Hey dave, I have hooked it up with enclosed hdmi to arc port on my fire tv, I cannot balance the volume, turn up for voices, then background effects start and I am frantically lowering the volume, does not matter what effect I choose... Have you noticed this?
@@davebanter Thanks for responding, using HDMI arc input to fire tv controls both tv and soundbar which is great... I do have an optical for my PVR audio output to my receiver, so will switch it out to soundbar for testing If it works better will have to convince the wife to use yet another remote...🤣 , no settings in the tv look related to sound volumes and looking at Amazon reviews the issue seems spotty , but those who do have it agree it is horrible...
I noticed a similar issue with some shows when I got my soundbar. However, if you press the EQ button on the sound bar remote, it will let you adjust dialog and music volume independently. I just adjusted dialog up one notch and it seems to be right. I would imagine had I reduced the music down one notch it would have had a similar effect on equalizing the volume.
@@jjohnston9802 Yeah tried all of that, finally turned off the fake surround and set it to dialogue , works much better for sound evening out and still sounds way better than the tv speakers, The only Amazon branded product I have ever bought that I don't like... But it will do

Hmm I haven't noticed that issue, look into the TV sound settings 1st if that doesn't change anything try an optical cable for testing

Why would we buy a generic soundbar for this price? It doesn't have Alexa or Fire Tv Stick integrated... it doen't worth the money imho.
