I have met many people who have studied philosophy at top universities but they know nothing about Vedanta . Hence they are still baffled by some questions that are easily answered by Vedanta . This eloquent swami is soaked in Vedanta but also is very well versed in western philosophy . What a living resource ! He has done the hard miles on our behalf . Thank you Swami . Thank you Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi . Happy Easter to one and all ✝️🕉️🙏

"What was hidden by Maya? You were hidden by Maya. Maya did not hide the truth from you. You are the truth. So the play of Maya was your own play."
This took my mind into complete silence for couple of minutes, which usually never happens. And when I rethink the last line again & again, it gives such a strange feeling I can't describe.

      we all are infinite
There is no existence of many
We ( i mean all jivatmas) exist because of ahankar /false egos ( for an example
We had no name before birth after birth parents gives us name
We think that name and body and other relatives are associated with us
But where were all of this when we were born we have no ideo about all these things
      Another example is
When we were child that time i was exist
When we were teenager, young I was existed(
I means the real self which didi not changed remain unchanged irrespective of changes in gross body exterbal world )
      and mahamaya( forgetting real self)

But it does not mean maya = illusion. Maya is the creative shakthi of Shiva and it is absolutely real. He could just as easily meditate all day. But then again, probably not. He seems to very clearly understand what he is called to do in this manifestation and that is incredibly wonderful.

Beautiful Synopsis by Swami Sarvapriyananda; a walking talking encyclopedia of knowledge in Adawita Vedanta and most contemporary Western religious philosophies. The more fruits you add to your smoothie, the better it tastes. As Vivekananda said, A frog croaking loud and hard from his own will never admit that anything can be bigger than the confines of his own well. In that respect, we should welcome the intermingling of diverse philosophies and belief systems.
A good example of Maya is like watching a movie in the theatre. We are so immersed in the characters that we laugh and cry with them for the entire duration of the film but as soon as the lights are turned back on, we see the blank white screen. Neither the movie characters were real, nor the screen but only the seer is real. This is what Aashtavakra said to Janaka 'Neither that was real, nor this is real, Only you are real'.

Sadhuguru knows a few aspects of raja yoga and that's all. He never emphasises the necessity of Yama and niyamas even. He just speaks English fluently and manages to deceive people. He also has no knowledge of the indepth knowledge of the upanishads the basis of every vedantic Darshana, (the thing we call hinduism is nothing but vedanta. The yoga darshan however is older than vedantic schools mostly as it takes from sankhya more than vedanta) just superficiality at best. My suspicions in his authenticity rose when he started talking about swami vivekananda's life while having no knowledge of it except superficiality. That's the same reason I dislike western philosophers, too superficial. Buddhist schools of thought like in Nagarjuna's Madhayamaka philosophy, Dharmakirti's Yogacara-Sautrantika philosophy and other schools are much more profound than these. But the most profound philosophy is Gaudapada's Ajativada and Swami vivekananda's interpretation of Maya. These two coupled with advaita vedanta makes advaita the most profound philosophy in the whole world. Sadhguru clearly dodges questions on advaita vedanta and that shows his utter ignorance. It will do you great good to stay away from such conmen.

Guruji underwent many trials and tribulations, but at the age of 13 he emerged victorious, self-realized! Guruji has been a beacon of light for many, including myself. I have first-hand witnessed many of his leelas and what some might call, Miracles. Due to his grace, I am working in the USA and also treading the path of yoga swiftly. Guruji does not believe in fame or building ashrams, despite living in the heart of New Delhi he has stayed fairly anonymous and meets only a handful of people who are sincere and want to tread the spiritual path. Guruji, a while back took on the initiative of sharing his knowledge through building a website thetreasuredivine.com/home/. The objective of this website is to guide seekers treading the spiritual path and also to bring the positive vibrations of a True saint to one and all. I hope this humble initiative will be helpful in your spiritual journey and may the divine principle enlighten your lives.

I love this spiritual leaders commentary. I haven't watched this yet but his discussion on the Buddha vs Hinduism was a great discussion. A bit hard for a Rookie like me to understand but very fascinating. I was once a Christian and then renounced Christianity and came to love Judaism and the Kabbalah and I still love Kabbalah teachings. I find the Old Testament now too violent to read and I believe in the truths of the Vedas and Buddha . I don't know fully and who ever does but the ideas in Hinduism and Buddhism ring so true to me. So much to learn. Thank you for these great teachings!

If we are honest we all know that we never see a world but are always only looking at our own mind. Somehow we tend to forget and ignore this fact. But when we honestly look without assuming anything it will be seen for what it really is: Maya. 😘

THE TRUTH ABOUT "SWAMI" VIVEKANANDA & THE RAMAKRISHNA MISSION:
Some of the following three points apply to practically any "religious" organization, not only to the Ramakrishna Mission/Vedanta Society.
Nota bene: I refer to the founder of that pseudo-religious organization by his proper name, Mr. Narendranath Datta, and NOT the name by which he is addressed by the deluded fanatics who follow him, "Swami Vivekananda", for reasons that should become obvious when reading the following.
      1. A spiritual master ought to be a member of the Holy Priesthood (that is, the "brāhmaṇa" class of society, usually wrongly transliterated as "Brahmin"). Mr. Datta was a member of the working-class ("śūdra", in Sanskrit), since he failed to exhibit key characteristics of a genuine brāhmaṇa.
Firstly, he was a drug addict (he died at a young age, due to lung cancer caused by chain smoking tobacco). 🚬
Secondly, he was a carnist. A carnist is a person who considers animals unworthy of moral protection (he virtually suckled on the teats of cows, thus causing undue harm to both himself, to the cows from whom he stole their milk, and of course the poor, innocent calves, who were robbed of their food). 🍼 🐄 🥛
In order to learn of the prerequisites for being a TRUE BRĀHMAṆA, email me for a copy of the Holiest of All Holy Scriptures, "A Final Instruction Sheet for Humanity" ("FISH").
      2. The Ramakrishna Mission/Vedanta Society condones the two MOST PERNICIOUS institutions in the history of the planet - democracy and feminism. There is insufficient space in this comment section to properly explicate the reasons why democracy (or, for that matter, any system of non-monarchical governance) and feminism are so adharmic and evil, so, if you are one of the very few souls who is desirous of understanding my reason for stating the above, you should find my Email address in the "About" page of my UA-cam channel.
      3. Because, as mentioned previously, Mr. Datta was an ultra-fundamentalist pseudo-religious fanatic, and an ignorant "śūdra", none of his disciples and grand-disciples, et cetera, can ever attain to self-realization, for as Lord Jesus Christ rightly stated two millennia ago, "A student can never be greater than his teacher".
Therefore, if one has ambition to become even more "realized" than Mr. Datta, it is ABSOLUTELY IMPERATIVE that he seek training from a guru who is on a higher state of spiritual understanding and realization than Mr. Datta, or any of the current Ramakrishna Mission "sannyasins".
Just to provide a couple of examples for the above accusation, the current head of the Advaita Society of New York, Mr. Vishvarupa (so-called "Swami" Sarvapriyānanda) is a self-confessed candāla (dog-eater), since he consumes the bloody carcasses of poor, innocent animals, and of course, as a member of that demonic organization, he promulgates the second-most pernicious institution in history (feminism). Furthermore, the British woman who hosts his UA-cam channel, Diane Crafford, according to her Facebook profile picture, condones not only unjustified animal slaughter, but she supports the murder of even poor, innocent, defenseless, unborn humans. 👿
In order to study dharma and yoga with the current World Teacher Himself, search for "Jagadguru Svami Vegananda" in Facebook.
      😇 सत्यमेव जयते! 😇

I am feeling so purified after this talk. It had a profound impact. I was at enormous peace for the rest of my day. The way Swamiji narrated it so eloquently, it unfolded like a movie.. and I couldn't take my eyes and mind off it even for a second.
Watched the full 1 hour 20 minute episode entirely at the edge of my seat... And this is Maya.. and this is maya...And then the climax of the movie.. Aham Brahma asmi. Bestest of best lecture. So entertaining yet so profound with his remarkable sense of humor, knowledge, shlokas, passages, anecdotes & quotes from various schools of thought.
I could totally relate to every word of Swami Vivekananda as I myself feel and witness the contradictions of life.. "and this is maya". Almost made me cry as if my heart is sinking with this grand illusion called life no one could catch it, understand it or hold it in hand.. its like sand so transient.. I am so glad that Swami Vivekanand's talks are being revived vividly through his modern day reincarnation, enlightening people across the world.
A saint & yugpurush like Swami Vivekanand's ideas & principles of advaita are scintillating & mind boggling.. thanks to Swami Sarvpriyananda for keeping it relevant, fresh and vibrant even after a century.

On earlier occasions, Swamiji also referenced Maya in the following contexts -
    1. Obscures the distinction between Seer & Seen - Dhruk-Dhrusya Viveka
    2. Makes you believe that you are this body & mind via Aavarana & Vikshepa- (covers your true nature & projects something else in its place)
    3. The ignorance we experience in Anandamaya Khosha.
    4. Maya is Time, Space & Causation
    5. Maya is Name, Form and Function
Existence, Consciousness and Bliss are Brahman. Nama & Rupa (Jagat) are aspects of Maya.
    6. Maya associates doer-ship with actions of the body and mind.
    7. Maya associates Experiencer-ship with joy and sorrow that happen in the mind.
