Enjoy and learn watching your videos. There are two things you say that are especially helpful and not everyone else does. You said that they are ‘growing fast’, then you added “about one pitcher a month”. Thank you! Yes I didn’t know what growing fast meant. The other thing is you specifically mentioned the temperature instead of just saying warm, hot, cold. Hot or cold depends on where you live and I am appreciative that you are more specific. Hot here is 95, where in other locations it’s 85. Thank you.

Can you grow Heliamphora's well in a house with no additional heating or misting/fogging systems, plus would the house provide the best temperature ranges for them. My room at the moment variates between 21c at night to 26c in the day, but will be about 25c+ at night and 30c+ during the day later in the summer.

wow Brad. A pitcher a month? I am lucky to see a pitcher in 3-4 months.

Yeah, about that. Might be a bit longer but not much. Having two or three growth points really speeds it up. Seems like like one are always emerging.

What do you feed your carnivorous plants since presumably don't get as many insects in the greenhouse as they would outside?

Also, a weird thing happened on my Sarr. purp ssp purp, it made a heliamphora shaped juvenile pitcher (since I just got it from Urban Bog, which is closing, and it has been cloudy, probably causing the plant to get a stunted growth, which looks like a heli juvenile.

Haha funny, maybe a root disturbance made the Sarrs pitcher go funny?!? Not sure. I know the urban bog is closing, sad stuff. I'm getting my last order from them tomorrow. Not even really sure what is coming. A bunch of nepenthes and a VFTs

I found the helis similar to Sarrs to repot, same sort of roots. Totally different potting mix though

I use the same for both, sphagnum and perlite. They both grow excellent for me in that medium, for about 1-2 years now (not exactly 24 months, somewhere in between)

How long would it take for the juvenile helis to start producing adult pitchers? Thanks!

Do you find the Heli's are easy to repot or difficult? I found it easy after all the internet kept saying they were hard to repot.

I just got a H.minor and it was growing in pure live sphagnum moss. it looks OK should I leave it be or repot it?

I always wanted to get one heli for myself, but from what I read on the internet, I was always dicouraged due to it's high growing requests... Where did you get all those? did you propagate them all by yourself? I like them a lot, but I don't have controlled environment, so I don't think I'll ever try one... I grow all my orchids outside during spring, summer and warmer part of autumn... I am not sure heliamphoras could manage that... This year, we had pretty cool and rainy summer, lots of humidity in the air, but depending on natural fluctuations wouldn't be enough... Last year, we had hot dry summer and heliamphora would die even during the transport... what do you think? can they be grown outside greenhouse with success?
