I just drove up there last Saturday. There wasn't much to see but the waterfalls and overlooks on the Blue Ridge Parkway were great.
Going there in 1979 or 80' as an 14 or 15 year old with my mom, dad and older sister was still one of my favorite vacations to this day.
I wish I could have seen the park. 😔 I love the old west and there isn't anything like this.
It is in shambles now. I was a gunfighter there off and on from 2001-2014.
