Thank you so much Swami Sarvapriyananda and VSoNY. I can listen to Swami endlessly. I'm so glad I have arrived at this higher understanding and knowing my true, infinite nature and essence. At least, I know that I am well along the journey, well on the way: it has taken many years. And this is a talk and explanation I will refer others to. People like to throw out the remark about karma, but they don't really have that much understanding of it. Your explanation and elaboration here, is something that even skeptics should be able to appreciate or be open to.

love it " thirst for continued limited existence" clinging on to Maya as if it was reality and manifestations here are important and last... to view this lifetime as a instrument or occurrence for the soul to achieve enlightenment and to use and be used by circumstances towards this goal is a good way to look at life... we have outward looking metrics for success and happiness when in fact we could all grasp at so called life less harder and be a bit detached as we are obsessing over that which isn't true... it is a odd dichotomy of life... the more one seems to pursue material life and samsara and be deeper in "duty" the harder it is to step away ... and focus on ones own spirituality...

Another spotless, articulate, lively and informed talk by (IMHO) the best speaker speaking in the English language today -- in any field. Great that his topic is our spiritual salvation but I'd listen to him issue forth on the life cycle of moths. And who is not inspired to go get a copy of Vivekenanda's Karma Yoga right now?
Also I appreciate all the commenters who remind us we are receiving gold when we may become used to receiving it from Swami and take it for granted just a little bit. Namaste fellow travellers.

Swami Vivekananda not only woke up those in the West. He shooked the world. The western world was in deep slumber and Vivekananda awoken them. That light of Enlightenment has shone bright but you Swami Sarvappriyannanda is the Beacon.
This was such a great video. I'm know I'm late in the game but I find this subject fascinating. I'm going to back and try to catch up on your past videos and learn as much as possible. ❤❤

Surprised you didn't mention Chinmaya Mission when listing the organisations from India coming to the USA. After Ramakrishna Math, the only other organisation in spreading Vedanta is Chinmaya Mission.

"Swami, you state that the core of Advaita does not adhere to the theory of Karma, a point you've reiterated many times, citing the words of Sri Shankaracharya. Which comes first, birth (janma) or karma? This question itself challenges the karma theory. Why then do you support the karma theory? On one hand, you advocate for the Vivarta theory, and on the other, you seem to endorse the karma theory. Is this because you are concerned about human ethics and wish to provide a moral framework for people? Why do you appear to take a dual stance?
Its not dual stance its the telative plane from which you are talking.
If Adwaita natute is realised then only one can say that karma law dssolves otherwise its always there.
