    Another campground to add to the list. Purchased a pop up last Oct pre-retirement. This is the stuff dreams are made of.

    Looks like a great site. I love your UA-cam site. You 3 are very informative. You all should work for the campsite the way you sell it so well. DILLON ROCKS!!

    Wow! Looks and sounds wonderful! All jokes aside we plan on visiting after watching this video. You guys really took advantage of being in one spot long term by getting out and sight seeing! We agree with Dylan on looking at the snow from the inside out! LOL… great video thanks for sharing! Paul & Magen

    I used to live in Waynesville in the 90's and passed by this park many times but never stayed there. Yeah, winter in the mountains is rough, especially if you must ride your motorcycle to work in the snow, like I did. We retired and went FT about 6 years ago. We stayed at the neighboring Pride CG for a few days our first year FT. Sadly, I remember vividly this stay because our dog had a seizure and passed away while we were there. But this park was nicely maintained and friendly too. We're retired on a limited income, so could never afford the $1,300 - $1,400 a month to stay at the Creekwood Farm RV Park, and at 68, I doubt they would get sufficient work out of us as work campers to pay for our stay.
    We built a large solar system on our coach which allows us to run everything in our RV the same as if we were plugged into a power pole at an RV park, including our A/C 24/7 if needed, so we usually prefer to boondock if possible. We mostly boondock out west, but happen to be in Shelby, NC now, visiting family. Since boondocking sites in this area are pretty rare we found an RV park that is letting us stay in a spacious non-hook-up site, with dump station and trash pick-up privileges for only $100/mo., saving us $500/mo. off their usual rates. Life is good.
    Hope y'all are still doing well. Chip & Cindy

    Hey guys was just wondering where you are from? Do you miss home? Love your videos! Look these up, cathederal caverns, walls of jericho alabama, the disimals, they are in this area. Camping is cheap. Also monsanto mountain state park, lake guntersville, space and rocket center etc. Since you seem to be mostly in the south, just thought i would mention these. Take care.

    Really nice review, but I have a question. Google maps shows lumber yard or chip mill nearby, can you hear it in the park?

    • @JouppiOutdoors
      @JouppiOutdoors  2 роки тому

      Yes you can hear it from time to time but it’s not obnoxiously loud. Thanks for watching!

    • @michaeleverett1524
      @michaeleverett1524 2 роки тому

      @@JouppiOutdoors I would assume that the creek side lots would never hear that, correct?

    • @JouppiOutdoors
      @JouppiOutdoors  2 роки тому

      It’s less noticeable back on the creek, but sometimes you will hear it. Like I said though, it’s not an obnoxious noise.

    Looks nice. Two questions. 1. What would you say the typical pleasant weather season is for someone just doing a 5-7 day stay? 2. Is it mostly seasonal long term folks ? We are just vacationing short stays. Thx

    • @JouppiOutdoors
      @JouppiOutdoors  2 роки тому

      It is very nice! There are only a very few limited sites with long term folks, however, you would never know it because they are required to keep their site presentable and are limited on what can be left outside and in view. Spring is a great time to visit as the weather is still cool and the summer camping season hasn’t started so the park is not jam packed. Fall is obviously a beautiful time as well, but definitely a lot busier than the spring. Thanks for watching!

    How did you decide where to do the workamping? Did you want to stay in North Carolina specifically? How did you decide which specific RV park to work at? Had you stayed at Creekwood Farms before? Is there a particular web site you found the work kamping opportunity?

    • @JouppiOutdoors
      @JouppiOutdoors  2 роки тому

      All great questions! We knew we wanted to spend Fall and Winter in NC. There are a few Workamping Facebook groups that employers post in looking for workers. We had never stayed at Creekwood Farm before, but liked the park, management, and other workers so much that we extended our stay through Spring and most of the Summer!
