About the convoke and vortex, the CR says it means that you can "tap a creature of that colour *rather than* paying that mana", which means this doesn't count as spending mana to cast that spell.

Last week i endstep Enlightened Tutor, wanted to get Sol Ring, a friend tells me jokingly(but i didn't get the joke) to grab Mox Diamond, i agree thinking that if i grab it i can play Tymna on turn 2, he then immediately shuts up. I draw my mox, play it and he points at the Vexing Bauble which was played immediately before i played my Enlightened Tutor
I've seen a few people say this already, but just to reiterate: unlike chalice of the void, which only counters 0 cmc spells, vexing bauble counters ALL spells which didn't use mana to be cast. If gitaxian probe is cast but you didn't spend blue, it will be countered.
A case for convoke not counting as paying mana: Hogaak has Convoke, and says you can't spend mana to cast this spell. Vortex would trigger off a fully convoked spell by broodlord. Also can Cam continue to describe the spooky flavor of each commander in the opening intros?
idk if its been said. but convoke is not paying for the spell. it is removing the cost of the spell by what was convoked, not paying the cost as mana, so you did have it right the first time it came up on the channel .
So happy to see Dylan playing K'rrik. It is a super fun and powerful (even though it got trimmered with the bans). I'm not sure if it is viable, but maybe bring some people that play more of the deck to talk about it would be great too! Fonzie, Kentrell or Peter would be great coaches for K'rrik great video!
The synchronization at the beginning was masterful and the Ob Nix piloting was masterful too. I don't have a Rakdos deck. It might be time to change that . . .
In pilotin that list from k’rrik and it can be very hard to know when to cast what, but if you dont win by turn 2-4 the deck runs out of gas very quickly
I've been very interested in Ob lately, always good to see in action to keep thinking about it. Not a huge deal, but there might be some mismatch between the decks linked and what you played, since the list does not include Walking Ballista 🤷♂
I tried K’rrik recently and rarely did it win, losing crypt and lotus hurt it too much, I think the conversion rate is around 7%. Not to mention monoblack has so few ways to disrupt wins these days.
instead of Ob, what are your thoughts on Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls, The lord of pain in CEDH? Valgavoth seems similar but the lord of pain might be a bit slow?
I just pulled a jeweled lotus from a pack that came with a commander deck I got at Costco for $27. Immediately annoyed that the big pull from the pack is worthless and I can't even really trade it for something I can use.
As a Son of Yawgmoth player i understand where you were going doing Sacrifice but i feel that was your play mistake. If it means anything, your version of the deck is vastly superior to whatever garbage The Spike Feeders play. FYI, i don't run any of the reserved list cards in my deck. i have two versions, i feel the Doomsday version is more competitive though i need to update the other one as i just got a Torment of Hailfire for it. You'd be really surprised at some of the card choices i did though i've not done any updates to it since the ban yet. i'd be interested to see if either of my builds could inspire however, i understand you'd be very unlikely to examine my stuff because i'm not a patreon. And let me just say, i've wanted to be but i really enjoy playing with friends as well... And my friends have stopped playing MTG entirely. i've considered "packing it up" as well, especially with this recent announcement that removes interaction after attackers are declared.
