I have got it with a fine nib and its behaviour changes according to the fluidity of the ink. With Viole Blue Graf von Faber C. ( dry ink ) it writes like an extrafine, with the Aubergine De Atramentis ( very fluid ) it writes like a medium.
Another great review. I’ve got a couple of Diamond 580s and a few Ecos and they’re all utterly reliable. They never dry out while stored and always feel good while writing.
Aw heck, I need these new gorgeous models.... and I have too many TWSBIs already. Thanks for the video - entertaining & informative as usual. [PS: the blue film on the wrench is just a protective film for manufacturing & not really any other reason, so feel free to peel it off to enjoy the shiny beauty underneath]
Beautiful pen, but too flashy for me. I love 580s, they have the best steel medium nib I've ever tried (their is very nice too). Nice review, thank you.
Not happy with twsbi EF nibs. Just too dry for me, but I have it to write in my hobonichi books and it works great for that. I have this pen in a stub and love it. I keep kwz brown pink in this pen;) lovely pen!
With the TWSBI 580 "II", can you remove and replace the nib/feed unit, as you could be the other 580 version? (Assuming you don't mind if the replacement is not rose-gold plated). The barrel and section on the "II" feel like one unit, that doesn't want to be screwed-apart like you could do with the original of you wanted to replace nib/feed units.
ive had a bad experience with the eco because ive have to grease it up consistantly the turning knob has been very troublesome where the piston rod warped. if you have a way older diamond 580 - 30 - etc (your first one) has there been any trouble with the mechanism where you would say "this is a very pronounced problem"..... 'the function' not the cracking - thats a given...
I have far too many TWSBIs (love all the colors) and have never had an issue. I suggest you contact TWSBI directly for a replacement. And cracking is a long ago problem from their early days.
Thank you very much for your amazing review I love it, this is the second time that your reviews helped me to decide about my next birthday gift.

Thank you for the thorough review. Always a joy to watch you write and scribble. ☺️ TWSBI is such a fun and solid brand.

I'm here too so it's still we young lady. Thank you for the enthusiasm and the video.
I bought this pen and the Vac700R a few weeks ago! I loveeee these pens. They write so smoothly.
You only make me love this pen even more. Thanks for having fun with your video.
I've got this exact pen myself and I love it!

Diplomat aero nibs are even better!
Always love your reviews, hope you are doing well!
I will buy the mini one, but I might buy this one too! Haha I have several rose gold/white fountain pens.
Thanks for your video! From Toronto.
must be nice to actually go to a physical brick and mortar..... I weep in joyous envy!
Great intro!! You've been at this for a while.. but you are still innovating. Love that!

Very nice pen

Such a nice handwriting you... 🙂
Nice pen, great review. Thanks!
How do I know if I have model
1 or 2? Have it in B. Gorgeous pen, have a RG white Eco to match it.
We're so glad you love the pen, Azizah!
Great review, thanks!

I have this pen, only con is that the grip is super slippery once it get some sweat😢

Does this Diamond 580 carry the same steel nib like the Eco line
besides the rose gold colour?
They both have steel nibs but I believe the 580 nib is larger than the Eco/Go.
This or Ystudio Desk Fountain Pen? Only 30 euros difference...
I hadn't realized the nib was rose gold, too. Nuts. I do not need another TWSBI. Really, I don't. Sigh.
Absolutely not a suggestion, but simply asking, have you ever done a video of your entire F.P. collection?
...seeing those lined did something to me and gave me that thought to wonder.
Great review! Got dangerously close to accidentally doodling a swastika there in the intro hahaha!
And.. I've been playing more with EF's myself. Formerly only broads or stubs.. weird!
