it revealed last year
the dark grey, matte white and blue accents has been my go to colorscheme in all games ever since the Warframe Beta, so this ship is really speaking to me.
The Zeus mkII is def the best designed ship CIG has EVER released.

i really do like the white grey and blue look.
This whole thing screams “functional but refined” like a consummate professional’s higher end machine that doesn’t cross into the territory of a luxury toy. clean but frank and not overdone. something deliberate and optimistic about it.
for someone who knows what they are doing and do it well.
I've lost pretty much all confidence in seeing many of my ships actually release
BUT, I still like watching architect reviews of the ships :)
Keep up the good work, hopefully your channel pushes them towards a viable real product in the future.
As usual, your cinematography is second to none!!!
The MR in concept does indeed have a second turret on top
Yellow hazard striping on royal blue looks so satisfying.
And he is back with the video we have all been waiting for!
Definitely been wanting for your review on this one. Been liking the lines but I agree on the excess greebling.
I wonder if we'll see a Connie refresh next year with how they've been focused on RSI ships.
For the cl i would have made the loading ramp larger it is difficult to load anything larger than an 8 scu box
Love the architect reviews series. The trade is fascinating. Keep it up.
