Violin player "my instrument is 100 years old and cost 100k+" .... Percussion player " I HAS A BUCKET"
i wrote in another comment.. we are on a BUDGET here.. so we use chains, buckets, toothpicks and all we can find
Dear god!
@@wh3nderson95 but you might spot a strat,.. ;)
Percussionists are in charge of everything that doesn't fit in to the other categories or other musicians refuse to play. They are basically the bottom feeders of the orchestra, extremely important to the ecosystem, but exists on things others don't want.
MissBehaven1974 is mayonnaise an instrument??
Me watching The Fifth Element: There's no way a human could preform this.
The Danish National Symphony Orchestra feat. Jihye Kim: Hold my akvavit.
"there's no way a human could perform this". And what did you think she was, a robot or an alien? Never listen to Opera? 🤔
@@robyfiorili ahhh... It is actually impossible. They recorded her voice and then manipulated the notes on purpose to make a song that would be impossible for humans to sing, because she is an alien, thats the point. The notes CAN be achieved by a human, the impossible part is the speed in which Diva jumps from very high notes to low notes with perfect transition and without legato.
@@jessicahiga9870 Well, ok. I did not know
@@jessicahiga9870 Not surprised the person who can perform this to perfection is Asian ;)
YES, It Can🥰 and it's Beautiful, Beyond my Belief 😥👍
and UM! Roberto F. "YOUR TALKING ABOUT THE MOVIE" with 6 Month's of Post Production!
Jihyne Kim is Doing it LIVE! On the Spot! and IT's Damn Near PERFECT!
OMG, I just stumbled onto DR Koncerthuset, so out of the box with their music choices and sounds. Ms Kim is amazing, and smiling right to the end of the very demanding Diva Dance vocal.
The DR1 (and National) Symphony Orchestra is the Danish equivalent to the English BBC1 Symphony Orchestra, and their mission is not to push or provide a special brand of "taste" in music but is all about providing top quality public service to make all who watch and listen, and not least children and younger people get a taste for this kind of symphony orchestra music, also for educational purpose and to "nurture" their development.
Congratulations to soprano Ms. Kim for even daring to sing this piece, which is obviously not composed for human voice, and imitate a digitally edited record. But I still think that Jane Zhang's performance is the nearest to the original.
@Ani Sakaci Agreed
She can definitely continue to craft it.
Jane Zhang's performance was amazing, not that this wasn't excellent.
Agreed, but i think this arrangement is far better :D I would love to combine those two.
@@cheraf9488 agreed.
Possibly one of the best pieces of cinema ever.
If ever a human being reached perfection in a craft it is here and now.
My respect to The Danish Orchestra Band!!! I swear, every day they keep impressing me with their music not only playing better than what is produce but playing just like it. I hope they keep growing and performing this great music!!!!
The sax was unncessary. The synths muddied the harmony.
What a beauty and great singer she is!
Soprano: Jihye Kim
This song is literally out of this world
What do you play in the orchestra?
Principal Bucketist
Divine... PERFECT... Celestial... Bravo and Bravisimo... The Best Voice... Extraordinary Orchestra...
What an incredible voice Jihye Kim has...
That was amazing to say the least...
Anthony Hermus is a boss!
Well done and bravo!
Aziz...LIGHT!!..thank you Aziz
Whenever somebody names the name Aziz, I ALWAYS scream, LIGHT!!!
@@tlalotoani Whenever somebody needs light, I ALWAYS scream AZIZ!

I always say that when i need light and theres someone who can turn it on xD
She is exceptional! Simply the best, Ms. Kim.

Wow, that's an astonishing performance! She did beautiful ❤️
Seeing them live is on my bucket list
I see what you did there
@@marinosabijan :-)
If you can watch this without getting goosebumps you're not human!
And it still gives me goosebumps when i hear The Fifth Element......
Amazing on so many levels...great job
OMG! This is PERFECTION! She even Got the "KICK" Right!
I, can HEAR, "Corvin, Trying to Save LELOO" in IT🥰
"The Fifth Element" is one of The most UNDER-RATED SCI-FI Movies Ever❤👍
Really admire the dude that nailed playing the beads at the beginning.
...this voice of Jihye Kim is insane!
This deserves more views.
Mouth open watching and listening ,absolutely amazing....
A beautiful singer, with a beautiful voice!
This is so beautiful, a computer generated song reproduced as close to the movie by a human singer and a fantastic backing group if musicians
Diva Plavalaguna was sung by Inva Mula Tchako, not computer.
@@derpingdead ... Inva Mula Tchako was heavily computer edited and using autotune, which this is not ... in a live version Inva would fail misserably in compare to this level
@@agffans5725 I always thought the final section was a sampling keyboard
Here is a Male Singer who is the best voice in the world! Not a computer .... more than 6 octaves

@@1timcat Because it was. Eric Sérra, composer for the movie, wrote it that way on purpose for the futuristic and alien feel. It's not the entire thing, but heavy-handed none the less. All the artists that sing it modify the piece, as they should, since it's impossible to sing it as it was written. And it's quite common anyway to rearrange stuff in various performances, regardless of it being possible or not. The only reason you see people vehemently pretend the contrary is unhealthy fandom fluffing, as if admitting that AN IMPOSSIBLE part being modified diminished the artists in any way. Or to one-up the performance somebody else might prefer.
Tak DR Symphony Orkester dette er noget af det bedste i har lavet. Elsker det stykke musik!
One of my favorite movies! What a treat!
"I am the principle violinist what do you play?" "I play 2nd bin and lid"
Sensational ! Thank you so much !
Magnifique !
What a fantastic voice.
Amazing rendition
Wonderful Voice! 💖
Brilliant!!! Happy tears ! On loop 3 times!
Wow! Amazing 🥰👏👏👏👏
That is incredible difficulty piece to sing. So far I've seen only one singer who can do it (in movies they use computer to do that final part). But still I am very, very impressed.
who?
@@Matt561 Jane Zhang. Chinese pop singer. Find her on YT it is not difficult to find that piece from 5th element with her singing
What about Dimash Kudaibergen? For me the best version of all who has tried it.
@@raimundematiusaityte9929 He is good, very good but not as perfect as Jane. He made some changes in his version that made this piece little easier to sing. Listen carefully both versions and you will notice that changes, especially in that most difficult moment of The Diva Dance
@@KrzysztofNowacki So did she. And everybody else. She skips 2 runs in hers, and uses chest, mix and head (which is a big nono in opera). It's nice to listen to, not hating at all, but people of all fandoms need to realise they all modify the piece because it was written to be impossible. Like, on the technical level. No human can switch that fast. Biology would not allow it. Human biology at least, which was the point of the composer. It's supposed to be sung by a blue alien with 4 bricks in her stomach.
Wow..amazing..
sublime. I thank you.
Great job! Thanks for your efforts! Sounds good.
Великолепно! Браво! Спасибо за чудесные пять минут, которые я провёл не зря.
I can't believe so many orchestras and singers actually perform this. In the movie, it seemed like it was half special effects, but these singers pull it off.
So, the incredible voice and performance of all of them aside, no one is talking about them using friggin' buckets??? :D
we are on a budget here...
I wonder what Hyacinth would say to that.
@@MichaelAndersen_DK "boo-kay"
Watch them playing the Loony Tunes theme... they play carrots in that one!!!
Wow, what a beautiful soprano!
Amazing. Thank you
Wonderful!!! bravo!!!
Beautiful❤❤
A voice that makes your eyes water...........heavy duty....

Fantastisch, wunderschön, ich bin total begeistert.
Great!
Super green!
oh boy,.. love that.. that movie still gets me cry/laugh/think/wonder and most of all.. makes me happy
Super !!!!! Bravo !!!!!
Love watching the members smashing the buckets for effect near end of arrangement.
This was superbly done and Jihye Kim did a magnificent job of singing it. She's the second Asian woman to pull off a near perfect job of singing the, at the time, impossible part since it was originally done through digital manipulation. I'm still a major fan of Jane Zhang's version done 7 years ago, available to see here on YT, but this one is on nearly the same level.
Wonderful
Very powerful performance, makes go shiver through my spine 👍
Awesome!!!!!!
Bravo~!!
La Orquesta Danesa Siempre Excelente !!!
Ahora puedo morir en paz...!!! gracias...!
Meu Deus !! Que lindo !
Amazing
Sensational!
Marvelously executed 👏👏👏
BRAVO!!!!!!!!
3:52 WAIT WAIT!! I'm not readyyy!!! Oh my.... "dancing".
Fabulous! Just stunning! Also, I can help but visualize the conversation:
"Mama, do you still have that tray Uncle gave you?"
Mama: "The ornate one?"
Drummer: "Yes. I need to borrow it."
Mama: "You finally having that girl over for tea?"
Drummer: "No, Mama. I want to play it."
Mama: "Play it?"
Drummer: "Yes. In a concert. Oh, while we're at it, can borrow some uncooked sushi rice or amaranth or something? And some plastic wrap?"
Mama: "Hold my basket."
Annie NYC what?
@@shanesimpson4407 the joke I told myself which had me cracking up (the things they were playing... ), clearly ended up being meaningful only to me ... ;) This one flopped. :) Have a lovely and thank you for taking a moment to even ask ... :)
