Yes man, some people ARE as thick as shit and why they would buy a good amp without knowing how to cable it up is mind numbing. Well done fella there are a lot of tossers out there...
I live in the USA but I bought some recievers and speakers with caps on the terminals and I always wondered why they caped terminals like that. I should have figured it had something to do with stupid people, 😂 Good video. Thank you. I would love to see videos of people sticking a wall plug into a speaker or a reciever better still, 😂😂😂 they deserve to have their equipment blown up if they are that dumb.
Seems there are different types of post caps .. mine ONKYO - has a cap with a hole in the top. I took your advice and used a screw 🎵 Amazing content as always!
Fantastic. Just bought some speakers and they have these in the binding posts. Stanley Knife, okay thanks :) For a minute there I thought it was going to get progressively more extreme. "And if we direct the thermonuclear warhead at the binding post... the plug is gone...". Also it seems to me that if you use a screw to get it out and didn't drill a pilot hole first then it might act like a rawl plug. Thanks :)
@@UTILITARIANTVUK Thanks for replying. I had a go at getting the plugs out this afternoon and couldn't. Seeing your reply I had another go and by wedging the point of the knife in there, it worked :) Saved on needing some spade connectors.

I remember older amps such as my Arcam Alpha which I bought in 1990 only had access for banana plugs. It was the only way to connect the leads.
Your style of presentation is great.. Your follower from Iraq

A pair of small wire snips make life easier if you have short finger nails.
what makes you think more intelligent then the rest of the world?
I have a PHD in removing banana plug caps.
hahahahaha@@UTILITARIANTVUK
Simply unscrew the knob which will push the cap back, then screw the knob back in slightly to leave the cap protruding and can now be easily removed.
Unfortunately, it isn't that simple. In most amps you can't unscrew them all the way, plus the cap stays in place when it's unscrewed.
@@UTILITARIANTVUK Ok. I'm fairly sure that's what I did with my Marantz amp, but I will will put the caps back in to check - if I can find them! 🤔
Clueless.
It worked 👍
Amplifiers, speakers, I can confirm they put those damn plugs in everything in the US as well. Please don't eat the silica packets!
Thanks for the tip! 😄
EU safety crap is my guess.
This stressed me out 😅

I was going to use the Death Star's superlaser!

What a load of tosh - never seen these connectors capped - anyway the only safety issue would be at the wall socket AND THEY ARE NOT CAPPPED😆
Useful but only from 6:21
