What had better Fatalities, MK9 or X?
I got to say 9 because I really liked smokes fatalities
I'm gonna have to say X because they're more gruesome, and the references were amazing
X has cooler fatalities but 9s are better

Mkx, more creative, gruesome and violent fatalities. And fatalities that makes sense happen different from mk9 that has some absurdly impossible fatalities
I would just like to remind everybody that they didn't pick D'Vorah because they don't have to worry about demonetization, they picked D'Vorah because nobody likes her and she would be the perfect target for these fatality videos.

No demonetization is the main issue. Its just of all the characters D'Vorah works best (the dislike is one of those reasons)
The reason Alien has a Baraka fatality is because is used Baraka as a host
I love the Xenomorph base finish where you can see each host have their own chestburster

for future reference: if you go up on the d-pad three times after selecting a character it’ll hide the cursor, and then press y for a “neutral” version of the character who doesn’t have any modified body parts like goro’s glowing back. except for triborg, in which case you play as cyber sub zero.
You could select an alternate costume for them, for characters like Triborg it’ll do the player 2 color. So technically you can make triborg look like another Generic gray cyber ninja, if you have cyber sub zero chosen
The problem with the fake cyber subzero it selects you as a random variation if you start the round

If you press dpad up 3 times than y it gives cyber subzero but it randomizes your variation if the match starts

Seriously. I could understand on some of their other rankings that I disagreed with, but I was shocked that they didn't like Ermac's fatalities.

I really like the second Sub-Zero fatality. The way Sub-Zero jumps on her and the camera angle shows him like he is superior than his opponent and finally he stomps her neck in that disrespectfully way, it's so good imo
I gotta say, I think y'all have horrible takes sometimes but these videos are entertaining. Thanks for all the effort

I think it’s fun to see some wacky takes when it comes to lists like this. Makes the video feel different and unpredictable that way

Honestly, I think Kenshi's fatality where he lifts his opponent in the air by their tendons is the best MK fatality of all time. It manages to be brutal and comedic while also showcasing the character's abilities. To me it's also one of the most visceral fatalities, but without needing to stray into gross-out territory like all the ones involving vomit and organs.
I feel like X went too far into the gross and not far enough into the fun and campy. A lot of them are just squishy organs and vomit.
I agree, I don't really know how to explain it but these ones feel much more cruel and torturous to the point of indulgence, whereas 9 keeps them simple and 11 goes for creative finales. I think mk1 has a good balance of quick and painful, while still funny and ending with cool ass poses.
The NRS games want to be taken seriously so badly.
I agree. That's why I absolutely love MK11 and, from what we've seen so far, MK1. They're leaning a lot more into the goofy side.
Yeah X just seems too yucky tbh but with 11 they brought back some of the campiness so I think 11 has the superior fatalities

The problem imo is that not enough of these characters show off their powers.
In case you haven’t made the video yet, MKX’s Kustom Kombat has a modifier where it eliminates most brutality requirements, you could totally knock ‘em out in a day, if you’ve unlocked them all!

After Johnny said “Here’s Johnny” he should have ripped the opponent fully in half
I remember on Halloween my local community did a Mortal Kombat X tournament, and when finals ended (Johnny Cage ditto between me and someone else) the winner did the face bash fatality and when we shook hands we shook in the same rhythm as cage bashing the head in
Been a while since ive seen these fatalities and that one brought that memory back

they were preformed on devorah but sound like other characters, and if you listen they even mention on takedas fatality using jason. very confused about it

Hinestly, Predators best fatality is his base win animation where he takes your skull as a trophy.
I think with a lot of these fatalities they all suffer from having great startups or outcomes but then lack one of the two dependent on the fatality so you always either have slow starts or lackluster outcomes

D'Vorah exploded in Kung Jin's second fatality because the dragon head of Jin's bow can breathe fire and shoot fireballs. So he used that to blow her up

The Kenshi fatality is straight A-tier. Its so damn painful and cruel looking. Just being suspended in the air by the rib cage, only connected by nerves while screaming in agony.
Kind of surprised they didn't go wtih a chest burster fatality with the alien.
I think that was aliens win animation was the chestburster. Kinda like how predator takes your skull as a trophy in its win animation

MKX missed the best opportunity for Predator to do his classic skinning someone alive... Such a shame because his fatalities are trash.
They technically DID have Predator skinning his opponents alive… in some of his Brutalities.

For the puppet master one for kenshi I think that it was inspired by the nightmare of elm street where one of the characters suffers the same fate

For Both Predator and Alien, they should’ve had their non-fatality victory animations as one of their fatalities. For Predator I’d keep the blaster one, and replace the other one with the trophy room animation, and then for Alien I’d have the Chest Burst victory animation as a fatality instead of the twin jaw fatality.

Kitana and Ermac in D tier is insane to me. While Alien is in A tier😅 I think you guys should consider the character and what they're capabilities are. Some of these Mortal fatalities are really good when you CONSIDER they're MORTAL/HUMAN . Kitana is an Assassin her fatalities are very fitting for her, Sonya is a military women her fatalities very fitting for her. What would yall do differently? Yall should have guidelines on what makes each fatality an S,A,B,C,D TIER. Consider what the character traits are, rather they're mortal, god, sorcery, magic, Assassin. Their fatal should fit them. Like for example Subzero first fatality anyone can pretty much do rip someone in half. While his second one is unique to him like only subzero can do that but you guys like the first one more than the second one 😅😅😅

The reason she exploded was because the top part of his arrow is a dragon breath tool which produces fire. So we when he stuffs it into are guts the pressure of the heat expends causing a mini explosion.
Most MK Finishers are C-Tier or "Kitana-Tier" for me.
The problem is that they're too similar at the end of the day: every other guy just goes "I'mma rip you in half now" like Juggernaut in Deadpool 2. Or their head comes off or blows up. Sometimes there are extra steps, but the body's left mostly the same with few unique Finishers. Not much kreativity or kool factor.
So I disagree with a lot of these placements. As a Kotal player, his aren't the best, but I do like the Tight Squeeze. Not Kitana-Tier. C or B is fair.
Alien got placed too high imo. Killer Queen just ripped them in half and the other just put a hole in their face, like Kano and D'Vorah and so many others did, just worse.
(Those two had decent Finishers, at least, but I agree D'Vorah's 2nd could be better.)
Leatherface's weren't great either.
Cassie's 2nd is s fun one, and I'd put it in A just for how well-designed and hilarious that social media page is. But she doesn't even finish them! D:

As were Bo' Rai Cho's: I like how the one blows you up and the other literally makes you puke your guts out. Definitely deserved a higher Tier for uniqueness.
And I agree with Tremor being in S. His Brutalities are definitely S-Tier too. He's also got the most in the game, I believe.
Jax's T-Wrecks might be the most iconic and embarassing in the game, and deserves an S. But I agree the rib one is meh.
Didn't like Sub-Zero's 1st cuz he just ripped them in half with extra steps, though it gets one point for presentation.
Bed of Ice is more unique. Just wonder how he doesn't skewer his own feet lmao.
And Ermac's were actually good. I guess his 2nd is a lot like Goro's, but his first is good: I'd put it in A-Tier.

The problem with most of these is that they go too hard for gore, yes that is the point of a fatality but it would be way better to use the character's abilities in more creative ways. Mk11 and 1 are much better examples in my opinion

While X had more gore-hungry fatalities and better graphics, X doesn't have the iconic leg beatdown from Mortal Kombat 9. Making this game unplayable lol
