1- you don’t see many other jedi or Sith being able to take on multiple opponents and to survive if not win. 2- Surviving and sustaining yourself through anger is quite impressive and not even remotely easy to achieve. 3- While his potential was never as great as others his skill and abilities that he did work on and hone were top tier and unless surprised- always put up a fight making his opponents work for everything. 4- For a short while he became the emperor and only lost it when multiple opponents banded against him. 5- Hes still not dead yet. 6- He was recognized by many. 7- He was a warrior breed for combat and had some tactical ability but that was never explained in depth to my knowledge- so he had some ability to lead even if it was by fear and strength.
One thing about Malgus aside from his obvious warrior/brute style of combat, is that he was also an excellent manipulator and "people person". He was patient and cunning when dealing with politics and diplomacy....but became ruthless and explosive when the time came for execution. He was the Jekyl and Hyde of the Sith....and it earned him the respect and fear of those who knew him.

Dude is strong enough that members of the dark council don't want to fuck with him. Also, it bothers me that no one mentions him achieving oneness. He is, thus far, the only sith that is confirmed to have achieved perfect unity with the dark side. This man might actually be harder to kill than Sion at this point and all that rage and anger is entirely self inflicted. He murdered his wife because she held him back from truly embracing the dark side, robbing himself of his only real happiness. Dude is beyond fascinating and terrifying.
Not entirely self inflicted. After all, it was the politics of his "peers" in the Empire and the decisions of the Emperor that drove him to break from the Empire. The scene at the end of the book when he goes after Lord Adraas feels like justice after that earlier scene where he talks shit and acts like he's better than Malgus cuz he knows how to asskiss 😂
Darth Malgus is definitely one of my favorite characters in all of the lore. Deceived is just a fantastic novel and the Old Republic intro cutscenes are amazing. Sidious later praising him and trying to mentor Vader thru his story just made him even cooler.
Nath4nie1 Cru2 even though he was covered under rocks, after he woke up he was pissed, thier we’re still two Jedi around him, he killed them both, and he wasn’t injured that badly so he didn’t really need anything, except I think his lungs were injured so, he could breathe normally but he would run out of breathe quickly so he has a me mechanical inhaler to boost his breathing it also helps him fatigue less cause his intaking more less
I really enjoyed his charismatic speeches. It really shows that he’s more then just a warrior but also a intellectual!!! What a fantastic activist, who actually stead up for equality between humans and other alien species. Malgus definitely was one of the great leaders during that particular time
I like Darth Malgus I really like his character Arc but I really wish they would do more of a character Arc for tulak hord he's my most favorite Sith and I just wish there was more about him or at least a book or novel about him it would just be nice to know that we have something of him instead of fables and legends

Dude can pull cruisers down from the sky, slaughter Jedi Enclaves with his dashade companion for hours on end and conquer entire star systems for the Sith while all at the same time holding the rank of Dark Lord and being fond in both swordsmanship and the arcane powers of the dark side ! Honestly I think because of his force lightning and maelstrom he could probably best Vader in combat. But that's because Sidious made Vader's suit weak to force lightning. Taking direct damage force attacks out of the equation though, I put my money on Vader. Vader would, in my opinion, over power Malgus in brute strength with the lightsaber.
Remember Darth Malgus survived a mountain falling on him. Malgus has cut a saber in half. Vader has not. Vader is great at combat and one of my favorite characters. Both get angry as they fight. I believe it would be a great battle. But i believe in experience it would go to Malgus. Because on his own he is as big as Vader is without cybernetic enhancements.

It would be a fantastic fight, for sure. Vader may not have had a mountain fall on him, but he did survive being engulfed in a river of lava on Mustafar when the natives attacked him at his castle. Which is an insanely impressive feat in its own right. And even though he'd lost all of his limbs fighting Obi Wan and was only at 80% max power, Vader's max power before his injuries was technically unlimited. He could have unquestionably overwhelmed even Sidious had he not been so badly wounded and had enough time to truly train and build up his experience. Even at 80%, Vader was still insanely powerful. You have to remember Sidious still found an extremely wounded and damaged Vader to be enough of a threat to build a weakness directly into his suit as a last resort insurance policy. And even with that weakness and Vader being directly nuked by Sidious' force lightning, he still couldn't kill Vader fast enough to not be killed by Vader. That too is actually a quite impressive feat. I don't believe anyone has ever powered through a full on force lightning attack by Sidious, that was actually meant to kill. And finally, this may seem minor, but is worth mentioning, Vader only had one hand and Sidious could not escape his grasp. Vader is a straight up monster. I would still absolutely love to see Malgus and Vader duel. It'd be a clash of the titans to be remembered for the ages.
@@spinelessmoderate8715 that is very true. We could go on and on about both character's feats and capabilities. In the end they both are warriors that single handedly attacked the jedi temples. But Malgus fought the GrandMaster at the time instead of going after the younglings. So possibly Vader feared Yoda even though he wasnt there. Never went to find Yoda. He didnt kill Mace Windu either. But Malgus killed almost every Jedi he faced.
I think a few things are incorrect here. First, kao cen darach was a notable kill, and a Jedi battle master; however, Ven Zallow was the next Jedi battle master after kao. He was considered the best the Jedi had to offer, and darth malgus thought Ven was one of the best fighters he ever fought. Malgus gave Ven way more respect than he did kao. Next, darth malgus’ force lightning was extremely powerful, he killed three Jedi with a single blast of it. He also had such control over it, that he was able to combo it with high level telekineses, strong enough to move the very air around him into a cyclone, while levitating and throwing objects (known as force maelstrom). His power in the force is severely underrated. Other notable force techniques known to him, but not mentioned or underrated are; force wave, force explosion, and he was able to both hide his own presence in the force, along with being able to sense hidden presence’s of others. He was resistant to force lightning. His physical force augments where also next level, and often woven in, or combined with the other combative force techniques at his disposal. He multitasked force abilities, Last, you speak of his tunnel vision, I never read anything or seen anything that signified this. He is always very focused and aware when he is in combat. This is especially so, after he kills Elena daru, then he describes himself as “residing within the calm eye of a storm of hatred”. He has never been defeated in a one on one fight and is known for beating both Jedi knight or master, at the same time as their Jedi apprentices... How does he suffer from tunnel vision? When he has been defeated, its by multiple opponents and it takes a lot. He is most definitely the most powerful of his time, only second, maybe, to vitiate/valkorian. If it’s fighting he is unbeatable, it would take vapaad at the very least to do so.

@@HarryG98 It would cost a lot, but I don't think too much to be possible. If done right it would be much better than recent SW movies. Animations should also reduce costs for big name actors, locations and movie props. There are so many computer effects that real actors movies are half animations anyway. While not perfect, animated Resident Evils are much better than with actors. I dont know who paid for them, but they couldn't have more money than Disney and SW would surely have more sales.
Eleena was never Malgus's wife. She was his servant with 'benefits'. He did kill her though, but that was because he finally realized that he did in-fact love her. She opened her eyes, saw the tears, reached up an arm to put a hand on his cheek. “What is wrong, my love?” “That I love you is what is wrong, Eleena.” “Veradun-” He steeled himself, stood, ignited his lightsaber, and drove it through her heart.
Malgus is my personal favorite sith lord not the best just my favorite love his story his combat proficiency and his overall character I always wanted a movie or series based on the the sacking of coruscant!!
I would also like to add that Darth Malgus was also an exceptional leader and brilliant tactician. His use of deception, directing troops during combat (as seen during the Deception trailer), his charisma as a leader, always leading from the front, and he never expected any of his warriors to do anything he wouldn’t do himself. He cared more about his fellow warriors and their well-being (troop welfare) than petty political bullshit among the upper ranks. Mission accomplishment and troop welfare: the two basic tenants. Darth Malgus attempted to ensure both were focused. He rose through the ranks based on pure ability and demeanor, rather than based on who he knew or what political games he played. In summary, he was not only extremely proficient in light saber combat and in tune with the dark side of the force, but also exemplified the perfect leader and a brilliant tactician. He’s the “Chesty Puller”, “Audie Murphy”, ect of the Sith in the Star Wars universe.
Malgus is my favorite Star Wars sith and character because if I was in Star Wars I would be malgus and also when I saw his fighting style I knew it was djemso without even that being confirmed

Malgus vs. Anakin Skywalker (no suit) Malgus vs. Darth Vader (suit) My thought: Darth Malgus is a little less powerful than Darth Vader. Even though Darth Vader’s force potential was diminished, his raw power in general was superb. Malgus would be a good close call for Vader, Malgus would take some wins.
Malgus would win for one reason. Due to the weakness Sidious put into Vader's armor. Malgus still has full use of force lighting which is what can kill Vader.
In the book star wars Betrayed there is a fight after malgus killed his wife, where he goes to visit his rival from the sith empire and basically goes to kill him in his own house. It's described that instead of bending the force to his will and use for his sake, after his loss he feels like he became one with the dark side of the force and he absolutely destroyed his rival. I think that is also very interesting since in the novelization of episode 3, obi wan describes a similar feeling when he basically frees himself and anikin from general grievous after being captured. This so called oneness is a state only very skilled force users could achieve. And obi wan also only had that in that moment if I remember correctly
This is an amazing ability that few beings are able to do since they have to be at true spiritual peace or in Malgus's case, purpose, to wield such definitive power !
Malgus may have suffered from Tunnel Vision but he wasn't blinded in the ways that Anakin (or "Pre-Suit Vader") was. Anakin was blinded by his overconfidence and arrogance. He wanted to prove that he was superior at every turn. Malgus, on the other hand, could remain very tactical even in the most intense battles, such as suckering in Ven Zallow by allowing the Jedi to hit him so he could take advantage and kill him. He is also capable off combating multiple Jedi at once, such as the ones he killed before he fought Zallow. In fact, he blocked Zallow's attack when he came at Malgus out of nowhere. I also have to disagree about the power of Malgus' Lightning. Yes, his Lightning didn't do much to Malcolm in the Battle of Alderan, however, in the Battle of Coruscant, he instantly killed three Jedi Padawans in one blast. It should also be noted that Force Malestrom was an advanced form of Force Lightning. So, Malgus probably couldn't have developed it unless his Lightning was highly advanced. He also didn't develop Malestrom until some time after killing his wife, an act which increased his powers to the point wherein the novel, "Deceived" he was described as actually being the Force. The point I'm making is, Malgus's powers and abilities increased significantly after the Battle of Alderan. His Lightning was more lethal, he wasn't as susceptible to tunnel vision, and his powers probably more than doubled after killing his wife. Against Darth Bane, I think Darth Malgus has the advantage due to his greater combat experience. Bane has only been in a handful of significant duels and most of his time was spent studying. Malgus, however, has spent decades on the Battlefield killing multiple Jedi Against Darth Vader, it's a much tougher fight to call. Vader has the overall advantage, being a more refined and varied duelist, and having far greater tactical ingenuity. There is also the fact that he is The Chosen One, allowing him access to greater power than he otherwise would have. Vader was never fully able to commit to the Dark Side because of his inner conflict and guilt. However, he was still able to increase his power due to him being the Chosen One. If he wasn't the Chosen One, I doubt he would be able to compete with Malgus' sheer power and embracement of the Dark Side.
This was awesome!! Malgus is my favorite sith and personally think that by the time Vader was around the sith are weak from the rule of two and the hiding so Malgus would be be stronger as a sith and with time would only have gotten stronger
I think it's fair to say Malgus probably ended up within the top 10 list of most powerful sith. Dont know if hes in the top end but hes definitely on that list by now.
Notice the similarities between vader and malgus..both used form 5 dimso Sabre form both killing their wives...both had breathing apparatuses..both were extremely strong warriors/force weilders
He also had skill in form 1 shi cho, 3 soresu, 5 shien and 7 juyo as a sith maruader. He also likely had some skill in niman as he can implement the force and use jarkai. He also had skill in numerous unarmed fighting methods.
2:58 even after taking a rocket to the face the yoda of that time needed further assistance against Malgus He would have defeated her on the reconquer of korriban within SECONDS if her master didnt safe her and on alderaan she needed help again.
I know nothing about the Old Republic era, my knowledge only comes from the tv shows, movies and some of the games like SHadows of The Empire and Rogue Squadron
I suggest picking up game called SWTOR. Its free-to-play (expansions require sub tho) story focused MMORPG where Darth Malgus is from too. You dont need to be fan of MMOs to enjoy what this game has to offer.
Malgus had what I call Nuke So or Derp So. Swing the lightsaber as hard as possible in the general direction and hope it does damage. Thats why Anakin, I think is the better Djem So master.
Jedi under siege reveals that Darth acina somehow rescued him and put him a lot of cybernetics and probably a killswitch or some kind of mental control thou chemicals, like some other sith said it “darth acina put malgus in a leash” you know to avoid him simply killing her and taking over the empire, but also that would mean that the Jedi could use that to their advantage.
Darth Malgus was the ultimate badass in SWTOR, of course he was hyped up because he appeared in all SWTOR trailers, in which he either beat up the Jedi or fought them to a standstill or to the point that they had to resort to extreme measures to take him down. Hell it took a strike team of elite members of all branches of either the Sith Empire or the Republic to take him down and he still survived!

It's pronounced "Male-strum". In a way, Darth Malgus is the opposite of Darth Tyrannus. Dooku was all about elegance and subtly, whereas Malgus was usually about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face. Just because he was brutally direct doesn't mean he was stupid.
Solid video! One possible correction - Y’all said Ven Zallow was a Grandmaster, but I don’t believe that’s accurate; he was a VERY powerful Jedi Master, but I don’t think he was a GM... That aside... I will die on the hill of promoting for Disney to stop exclusively making movies/shows that only focus on the same damn 75 year period and start giving us some Old Republic / Great Galactic Civil War content because it is 10000x more interesting that freakin’ Rey. I’m with them continuing to make more stuff in/around the Skywalker saga, but they are just leaving so much better content on the table. I’m sure they’ll eventually smarten hope, but I hope it’s before I’m back in diapers 😂😂😂.

My only knowledge of Malgus is from the trailers but he is still one of my favourites along-side Vader and Tulak Hord, really need to find more to read regarding Hord.
Darth Malgus is one of my favorite with lords and I’d rank him easily amongst vader. He has brute strength and he uses the dark side to enforce this power. He is a sledge hammer and may not have very good blade skills but he is a brilliant tactician. One of my favorites for sure
DurpandDurp but he did have exceptional blade skills... he bested Jedi master Kao Cen Darach while he was still an apprentice and then killed his own master who had failed to do so moments later. I don’t know where this “not very good blade skills” came from.
the Kao Cen Darach vs Malgus was BS - Kao was absolutely on another level, his perception of the battle was unparalleled. He is a battlemaster that must have dueled against physically stronger species such as Besalisks or Wookiees. Yet here, as soon at Malgus picked up another lightsaber he became excessively powerful, not gradually, but immediately.
Darth Malgus is one of my personal favorite Sith (currently 3rd to Sorzus Syn and Darth Zannah). Going off of what you wanted to hear from us, I believe that Malgus is more powerful than Vader, but not as powerful as Bane. Vader and Malgus are very similar in combat and attitude during the fight, but I believe that Malgus has the superior strength and with his Force abilities such as Force Mailstorm put him above Vader, at least with me. Even though I believe that Malgus is stronger than Vader, I don't think that with Bane. I believe it would be an interesting fight from Malgus's superior strength, but with Bane, his Force powers and understanding of the Force would prove more powerful than Malgus's strength.

Going by the completely injured version we got in the movie he got that way after Mace Windu used force crush and destroyed other vital organs he did not have in the movies before then he was a force to be reckoned with killed tons of Jedi that's why the got Mace because he was the Jedis greatest warrior

Darth Malgus is definitely one of my favorite characters in all of the lore. Deceived is just a fantastic novel and the Old Republic intro cutscenes are amazing. Sidious later praising him and trying to mentor Vader thru his story just made him even cooler.
He was even at one point the Sith Emperor.

Nath4nie1 Cru2 even though he was covered under rocks, after he woke up he was pissed, thier we’re still two Jedi around him, he killed them both, and he wasn’t injured that badly so he didn’t really need anything, except I think his lungs were injured so, he could breathe normally but he would run out of breathe quickly so he has a me mechanical inhaler to boost his breathing it also helps him fatigue less cause his intaking more less

I really enjoyed his charismatic speeches. It really shows that he’s more then just a warrior but also a intellectual!!! What a fantastic activist, who actually stead up for equality between humans and other alien species. Malgus definitely was one of the great leaders during that particular time

Honestly I think because of his force lightning and maelstrom he could probably best Vader in combat. But that's because Sidious made Vader's suit weak to force lightning. Taking direct damage force attacks out of the equation though, I put my money on Vader. Vader would, in my opinion, over power Malgus in brute strength with the lightsaber.
Remember Darth Malgus survived a mountain falling on him. Malgus has cut a saber in half. Vader has not. Vader is great at combat and one of my favorite characters. Both get angry as they fight. I believe it would be a great battle. But i believe in experience it would go to Malgus. Because on his own he is as big as Vader is without cybernetic enhancements.
Darth malgus was a warrior he bested some really good Jedi and sith he was the best at light saber combat and force powers were at a good level Darth Vader is good but Darth malgus would make you his bitch
It would be a fantastic fight, for sure. Vader may not have had a mountain fall on him, but he did survive being engulfed in a river of lava on Mustafar when the natives attacked him at his castle. Which is an insanely impressive feat in its own right.
And even though he'd lost all of his limbs fighting Obi Wan and was only at 80% max power, Vader's max power before his injuries was technically unlimited. He could have unquestionably overwhelmed even Sidious had he not been so badly wounded and had enough time to truly train and build up his experience. Even at 80%, Vader was still insanely powerful.
You have to remember Sidious still found an extremely wounded and damaged Vader to be enough of a threat to build a weakness directly into his suit as a last resort insurance policy. And even with that weakness and Vader being directly nuked by Sidious' force lightning, he still couldn't kill Vader fast enough to not be killed by Vader. That too is actually a quite impressive feat. I don't believe anyone has ever powered through a full on force lightning attack by Sidious, that was actually meant to kill. And finally, this may seem minor, but is worth mentioning, Vader only had one hand and Sidious could not escape his grasp.
Vader is a straight up monster. I would still absolutely love to see Malgus and Vader duel. It'd be a clash of the titans to be remembered for the ages.

@@spinelessmoderate8715 that is very true. We could go on and on about both character's feats and capabilities. In the end they both are warriors that single handedly attacked the jedi temples. But Malgus fought the GrandMaster at the time instead of going after the younglings. So possibly Vader feared Yoda even though he wasnt there. Never went to find Yoda. He didnt kill Mace Windu either. But Malgus killed almost every Jedi he faced.
I think a few things are incorrect here. First, kao cen darach was a notable kill, and a Jedi battle master; however, Ven Zallow was the next Jedi battle master after kao. He was considered the best the Jedi had to offer, and darth malgus thought Ven was one of the best fighters he ever fought. Malgus gave Ven way more respect than he did kao.
Next, darth malgus’ force lightning was extremely powerful, he killed three Jedi with a single blast of it. He also had such control over it, that he was able to combo it with high level telekineses, strong enough to move the very air around him into a cyclone, while levitating and throwing objects (known as force maelstrom). His power in the force is severely underrated. Other notable force techniques known to him, but not mentioned or underrated are; force wave, force explosion, and he was able to both hide his own presence in the force, along with being able to sense hidden presence’s of others. He was resistant to force lightning. His physical force augments where also next level, and often woven in, or combined with the other combative force techniques at his disposal. He multitasked force abilities,
Last, you speak of his tunnel vision, I never read anything or seen anything that signified this. He is always very focused and aware when he is in combat. This is especially so, after he kills Elena daru, then he describes himself as “residing within the calm eye of a storm of hatred”. He has never been defeated in a one on one fight and is known for beating both Jedi knight or master, at the same time as their Jedi apprentices... How does he suffer from tunnel vision?
When he has been defeated, its by multiple opponents and it takes a lot. He is most definitely the most powerful of his time, only second, maybe, to vitiate/valkorian. If it’s fighting he is unbeatable, it would take vapaad at the very least to do so.

@@HarryG98 It would cost a lot, but I don't think too much to be possible. If done right it would be much better than recent SW movies. Animations should also reduce costs for big name actors, locations and movie props. There are so many computer effects that real actors movies are half animations anyway.
While not perfect, animated Resident Evils are much better than with actors. I dont know who paid for them, but they couldn't have more money than Disney and SW would surely have more sales.

Malgus is my personal favorite sith lord not the best just my favorite love his story his combat proficiency and his overall character I always wanted a movie or series based on the the sacking of coruscant!!
I would also like to add that Darth Malgus was also an exceptional leader and brilliant tactician. His use of deception, directing troops during combat (as seen during the Deception trailer), his charisma as a leader, always leading from the front, and he never expected any of his warriors to do anything he wouldn’t do himself. He cared more about his fellow warriors and their well-being (troop welfare) than petty political bullshit among the upper ranks. Mission accomplishment and troop welfare: the two basic tenants. Darth Malgus attempted to ensure both were focused.
He rose through the ranks based on pure ability and demeanor, rather than based on who he knew or what political games he played. In summary, he was not only extremely proficient in light saber combat and in tune with the dark side of the force, but also exemplified the perfect leader and a brilliant tactician. He’s the “Chesty Puller”, “Audie Murphy”, ect of the Sith in the Star Wars universe.

My thought: Darth Malgus is a little less powerful than Darth Vader. Even though Darth Vader’s force potential was diminished, his raw power in general was superb. Malgus would be a good close call for Vader, Malgus would take some wins.
Malgus would win for one reason. Due to the weakness Sidious put into Vader's armor. Malgus still has full use of force lighting which is what can kill Vader.

In the book star wars Betrayed there is a fight after malgus killed his wife, where he goes to visit his rival from the sith empire and basically goes to kill him in his own house. It's described that instead of bending the force to his will and use for his sake, after his loss he feels like he became one with the dark side of the force and he absolutely destroyed his rival. I think that is also very interesting since in the novelization of episode 3, obi wan describes a similar feeling when he basically frees himself and anikin from general grievous after being captured. This so called oneness is a state only very skilled force users could achieve. And obi wan also only had that in that moment if I remember correctly
This is an amazing ability that few beings are able to do since they have to be at true spiritual peace or in Malgus's case, purpose, to wield such definitive power !

Malgus may have suffered from Tunnel Vision but he wasn't blinded in the ways that Anakin (or "Pre-Suit Vader") was. Anakin was blinded by his overconfidence and arrogance. He wanted to prove that he was superior at every turn. Malgus, on the other hand, could remain very tactical even in the most intense battles, such as suckering in Ven Zallow by allowing the Jedi to hit him so he could take advantage and kill him. He is also capable off combating multiple Jedi at once, such as the ones he killed before he fought Zallow. In fact, he blocked Zallow's attack when he came at Malgus out of nowhere.
I also have to disagree about the power of Malgus' Lightning. Yes, his Lightning didn't do much to Malcolm in the Battle of Alderan, however, in the Battle of Coruscant, he instantly killed three Jedi Padawans in one blast. It should also be noted that Force Malestrom was an advanced form of Force Lightning. So, Malgus probably couldn't have developed it unless his Lightning was highly advanced. He also didn't develop Malestrom until some time after killing his wife, an act which increased his powers to the point wherein the novel, "Deceived" he was described as actually being the Force.
The point I'm making is, Malgus's powers and abilities increased significantly after the Battle of Alderan. His Lightning was more lethal, he wasn't as susceptible to tunnel vision, and his powers probably more than doubled after killing his wife.
Against Darth Bane, I think Darth Malgus has the advantage due to his greater combat experience. Bane has only been in a handful of significant duels and most of his time was spent studying. Malgus, however, has spent decades on the Battlefield killing multiple Jedi
Against Darth Vader, it's a much tougher fight to call. Vader has the overall advantage, being a more refined and varied duelist, and having far greater tactical ingenuity. There is also the fact that he is The Chosen One, allowing him access to greater power than he otherwise would have. Vader was never fully able to commit to the Dark Side because of his inner conflict and guilt. However, he was still able to increase his power due to him being the Chosen One. If he wasn't the Chosen One, I doubt he would be able to compete with Malgus' sheer power and embracement of the Dark Side.

Notice the similarities between vader and malgus..both used form 5 dimso Sabre form both killing their wives...both had breathing apparatuses..both were extremely strong warriors/force weilders
He also had skill in form 1 shi cho, 3 soresu, 5 shien and 7 juyo as a sith maruader. He also likely had some skill in niman as he can implement the force and use jarkai. He also had skill in numerous unarmed fighting methods.

I know nothing about the Old Republic era, my knowledge only comes from the tv shows, movies and some of the games like SHadows of The Empire and Rogue Squadron
I suggest picking up game called SWTOR. Its free-to-play (expansions require sub tho) story focused MMORPG where Darth Malgus is from too. You dont need to be fan of MMOs to enjoy what this game has to offer.
Malgus had what I call Nuke So or Derp So. Swing the lightsaber as hard as possible in the general direction and hope it does damage. Thats why Anakin, I think is the better Djem So master.
Jedi under siege reveals that Darth acina somehow rescued him and put him a lot of cybernetics and probably a killswitch or some kind of mental control thou chemicals, like some other sith said it “darth acina put malgus in a leash” you know to avoid him simply killing her and taking over the empire, but also that would mean that the Jedi could use that to their advantage.

Darth Malgus was the ultimate badass in SWTOR, of course he was hyped up because he appeared in all SWTOR trailers, in which he either beat up the Jedi or fought them to a standstill or to the point that they had to resort to extreme measures to take him down. Hell it took a strike team of elite members of all branches of either the Sith Empire or the Republic to take him down and he still survived!

It's pronounced "Male-strum". In a way, Darth Malgus is the opposite of Darth Tyrannus. Dooku was all about elegance and subtly, whereas Malgus was usually about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face. Just because he was brutally direct doesn't mean he was stupid.

I will die on the hill of promoting for Disney to stop exclusively making movies/shows that only focus on the same damn 75 year period and start giving us some Old Republic / Great Galactic Civil War content because it is 10000x more interesting that freakin’ Rey. I’m with them continuing to make more stuff in/around the Skywalker saga, but they are just leaving so much better content on the table. Darth Malgus is one of my favorite with lords and I’d rank him easily amongst vader. He has brute strength and he uses the dark side to enforce this power.
He is a sledge hammer and may not have very good blade skills but he is a brilliant tactician.

DurpandDurp but he did have exceptional blade skills... he bested Jedi master Kao Cen Darach while he was still an apprentice and then killed his own master who had failed to do so moments later.

the Kao Cen Darach vs Malgus was BS - Kao was absolutely on another level, his perception of the battle was unparalleled. He is a battlemaster that must have dueled against physically stronger species such as Besalisks or Wookiees. Yet here, as soon at Malgus picked up another lightsaber he became excessively powerful, not gradually, but immediately.
He held back so his master would be wounded and could be killed. He only unleashes his strength after his master is downed.
Darth Malgus is one of my personal favorite Sith (currently 3rd to Sorzus Syn and Darth Zannah).
Going off of what you wanted to hear from us, I believe that Malgus is more powerful than Vader, but not as powerful as Bane.
Vader and Malgus are very similar in combat and attitude during the fight, but I believe that Malgus has the superior strength and with his Force abilities such as Force Mailstorm put him above Vader, at least with me.
Even though I believe that Malgus is stronger than Vader, I don't think that with Bane. I believe it would be an interesting fight from Malgus's superior strength, but with Bane, his Force powers and understanding of the Force would prove more powerful than Malgus's strength.

I feel like Malgus would of course end up winning once he got tired of toying around with him but the spectacle of it blow for blow at lightning fast speed lightsabers crashing together would be more impressive then the fight between him and Obi Wan
Going by the completely injured version we got in the movie he got that way after Mace Windu used force crush and destroyed other vital organs he did not have in the movies before then he was a force to be reckoned with killed tons of Jedi that's why the got Mace because he was the Jedis greatest warrior
