This place will be swarming with foreign tourists in the next 5-10 years, I bet. It's amazingly beautiful there and isn't touristy and built up like Sapa. Doesn't seem to intrude upon nature like Sapa...yet. Amazing find as I've watched a lot of vloggers but haven't seen anyone do a proper video of this place until you. You should also check out Pu Luong and Da Lat (way more touristy, but lots to do in that area).
Nice mate! I don’t mind a bit of tourism :) but some spots are better with not so many ;p I’m glad you enjoyed them videos 😁
Amazing video loved seeing some of rural Vietnam stunning scenery
Glad you enjoyed it mate :) it was a good little trip that day 😁 cheers
Mai Châu is flippin well nice glad you got up there mate soooo much nicer than the touristy regions of Vietnam.
You got it! Thanks for watching again 🤟🏽
EllisWR anh đang ở VN hãy đi đến đây nó thật đẹp và thú vị
Nice one Chai ! This is definitely worth a visit.
Thanks mate :D It's really a nice place indeed. I'd loved to show you more of the village but I couldn’t get enough footage in during daylight :P Anyway I'm glad you enjoyed it 🏆 Cheers!
Absolutely beautiful Mai Chau
Thanks Thyda :D I hope you're well ❤️
Love from Maichau
Very nice area , enjoyed the homestay & a different side of Vietnam 😃👌🙏👋👍
Cheers mate :) haha watching a few Chai Travel videos I see ;) I’m glad you still enjoy them 🏆 have a great afternoon

Amazing place beautiful and very clean woww woww 😍 👌 ❤️ xx
Thanks! It does :D it's so well looked after 😍 Thanks again mate
Absolutely beautiful location there champs and clearly so well looked after by the locals there. Those views of the waterfalls and surrounding areas stunning and the drone work really does complement it all so well. You have certainly mastered the art. I bet that meal was super tasty too as it looked delicious. It's always good experimenting and trying the authentic food of a foreign country. I just love rural SE Asia having spent plenty of time in non tourist areas in Thailand myself indulging in the local culture there. It is a wonderful experience I recommend to all whether it be in Vietnam or, for that matter any of the other SE Asian countries. Love this video. Cheers guys. 🍻🤩
Thanks Streven! Man talking about drone shots. I lost most of my drone shots from Vietnam also from this video… long story. But luckily I still have most of the other footage;) thanks again champ Steven 🏆
Amazing views! Another great one. I missed out on this when I was last in Vietnam. Gives me a reason to go back.
Yo Will! Haha, yeah there are so many places. 3 month wouldn’t be enough :P But luckily we're able to go back sometime :D Cheers Will!
That really the Northwest of Vietnam where the Thái and Mường ethnic occupy valleys along Đà and Mã rivers, cultivate on paddle fields and the Hmong and Dzao ethnic live on the hillside, plant forest and rice on terrace fields You can name some places like Mộc châu, Pù Luông, Tú Lệ, Mù Căng Chải ect... and that is a new world of food and festvals
Thanks for sharing!! Fabulous!! Following your Chanel 🎉🎉🎉👍😍
Thanks ❤️ I’m glad you do so 🤗🤗
👍😇😇😇🥳
The scenery absolutely stunning! 6:40 lol
Thanks mate :p haha have a good evening
I’m living through y’all always ❤
That’s great to hear 😍 thanks! I hope you enjoy the video we make :)
Nice to meet you today at Terminal 21. All the best
Thanks for saying hi mate :D Have an amazing time in Hua Hin.
Bun Cha is my favourite Vietnamese dish with the sauce and fresh salads. 😊
Mine too! And something called Ban Xeo. Haha also very nice :p Thanks Nick
@@Chai_Travel Don't forget com tam, bun thit nuong, bo kho, banh cuon, nem nuong, bun bo Hue, etc. :)
So glad you went here. It was on my radar back in the day but this tour company I went to for Halong Bay said they are working on roads etc so entry is very difficult. Thinking back I should have just gone.....next time I suppose but glad you are there to give me a glimpse.
Haha we were too! It's definitely developed already for tourism but it had a good balance :D You'll love it there mate. Thanks again champ 🏆
The dishes @ 5:0 is super healthy common food unlike other South East Asian food that are more tasty but unhealthy. The outback is so beautiful.
bro no way this place is heaven
surrounded by mountain and landscape like who wouldnt want to live there
Remote ofcuz but if the weather isnt hot like rainforest I'd love to live there
Heaven brother 😍 Thanks
Prachtige video! Echt genoten.
Thanks friend Chai for the new episode showing us the beauties of northern Vietnam, its landscapes and its gastronomy, amazing. What a luxury to walk through that great country. I ask you, being a Communist country, how is the tourist doing, particularly from the West (USA). 👍🥂
Thanks mate. There is no problem being a tourist here. I've met a lot of Americans on this trip and everyone has been treated very well. Communism is more a name. It feels more like capitalism here ;) overall people experience freedom here.
@@Chai_Travel I'm a Vietnamese who has lived in Germany since 1980. Now I fly frequently between Vietnam and Germany because I have my own business in Germany and branch in Vietnam. When I was in Vietnam I never felt like a communist country here. Vietnam is free to do business and is not subject to as many laws or regulations as in Germany or the US. Vietnam has the fewest police officers compared to other Southeast Asian countries and Asia in general. Almost no police are present on the roads, tourist places, hotels, offices except for the traffic police on the streets. Vietnam has only 145K policemen for 99 million people while Thailand has more than 400K policemen for 60 million people. But Vietnam has a very safe life.
What month did you film this video , great video by the way :)
Thanks! This was in August 2023 :)
Weren't her house feature in the movie: A Tourist's Guide to Love? Look really like the village, that were in the movie.
Ow that very well could be. I’m not sure though haha. It’s a beautiful village:)
Would be awesome to do, shame as an Australian we cannot legally ride a motorbike in Vietnam:( at least we have videos like yours.
I’m sorry to hear that but I’m glad you could enjoy this video 😊🏆 have a great day
@@Chai_Travel 100% great video
Thanks mate :) I’m glad you think so! 🏆
Looks amazing.
Name of Homestay.? Would like to stay there..
Thanks! That would be great if you do so :)
It's called: Nha Tan - Mai Chau Homestay and Tours
www.booking.com/Share-zV3sge6
Thank you for showing a unique and beautiful part of Vietnam! I am wondering, how do you rent a scooter as a foreigner please?
Your welcome 🤗
There are plenty of rental places in town. It’s only a few dollars a day but you do need to pay deposit (I think to remember around 80dollars)
With this being said you also need to check the local laws and check with your insurance to see if they cover you in case you get in an accident
@@Chai_Travel many thanks!
@@Chai_Travel sorry can I please ask if you needed an international or temp Vietnamese drivers license?
What time of year is this? Also, do you have a link to booking at the homestay ?
In August :) The homestay we’ve stayed in: Nhà Tân- Mai Chau Homestay. I should have added it in the description already 🙏 I hope it helps :)
Thank you much! We are planning out trip and I would love to visit that special place!
Any chance to know the location of the hotspring? Can't find it when googling the name you put in the video. Let me know!
Hi there, thanks for watching 😁 the hot spring at this location; maps.app.goo.gl/eAemyFJCtuQBEb956?g_st=ic
Hopefully you’ll be able to make it over there :) after 4:30pm is the best time to go I reckon
@@Chai_Travel ah perfect, was already planning to take that road from Moc Chau to Mai Chau. I'll be there in 3 weeks! Cheers
Perfect! Exiting times are content up! 😃
i always like northern vietnam despite to the fact that the vietnamese always think negatively against thai.
i beg to differ. as a northern vietnamese i love everything about thailand, and other vietnamese people who i know have zero problem w Thailand too. your comment is quite an overgeneralization.
one of your best videos, absolutely love this area, do you have contact info for the homestay? We would like to book with this lovely family ❤
Thanks mate! You'll be able to book it online but you may want to check it out with a tour agent so you can tell them what you're looking for and arrange a few more things for you to your preferences;
www.booking.com/Share-dpYrtZ
There is an agent next to this hotel how can book it for you if you like to see an agent; goo.gl/maps/Qio79P4CnMvBVryP8
poor countryside, nothing to eat
😇
:p nothing to eat? Maybe during war? It’s a great place to be right now
@@Chai_Travel Thailand number 1, not communist, I dare not go to Vietnam. Vietnam is the poorest in Asia, no freedom, many killers, be careful.
🥶
I disagree
Why have to write "not like Sapa"?
Because it’s different. Why the the question? 😊
@@Chai_Travel it is different because Sapa now is a city, a commercial tourist attraction, then Mai Chau gonna be like this cause of those stupid people like you. Step away from my country and stop comparing locations for no point!
That’s quite rude of you to say. I’m sorry I’ve offended you in anyway 🙏
Up to you, not saying anything right or wrong, you are doing inappropriate things that affect and lead people ,affect and create conflict in the country that you are making money. What goes around, comes around!
