While it's too early to judge Laf's career trajectory, I have to defend his rookie season somewhat. He came into the year with a very abbreviated training camp, no preseason, not having played meaningful hockey in long time, so he was going to need a while to adjust to the speed of the NHL. He also was stuck in the bottom 6 for most of the year, so he wasn't getting the minutes or quality linemates he needed to produce. In his last 25 games he had 13 points (7 pts in his last 9 games), so he was starting to trend upward.

Kovalchuk will get in for international play and nhl career, it's the HHoF not NHLHoF. Good idea adding the 1st ballot though, definitely applies here.
Good list and some insightful commentary. I think Stamkos is a surefire HOFer. In the future I'll suggest you make two HOF tiers: '1st ballot HOFer' and 'HOFer'. Players like Crosby, Ovi, Kane are clear 1st ballot HOFers; having two HOF tiers will allow you to separate them from players like Stamkos.
Great video Rob, love to see your face! I think you underestimate how much easier the Hockey Hall of Fame is than places like the Baseball Hall of Fame. So whether or not guys like Stamkos or Mackinnon would make it in a different Hall of Fame, I think they are both bound to make it in hockey. However, if OEL does bounce back, he will be a great mentor to Hughes and provide more consistency on the blueline and on the PP. Conor Garland is a stud, and will compliment the top 6 tremendously.
