Thanks MUCH, Mark and Edwardo! Nothing like hearing a saw scream and a bus motor moan! The mill is RIGHT now with the new blade and mandrel work. And that bus motor has to be Spot On the way it runs clean and clears out. GOT to be right! I need to go down the road and listen to the other 6-71 some. He's got a stack of logs again so he'll be making sawdust, betcha! So YALL have a FINE week and GBWYall and ALL yall!
It’s great to see my old Montana plates hanging up on the wall there in PA. Gotta represent on one of my favorite channels on UA-cam. Keep up the great work guys!
Mark, that log is making that bus motor grunt and groan. Stay safe and blessings to you and yours. Can't wait to see a covering over Eddie winter is coming.
Impressive video as usual it will be great when the building is finished and that sawdust pile is spot on with the makeshift hanging piece.again thanks.
HEY MARK you have to bring the headlock out enough to saw the bark edge off you can't always get all on the 1ST cut sometimes 2 OR 3 times that's just the way it is 12 30 2021
Thanks for the opinion as to deck preservative. I have seen a few others that say the same thing and am starting to use it also. I lost a good bit of decking to weather and that factory made preservative coating. So l'm testing the used oil coating for a while. John
Thank you Mark thank you Eddie and if there was a third guy thank him enjoy the show you guys have a great weekend that casket need to be just a little bit wider
Mark the way your sawmill cuts lumber it cutting like butter with a hot knife. I would love to see more sawed lumber into planks. God bless you both Mark and Eddie and by all means stay safe. The way Eddie picks up the sawed lumber it looks like light as a feather we my call you Atlas or Hercule.
HI MARK U ☺ talking trailer decking boards don't last they are not going 2 if U seal them or use treated lumber alot of wood like pine doesn't like water it rots quick if it's not sealed 😉OMG 6 15 2O22
Some so called hardwoods are very soft, the first one that comes to mind is yellow poplar, or tulip tree liriodendron tuplipfera . I used to work in the lumber industry in Utah and Mississippi a long time ago.
You know, balsa is a hardwood - it's not about hardness it's about cellular structure. There's also a very hard softwood although my forestry instructor couldn't remember it (!). The hardwood/softwood thing pre-dates microscopes being discovered. Hardwoods have tracheids (sp?), large tubular cells running the length of the tree - clearly visible in oak (English?).
Something mesmerizing watching that carriage going back and forth. If we could only smell that fresh cut lumber smell. Really enjoy all your videos. When is next shop one coming?
Another great video! I just had asked a couple of weeks ago if y'all had sold the Meadows Mill and now its gone on to a new home! Congratulations on y'all of your success!
Love you sawing the bigger logs! Why are the teeth worn out already? I thought the 56" was new? Yes, construction must continue so that the best offloaded on UA-cam is out of the elements.
Unfortunately here in Maryland if you don't turn in your old tags they send you a fine for $2500 uninsured motorist fee with a daily add on until returned.
@@markgalicic7788 If you have a police report it's ok but if you don't turn in expired tags they fine you. Sometimes they even refuse to give you new tags until the old ones are returned and fines paid. Bureaucracy at it's finest.
I didn't realize spruce was such a challenging wood to mill. I'm from the east coast of Canada origionally and we go through a ton of spruce. No sap pocket in this one that i noticed anyway. Great video guys!! Keep up the good work. 👍#MAGA
i just think you and t.h.e. eddie horvath are tops.there are all kinds of sawmill videos on here but i haven't been interested since i ran across the two of you.
Mark - Thanks to you and Eddie for providing good, clean entertainment. I enjoy it so much. Unlike some of the other people I like to watch on YT, your videos are at the perfect duration. So many others create a 1-hour - 1-1/2 hour video. I can't watch a video that long , I don't care what the subject matter! I love the fact that the bus engine purrs like a lion and grunts under load through some of the harder logs. It is absolutely awesome. Can't wait to see the building finished and see Eddie all dried-in! LOL Keep up the great work. - Steve in Florida
You guys keep safe, what no PENNSYLVANIA plats yet? I didn’t think to look if you put a link to the Texan with the firearms channel, if not maybe post it.
I don’t know if my comment got in but when it starts to get colder do you have to use starting fluid on the bus motor to get it started? Or do you have a block heater for it?
I'm happy for Eddie, soon dry and inside whoo eee. HOLY COW 88 AND SLINGING BOARDS IN THE RAIN, Does he have an S on his chest. Ha ha 🤠, keep up the great job. See you later Lee.
Good comment about staying aware and not becoming complacent

just a yard tree.

I agree with Eddy . Spruce has its challenges . For me with a band saw White pine is the worst .
any knoty log can be a challenge.
Love you sawing the bigger logs! Why are the teeth worn out already? I thought the 56" was new? Yes, construction must continue so that the best offloaded on UA-cam is out of the elements.
it was a used blade that was rehammered but the teeth needed replaced. we are going to saw more telephone poles this week for the building.
I will need to send a very old U.K. plate from the 60s. I’m the second comment! Never been this early.
thanks.
Thank you for the video.I am really interested in the kiln project.Who are you using for advice with the kiln? Who helped you get started sawing?
we are working with Nyle kilns to give us info on how to set it up & run it . Eddie & I started the mill 28 years ago , just us two.
That first log was nice. Must have been some tree
yes a big ole spruce.
Howdy, from another viewer, from Missouri. (Pronounced "Misery!")

Hi dad and Mark!
Hi Melissa!
Will the rest of the building continue the shed roofline, or are you building it as a gable, extending out toward the parking area?
the same roof line.

Mark question about the bus motor When it starts to get colder
Sorry about that when it starts to get cold do you have to use starting fluid on the bus motor to get it running? Or do you have a block heater on it?
@@rudycarlson511 we have a block heater but it starts up easy .

Hi Guys, Could you show us how you change the teeth on your saw please
after we saw up the utility poles I do need to change out the teeth. good idea.
Hey mark! What’s the name of your sawmill? And does it only run on weekends or just you and the great Eddie run it on weekends ??
the sawmill is made by Edmiston , we saw mostly on the weekend.
What is done with all the bulk that's piled up?
cut up for firewood.
What is the “decking” used for?
Jack in Missouri
this is for a trailer
Boards bolted to top of equipment trailers.
Mark,Is spruce as bad as hemlock to saw?
I think it's worse because it's so stringy & all of the sap.
Do you have Hawaii plate yet?
no sir.
Where do y'all get your logs from?
we get them from a tree service.
What's the address where we can send license plates ?
email me at markgalicic@verizon.net.
