I remember a few years ago, a German tv channel used this song to promote the upcoming airing of the movie Brokeback Mountain, which is one of my favorite movies. The combination of this song and the scenes from Brokeback Mountain were absolutely magical. While you wouldn’t expect their style would match, it was mesmerizing. Both, the movie and the song, are about true, raw, painful, pure, deep, helpless love. I’ve never been touched by a tv spot like this ever before and never again.
Als ich wirklich klein war, habe ich die Bewerbung gesehen und mich in den Song verliebt. Ich wusste nicht mehr genau wie er sich angehört hat, nur dieses schöne Gefühl. Nach zehn Jahren ist mir diese Erinnerung wieder eingefallen und ich habe danach gesucht. Eines meiner Lieblingslieder jetzt. :)

This is one of the best songs ever made, it still hits almost 15 years later and it's so powerful. This is a great music video as it's simple and gets to the point.

My goodness Razorlight I cannot even begin to tell you how much his song means to me. When this song came out I was going through the most strangest and unsettling time in my life, I was 22 and I had been detained under the mental health act as I had a psychotic breakdown and was diagnosed with psychosis. I remember laying on my bed on the psych ward with all this strange and upsetting stuff going on in my head, hallucinations and voices and my twin sis had given me an mp3 player and as I'd always loved Razorlight she' d put the album on there for me.I fell in love with this song it was a lighthouse in my storm I would play it over and over and just feel so calm. Thank you Razorlight for this song it literally comforted me though madness. I will always love this song. A forever fan xx

Fahreed Anwari I think it was when I fucked up in front of my mother's boss and got her in a bit of trouble. She got me a temporary job in her department at a food factory. She's the senior manager in charge of food hygiene and her boss is the managing director who only visits the site once or twice every month. When he came in, in an effort to get to know me, he requested I'd take him around the factory and demonstrate the work I'd been doing.
I don't know whether it was accidental carelessness or deliberate, but I went into the factory with him whilst chewing gum and he noticed. Sounds trivial, but that's a major non conformity in a food factory and especially bad when you're the technical manager's son. For some reason he blamed her because I didn't follow the procedure.
I later went up to his office and apologised and explained that I was fully aware of the rules and that it was just a slip up. Everything's fine now other than the fact that he thinks I'm a fucking idiot.
Naw, this is what I listen to when I want to walk away from the rest of humanity because they have lost their hearts and I feel that the rest of the world does not deserve my love anymore...

This song and this video reminds me of us. Sometimes we just look at each other and I see trust and great compassion and love in her face, in her eyes. I think she sees the same in my face, in my eyes and in my smile. No matter how stressfull our work task is, no matter how much negative emotions and unfair treatment are brought to us by other people. I know she will be there and I will be there. We will stay together and support each other.
