While a bit darker I think your guitar tone is actually better then the original. 30" scale is just pure tone awesomeness. I have an AL 30" 7 string agile (pictured in my avatar). Those 30" guitars are tone monsters. I think it's a bit of a secret because not many guitar players that play low tuning really use 30" scale guitars.The other secret are stone/agate guitar picks. They are very chirpy while polished but take a 3mm to 5mm stone pick, remove a tiny bit of the polish with the right sand paper and you get great punch and tone. Combine 30" and stone picks for tonal bliss.
