The male dancer was an amazing man named Tom Mette. Sadly he was hit by a cab in NYC and killed crossing a bridge while riding his bicycle. I lived in Baltimore in 98/99 and this era of Lungfish will forever be in my heart and mind as the most spiritual and amazing music i've ever experienced.
RIP But all the bridges in NYC have separate paths for bikes. Spent some years in Baltimore in the 90s. Really miss the friends I had there. As well as Reptilian Records.
he certainly knows how to capture the audience in a semispiritual trancy atmosphere... ...sadly he once has ruined that experience for me by rambling on about chemtrails... could have been meant somewhat tongue-in-cheek but felt genuine
@@uliuchu4318 chemtrails are legit real. Ask anyone who lives by an Air Force base and they’ll tell you they’re everywhere. Ask any of the ex-AF whistleblowers like Kristen Meghan the hazardous chemicals they found in airplane hangars and in the back of airplanes, like barium and aluminum oxide. Ask them why they were viciously targeted by the government and received numerous death threats for speaking out about what they saw. Of course, if you get all your information from CIA-controlled outlets like Wikipedia and CNN, you’re probably used to taking things at face value and feel more comfortable when you have the government spoonfeeding your opinions to you
Set List: Black Helicopters [0:00] Oppress Yourself [3:33] You Did Not Exist [8:21] Love Will Ruin Your Mind [15:08] Free State [18:57] Sphere of Influence [21:56] Yellow Sun [26:27] Pray for the Living [29:03] Ann the Word [31:50] Armageddon [37:01] Searchlight (instrumental version) [47:17]
Old UK head living in Australia. New to me but on Repeat...Fkn Top Band. Saw Sonic Y , Mudhoney, Throwing Muses, Pixies on early forages in the UK ,all Fantastic...Did Lungfish play much/in UK..?
That bass amp was loud as hell everywhere but where the bassist was standing. And Fugazi closed the night. Awesome show. Lungfish were always intensely great.
self defence family is heavily influenced by this band i can see. I really like em, been jammin theyre stuff these days. Good music to listen to when you want to relax or rest yor mind to. Love the hypnotic aspect of their sound.
I left part of a comment but want to add the rest of it. Is there a way to contact you aside from the comments? I am doing an audio art documentary project that is about the Baltimore and DC punk scenes. I need your help and I want to help you. Let me know if there is a way to send you a long letter about this. Thank you for all of this. I'm blown away by this channel. It's like a scrapbook from my life. Let me know how I can contact you. I'm going to try and post it again, but it might be too long or you have comment moderation on. this for real. Not a bot or BS. I owned the record store DCCD which had free shows. All of the people in the scene hung out there. This is gonna be cool. Thanks. Wolfgang
I thought the guy in front of the guitarist was on some amazing psychedelics but then at the 37:20 point a woman shows up on stage left doing the same thing. So, it's all been rehearsed which kind of takes away the magic. Still, GREAT show.

This was the first time I saw Lungfish and was the moment I GOT it.

fugazi went on after lungfish, tall order
45:49 - Higgs' amazing interpretive pantomime... yep.
I think they might just be...
The best band ever!
Lungfish are easily one of the best ever. Easily.
So glad I was able to see this band in the last years of its existence
I'm very jealous of that fact. If there was one band I could see, it would be this one.
That was a great show. Great night. Thank you LF and Fugazi for existing.
Stellar show!
It was amazing to bear witness to these bands on their home turfz.
So jealous
this gets me through a lot of days at work, Thanks.
I was at this show. Words cannot express how rad this was.
Love it
Thank you for posting this! So amazing! Wish I would have discovered them earlier in life!!!
I only found them a couple of years ago and i love them. They're like an arty Fugazi and i wish i had found them when i was younger.
thank you much for the gift.
this is incredible
Oh my god, thank you so much for uploading the whole set!!
I think they recorded at the Hour Haus in B'more if memory serves me, unbelievable band.

I NEED them to play again
I've missed many chances to see this band live over the years. I suck. But at least I've seen Higgs solo a few times.
Thank you
bow down to pain.
i saw them in missoula mt at the college around '94. mind blowing to me, but the crowd wasn't into it back then.
Thanx BBP
In the style of the great Krautrock masters ... Neu and Can et al.

@ 15:09 Love will ruin your mind!
22:20 Lisa Papineau (Big Sir)?!
It certainly looks like it's her.

LOUCURA.. LIKE LIKE LIKE
Muito foda
What’s the instrument Higgs uses at 8:40 and 12:28?

Do they just have guy stand on stage with them and do interpretive movements to the music or what's with that dude to the left of the guitar a
Fuck this is so fucking good
what type of guitar is he playing. sounds good.
Univox Hi Flier :)
+Ashley Youett Almost! It looks more like a Mosrite Ventures V series "no logo"
Sorry Morgan, Ashley is right. That's a Phase 3 Univox Hi-Flier.
I'm about 7 years late, but in addition to the Univox Hi-Flyer, the amp is a Traynor TS-200
@32:20
wait another guy commented roughly the same story are you the same guy
@@andyz9793 did we ever figure out where the smoke came from
@@ihopenot4931 oh I just realized it could be mist from him like spitting out the water he has?
What is that guy doing in front of the guitarist? It's looks like he is just standing there.
Not really an observant one, are you?
I believe it's called "Armageddon." Played live, but never on an official release.
“Music that is spoiled by recording...”
I'm here because the euthanized 90 year-old lungfish triggered a memory of seeing these guys play Green Bay in 1995. Great show.
I was there and it changed my life
