Using your technique I was able to replace a broken shoe... So thanks! One change I made was I gave up on using a blade and used my dremel to cut out the openings
Andrew, that may be true, but it looks like he used a SIMILAR coil spring to what was standard in his window, and he made it work (had to attach the spring holder clip which original equipment did not have), am I correct?
Hi Andrew, If we were to change our supply, we would maintain a certain level of discontinued parts for future maintenance/purchase requirements. Should the part be discontinued and stock depleted, we can usually recommend a good replacement. They would need to be our windows, however. Hope this helps.
Duh Mike: the spring coil cant be removed from an uncut channel, its to narrow, so he cut a wider notch so he could remove the old springs- thats what im facing now...
Hi because of you I fixed my window ,Thank you
You saved a bunch of money. Thanks!

thanks a lot for informative instructions .
brakaner happy to help!
Why dont the window manufacturing co. Plan for this?
Where do I get the new spring kit
Where can I buy spiral tilt balance pivot shoe? Can you give me a website link?
Your best option is to visit our find a dealer page: www.kohltech.com/dealer-finder/
nice
The springs are proprietary, so when they decide not to make the springs any more the only fix are new windows...

@@dartellomega6573 Hi, I found the correct springs from Swisco in the USA. Bought a few to try, then bought enough as spares to outlast the windows 🙂

@@haipengxu This is not my trade. I just had constant force springs from Swisco for my windows, but they are worth searching for other parts.

@@dartellomega6573 Exactly! I'm trying to figure out how to go about it myself, I have three windows I have to work on. I don't want to mess them up.
