The only issue I have with the video is the fact that you stated the newest edition of Cyberpunk, Cyberpunk Red, takes place in 2077, which is entirely untrue. It is set in between Cyberpunk 2020 and Cyberpunk 2077. To be precise the rulebook in Cyberpunk Red states that the year is 2045, and in which Night City is recovering due to the dirty nuke being set off in Arasaka Tower during the 4th corporate war, most of North America is very mad maxy the moment you step foot outside of any major city. That is all, keep up the great work and I look forward to your next review!

Cyberpunk RED is set in 2045. The game adaptation is set in 2077. RED is technically bridge, between CP2020 with Firestorm and CP 2077, throwing most of the stuff from CP v3.0.

Came up with a Cyberpunk Job once where the players have to track down a gang werewolf larping furries attacking/eating/other shit to people in the park. Considering all the bio augmentation and enhancements, it is very believable that furries in Cyberpunk would go full human-animal hybrid. Gave one guy nightmares from just pitching the idea.
In one of the Chromebook supplements they show a bunch of examples of that. They aren't actually hybrids, but people using cybernetics to mimic human-animal hybrids. Even things like re-scuplting your skull to be a wolf man, implanted teeth/claws (metal or real), implanted fur (real or synthetic), etc. I have a character with working (vat-grown real) cat ears and metal retractable claws and a tail.

Swap meteors for tungsten rods. 8:19 about spot on 9:10 metaverse 13:38 actually, swap media for youtuber. Independent UA-camrs and websites are the only real source of information that I trust when it comes to events.
A friend had this book as a kid, I dont think either of us really knew what a role playing game was but I was obsessed with the art n the lore, just the pure imagination of it all fascinated me.
CP2020 was my group's goto game of choice. We had something called "The Cyberpunk Prophecies." As time went on, we started noticing the tech in the back of the book was coming true. Not all of it, nor on time, but within 2 years. Freaked us out. Also, best gun play rules. Worse hacking rules. Seriously, fuck the hacking rules.

I know it's been a loong ass while but with the big coof fucking up everyone's plans today was finally the day we finally got to play. and god DAMN is the system brutal. First encounter of the first session already ended with a player dead, though seeing as it was a new system to them since our group almost exclusively plays D&D 5e like the filthy casuals we are it was to be expected. Nontheless we had a great time, I can't remember a time when the boys and I laughed so hard. 10/10 would recommend.

I know this is a year old, but just a quick clarification: Cyberpunk RED doesn't actually take place during the 2070s, but actually the 2040s in post-nuked Night City.
Lifepath a con?! What?! Life path is the best part about the whole game. It changes your character from a collection of stats to an actual fleshed out character. The greatest sessions I've ever run were based using the characters life path. And to say that a lot of the Path won't get used that's all depending on the GM. Cyberpunk was the 1st game to widely use a background generating system like the life path. It stopped the deer in headlights looks that Players would give you when you asked them about who their character was and their background. TLDR The cyberpunk life path helps put the RP back into this RPG world.
Wish you covered the setting and world more like you said you would at the beginning instead of focusing in on the classes. From a player focus it makes sense, but I watched yesterday, and I don't remember any talk about mechanics mich outside the character creation. The mention of the scream sheet adventures is nice.

Ahhhh. I have never played a tabletop rpg game. The most I have done in the past is poke around with character creation on D&D Beyond. However a few weeks ago I for whatever reason started digging around for game systems and settings. As a fan of dark and I guess edgy settings, the very first thing I stubbed my toe into was Fatal. And man I wish it was good. The main issue for me is the stupid amount of work it would be to even make a character. And even now I have my sight on solo gaming. So it would be utterly stupid to waste time on that crap. BUT. I really liked Berserk. The horrific setting, brutal and unforgiving. No shits given about the worst of subject matters. And FATAL, I guess I feel it got a hint of that same setting air. With a fair bit of work and overhauling, I could see FATAL as a game I could love. ... Although I doubt its something I would be willing to play with anything but a very close lover/wife or something.
I love this rpg, you should try a video on "Mekton zeta" or "All flesh must be eaten.". They are great rpgs and Mekton zeta was also by the guy behind cyberpunk 2020.
1) Now it'd be nice to see a little video on the after to explain if Red has improved upon 2020, or if their tabletop was as buggy as their videogame. 2) If you were to ever do something like this again I'd recommend reviewing Rifts, which is like if Fallout f----- Elder Scrolls and had a bipolor baby that grew up on steroids. 3) I'd love to hear your voice as the gamemaster for any tabletop rpg session, or failing that a player.

absolute best ttrpg for combat encounters, you can fuck over the enemies, and they will 100% fuck you if they get the chance.
