This UA-cam Channel is the by-product of extensive research on how to recreate that environment inside my home.
By no means do I consider myself an expert but I'm an avid learner and willing to share the little I know with others. There are thousands of different ways to care for orchids, and the more we share, the more we learn.
What started out as a hobby has now grown into a passion, producing an online resource of quality information on how to connect with nature.
If you'd like to see the uncommon story of my life and how I ended up overseas in the first place, check out my memoir on Amazon, Shattered Sanctuary.

Also, I just released my new orchid book, Orchid Journey. You can find it on Amazon by clicking here: amzn.to/3fZKX7J . Orchid Journey Notebook is amzn.to/3lbhJUJ (The one I showed in this video).

thank you for your work!
Such *great* points I didn’t see in any other video. Thank you so much for helping in my orchid mounting journey! I immediately subscribed!
Great video!
Your terrarium setups is so “jungle-ly” 😍. This video out on time for me, as I planned to do more mounts and understand more details about mounting. Especially how to prepare the medium mounts itself, like how to prep the mount medium we freshly take from outside. Regarding the algorithm, Personally I love long videos, even if the subject topic is minor things about orchids, with useful content. Cuz when I do something or anything with my orchids, watching and listening while I do the works is boost the vibe and we fix any issues that we encounter with the orchids. Furthermore, orchid lovers are all around the world, with different regions, specific infos and care guides may require to different climates.
Hi Jimmy, Thank you for that comment. I appreciate it! I totally forgot to mention in the video how to prepare the wood, so I'm going to make another video about that later. About the youtube algorithm, sad but true... I also like to watch longer videos if they are good but for some reason, 8 to 12 minutes is what they recommend. Since I'm still a new channel, (under 1 yr) I'm following their leads and still learning. I have a long way to go yet, so all feedback is great. 😊 Thank you for your ideas and your comment.
@@Orchideria It is true on the algorithm to gain audience and pop out in UA-cam wall & search. Its just me 😅 and maybe few peps that committed with their orchids well-being.
Yah, I agree with you and totally understand!! One day I'll try a "webinar" and make a longer video. 😀
Interesting!! So far, the only orchids I have attached to my mango trees are a few Vanda Miss Joaquim strands - which are yet to bloom. About three of them are of "age" to bloom (they are over 48 inches tall), but I have no idea of their bloom season, yet! I attached them to the trees using Tea Cup Hooks. They caught on, and are growing good. I have been toying with the idea of fastening a phal on one of the mango trees - but the tree is old, and its bark keeps falling off in patches. So, I have nixed that.
I like the idea of attaching the orchid to an individual tree branch, then attaching that branch to the tree!! (the one you did for your terrarium). As usual, you are my inspiration, mentor, and I love your tutorials, and I save those which can be of benefit to me.
Hi Lyn! Oh my... :) :) I have no words. I need to be the one thanking you. You've been watching my videos since the very beginning. I appreciate it! I like the idea of a separate log because if something goes wrong, I can take that log out instead of ripping apart the entire setup.
What about a Maximillian coconut orchid does it prefer some sun?
😊👍
Hi Valerie, Thanks for leaving a comment. :)
