- Welcome to my first whole house clean with me in the new house! I got a messy house after all the holiday fun so todays cleaning motivation is packed with cleaning from all over the whole house. I did not get to Jordin's room because she cleaned most of it alone but I will get in there soon because it needs some of my help.lol We also had to toss the bean bags and I am not happy about it. Conner peed on them and although they are washable the inside fluff would have been ruined ;/
About half way through I open up about where I am right now mentally and have a chat. Im doing great but I wanted to share. These feelings happen and thats ok but we still have to push forward and appreciate where we are. Thanks for visiting today! xoxo - SHAWNA

I know it’s much easier to say than to do but try to enjoy each and every moment. None of us know what tomorrow will bring and there’s no point in worrying about what hasn’t happened yet. I’m trying to be uplifting. I hope that it’s coming across like that. You will never be a burden to people that love you. Praying for you.

I have been in your shoes with the laundry situation. At one time, we had large plastic containers full of clean laundry that needed to be put away. I work a ton, and I had such a hard time ever getting caught up. I felt overwhelmed and defeated. We finally got it all caught up, and I got my three daughters each their own hamper, and I put their name on them. At the end of the week, I wash each of their loads of laundry separately. While their load is washing, I disinfect their hamper with a disinfectant wipe, and by the time their laundry is dry, so is the hamper, and I put their now clean clothes back into it. Then it is their responsibility to put all their laundry away. Because we do it once a week, there's not a ton, and they can do it. Then I wash and put away what we've dirtied for the week. The girls putting their laundry away helped me out SO much! I think once you get into a groove, you'll figure it out :). You've got this! Seeing your home just makes me happy. I'm so happy for y'all!
Sitting with your feelings and allowing yourself to experience them instead of numbing or distracting is soooooo hard. You're doing great. Keep your head up.

I've been watching your videos since your inthe house, take your time you will have your house like you want and no explanations for anything that you do. Shawna your inner thoughts in this video are very relatable. I found out about a rare condition I had in my mind 20s and I wrestled with all those thought of what will my life be now and rethinking my past decisions and crying and saying "why God." It is a never ending progression of acceptance that I don't think ever ends but once you sit with your thoughts longer you will come out stronger on the other side. It probably took me several years before I accepted that I needed a walker when I left the house etc. that stuff will get easier with time. I also have a progressive disease and it is scary to think you'll wake up one day not being able to see or able to walk but I'm just taking it day by day and if I need to be in a wheelchair in the future I'm prepared for that but I think you need to think through every outcome before you gain acceptance! Hang in there with the process and you'd be surprised what you figure out ways around things. I can probably clean my whole house just rolling around in an office chair. So you'll find ways to accommodate yourself and yes it will look different but different can be a very good thing and a great thing to teach your kids to accept that a person can do just what you can but in a different way ❤

Sending love for your struggles too ❤️ I did finally make the call this week to apply and begin using a white seeing cane for the visually impaired because many others say learn all that you can and like you said try to think it through and make adjustments as needed because it will be an adaptive process. I keep telling my self I’m gonna bedazzle my cane lol there are many new advancements with wheels chairs to in regards to sizing and weights so the modern accommodations of tools to help us will be nice in this decade and ongoing.

Hey lady. First of all, I love you and the videos that you make for us. Second, you are not a "Debbie Downer". Believe it or not, I have a problem with my eyes and I don't know what the future holds for me as well. You keep on going and living and doing the things you enjoy doing. YOU matter, and the choices you are making, for you and your family do matter. I go through the same feelings as well, and I am quite a bit older than you. I don't know if I am going to wake up and not have sight, but I have to keep on going. This is my life and I refuse to let my eye condition take over. I will do whatever it takes to live another 25 - 30 years with sight. My sight might be limited, but I will have sight for sure. You will have those days that you are down, but the secret is not to let it take over. You have a beautiful family and a new house to enjoy, so don't let it weigh you down completely. Love you, girl, continue to be you, and continue to enjoy life. Again, thank you for sharing your life with us in your videos.

I’m hoping that you will get some peace dealing with your eye condition l will pray for you. I have two eye conditions and plenty of surgeries in both eyes l can’t count but just keep praying and pushing forward take it slow one day at a time.❤

I totally understand what you are saying. It’s all a juggling act, especially being a mother. I have three kids with disabilities along with my husband and my problems too. Sometimes it feels one thing is more in focus than the others, but it doesn’t mean that the other things are less important. I liked what you said about you have to stay on top of things or it will become a problem again.

Or install wall cabinets right above the heater, then add a shallow or normal depth countertop.
New here.. just curious if you plan on locking up all that liquid? Not to sure how old your kids are or their friends, but we were all young before and know how that goes :/
