I really like Drop A on a seven string because the chord voicings can get huge and logical. However, I only like Drop A for brutal death metal or slam -- otherwise the low A is too muddy for most other genres (I'm not really into djent). I think Keith Merrow also thought the Low A was too muddy for his ear, so he tuned UP to Drop A# on his sevens. I like that.
You can get one for 200$. Look up the Ibanez GRG7221M GIO 7-String. I ordered a Kiesel back in February and I'll be getting it next month. But during that time i wanted to get used to the 7 string and have something to practice on. And that ibanez specifically was perfect for practice and honestly felt amazing for a 200$ guitar

I use BEADGbBe or AEADGbBe; it’s like playing standard or drop D only with an extra high strong
