His Holiness Pope Francis arrived in the Philippines at 5:32 pm via Sri Lankan Airlines A340 for his five-day State Visit and Apostolic Journey to the country.
President Benigno S. Aquino III, together with Vice President Jejomar Binay, members of the Cabinet, the country’s archbishops, and selected children warmly welcomed Pope Francis and his delegation.
As part of the welcome ceremony for Pope Francis, the youth prepared a dance number and two children offered him flowers upon coming down the stairs. The pontiff showed his joy and appreciation by hugging the two children.
From Villamor Air Base, Pope Francis boarded an open-type pope mobile on the way to the Nunciature where he will officially stay throughout his visit. A huge number of Filipinos hoping to see the pontiff lined up the streets of Manila and cheered loudly when the papal convoy passed by. Pope Francis stood inside his vehicle throughout the trip and waved enthusiastically until he entered the Nunciature.

GOD never founded the Catholic Church. The Pope is being criticized by most evangelicals because they probably know the history of the Roman Catholic Church. Yes, it was the first physical church established back then but it was just used by Constantine for his self interests. Roman Catholic Church when traces back their their roots from Constantine who is a pagan at that time. Constantine has just used the Roman Catholicism to rule his kingdom so as a pagan, he then introduces the gods of pagan to Rome by changing the name of the gods into Saint bla bla bla just to pretend that he had embraced Christianity but actually not..... that even the past popes speaks of their roots... president Duterte knows that...

Watching August 2019 and I can't let myself forget the feelings when I saw the Pope personally. Its a mixed emotions but what I assured that moment was I felt a great joy in my heart seeing him personally. I hope this coming 2021 in the celebration of 500 Years as CATHOLIC we will meet and see him again in our country. MABUHAY KA SANTO PADRE!
The Philippines love their Pope. Crowds of millions who were on hand to received the Head of the Catholic church just shows how happy and joyful they are at this historic event.

We went to Luneta last January 18, 2015 from Sto. Cristo Parish Marulas Valenzuela City to hear the Holy Mass of Pope Francis, there are three of us celebrating our birthdays on that day.
