He is so good. Really underappreciated in my opinion. First time I saw them his playing really made an impression. After that I just expected it from him.
The primary reason this version of "Few and Far Between" is so vastly superior to the version they did on Letterman is the two men in the rhythm section.
I’m guessing the guitarist was a big reason why she left. His belligerent, over the top histrionics were not fitting for the songs. He may have been an integral part of the songwriting, but he seemed to push his ego out there to try to rise up to Natalie’s level in the band. And dude, that wasn’t happening.
Now I remember why I was so obsessed with her then. God damn she just had IT.
She IS stunning.
Talent, style and beauty, missing in today’s music.
Today’s poor kids are living in the desert, musically.
What the hell happened to music? This was so good. Real people singing, real songs. I will always love 10,000 Maniacs!
Man they could bring it live!
Natalie simply has a vocal sound all her own !!!###
We were musically spoiled before 2000!
Their 1992-ish performances were so tight. Their horn section was so good. And, as always, the drummer, Augustnyak, giving 200%.

30 years later and still in love with Natalie. She just kicks a**!!!
She is from my hometown, Jamestown NY.

And dancing around in that skirt 😍
Wow it's March 1 2023 this was March 1 1993 I'm still digging the music and classy lady 😍😍
Agree!
The most Goosebump inspiring & Mezmerizing voice ever .
Great f’n mix! Horns and bass especially.
She’s a beauty and she glows. All around her is light!
Wow, that was amazing! They were a great band. I still like the new incarnation but nowhere near as good without Rob and Nat.
I was working in a record for some time when Wishing Chair was released. We played the heck out of it.
OMG, Awaken me with your Presence.
MAGNIFICENT ❤
Class act and musically orgasmic
A LIST 🎶
Maybe the best voice in last 50 years
I’ve been to see Natalie Merchant in concert about a dozen times back in the 1990s ♥️♥️♥️
she is stunning
Lord have mercy
Man! What a performance! Not only does Natalie have the best voice in the biz, but this band is incredible as is the drummer and bass player!!!
And the orchestra is supper!
I love this music
Remember Fort Meyers Beach? You were in front of us singing this song. I said you have hit if you were famous!! She said maybe.😅
Oh my god did I have an XXXL crush on her.
Who else had a mad crush on Natalie? 😍
2:17 Look at me like this, as you know, and take me to the stars! What woman! Amazing voice, beautiful smile and stunning dance on stage.
They have a new lead singer now

How come Jerry still looks the same now?
And how are there not more views? I was there.
Was this before or after her MTV unplugged?
@@stephenjohn4837 before. Their Unplugged performance was recorded in April.
These are the days.......
When I was amazed by this wonderful Lady & her Band.
10000 Maniacs is the best MTV unplugged for me by far!!!
Those eyes!
They cleaned her up nice for this performance.
Sweet, feminine, talented and decent. Always dressed like a lady.
Unlike Taylor Swift, a real talent.

You mean her now-deceased collaborator she was dancing in front of, at the end ?
