I disagree with Barty Crouch Jr being on this list, sure he was by far the most devious Death Eater but that is not an indication of his magical power. I think Corban Yaxley was better fitted for that spot. Crouch Jr should've been either should have replaced Greyback (who wasn't an official Death Eater anyways) or been just behind him in sixth spot
Nice video, although there is an error at about 4:20 about Bellatrix Lestrange, she wasn't from the Lestrange family, she got that name when married to Rodolphus Lestrange, she was born into the Black family!
Crouch JR was definitely a wasted talent of magic. Despite being crazy and evil, you can tell he would have thrived in a teaching atmosphere. As you can tell while having a hidden and sinister agenda while being under the guise of Mad Eye Moody, he did enjoy teaching people about things. Despite his evil nature, human nature also flourishes in it's natural state, so despite being a death eater, he probably enjoyed teaching.
@@tenzoarcade8026 no doubt. It makes you wonder if he was watching out for the kids because he was in disguise, or if he actually was a good person on the inside. We will never know 🤷♂️

@@JW-jd6sn well we know his growing hatred for his father was a big reason for him dropping everything to become a deatheater and go against him, so id say if barty crouch sr and his mom put together a great childhood for him he wouldve been a good person
Let's not forget about Evan Rosier. While moody captured most death eater's without killing them, he had to kill Evan because he could not stop him otherwise. Evan seriously injured Moody and considering this to be the prime of Moody's magical prowess that's quite a feat.
True. The problem is that he was already deceased by the start of the story, being killed by Aurors sometime either immediately prior to or after the fall of Voldemort at Godric's Hollow, and thus, there is not enough info on his character to really make an informed judgement compared to other more well known Death Eaters who took part in the Second Great Wizarding War.
@@timvanhoeck7018 True. But based on that description though, he was deffo top 4 most powerful Death-Eathers alongside Bellatrix, Dolohov and Snape. Thank god for Moody killing him, else the good side would have had a problem during the Battle of Hogwarts (Although Kingsley would most likely have swept the floor with him, considering he held Voldemort at bay during the battles in the sky while protecting Hermione) and according to Karkaroff, Rosier was one of Voldemort most important supporters (Which says it all really, since so are Malfoy, Barty Crouch, Dolohov and Lestrange).
@@nickdentoom1173 Well, we don't technically know that for certain, but I definitely am of the opinion that Rosier was indeed one of Voldemort's most powerful and loyal supporters while alive. Just wish we could have gotten a bit more info (maybe even a flashback sequence) to give us a better idea of his powers and abilities.
Perhaps the only true follower of Voldemort. He died for the cause, unlike the others that allowed themselves to be captured or even worse, fled. Azkaban is for the defeated.
Angelia Clanton he didn't though. Alan made everyone love snape. The movies didn't show how nasty snape was and that one scene in prisoner where he shields the trio from lupin with his body never had me guessing. You don't protect your masters enemy like that
@@stethespaniard2 so what did you exactly want him to do, run and let lupin eat them? At this stage voldemort still needed Harry so Snape was still doing his job
James Wilson yeah. He needed Harry. Not Ron or hermione but he instinctively stretched to protect them all. I never once believed snape was really with voldemort
@@stethespaniard2 youre 100% right, rickman made us sympathize with snape a little too much. I liked his perfornance as snape but he wasnt quite enough of an asshole

I know im forgetting someone but yeah top ten would be better can really round out the list beyond the elite few..
If we judge by achievements, Barty Crouch Jr. is probably the most efficient Death Eater. He was the only one who managed to capture and take Harry to Voldemort, making the re-born of this master possible. He was able to escape Azkaban, break the rule of the Imperius curse, take out Mad-eye Moody, and most of all, he was able to deceive Dumbledore for an entire year. His plan was masterful, he made a great impersonation of Moody and he was perfectly able to improvize and keep the situation under control, even if unexpected coincidences threatened his plans (like his father showing up, or Harry having the Marauder's map). If not for his last mistake after the tournament, he would have remained the most dangerous servant of Voldemort.
@@samuel_kennedy I have read all of the books several times (purchasing most of them at the midnight release events) and I loved them all However, I have also seen all the movies...and loved them all, as well. And frankly they could have NOT made it happen like that in the movie, JK could have said "That is a big NOPE." But it did and she didn't and it shows that Snape was still working for the Order in a subtle way. He does a LOT of things in the series that look terribly pro-Voldy to the observer, but are actually quite delicately pro-Order. I think it was a cool way to sum that up in one scene.
exactly, and bellatrix also doesnt come from the lestrange family, shes a black who married into the lestrange. Just something else that annoyed me about it
Timeless Grass I don’t think so, I bet Voldemort would have killed him before they even got up, even if they did Voldemort easily took down Mgonigal, Shaklebolt and Slughorn, and that was with Harry’s love protection nullifying all his spells.
It would have been more interesting if snape would have successfully landed a sectumsempra on voldemort cuz voldemort wouldn't have known about that spell and snape is the only one who knows the countercurse
yeah sure it would have been awesome. Snape was extremely powerful and it was time to reveal Harry the truth. He should not let Voldemort kill him so easilly. It was only a matter of luck that Harry was already there. In different case Harry would not know the truth and he would not be able to finish Voldemort
I think Barty Crouch Jr's capability was particularly impressive, as he has spent the thirteen ears before goblet of fire living under the imperious curse in his father's house. In that time he wouldn't have had the ability to perform spells or improve his skills in any way.
Crouch Jr was indeed a very powerful wizard. He managed to achieve 12 out of 12 O.W.L.’s. He was a gifted Ravenclaw who was trusted with a time turner which allowed him (just like Hermoine) to attend all of his classes
I absolutely love your Harry Potter videos and the theories you publish on your channel. However, for this video I would have chosen the top 5 a little bit diffrently. You forgot to mention Rosier (even though he only fought in the first wizarding war, he was quite powerful), the Lestrange brothers (often forgotten, but they still spent quite some time in Azkaban for their horrid deeds) and Mulciber (who was described by Lily Evans as being very sadistic even in his Hogwarts days).
Kyle Pask bro let me tell you any follower of lord voldemort is called a death eater it is not necessary to have a dark mark.........having a dark mark just means they are a little more valued than others
@@amritapayal it's stated in one of the books "The werewolf was allowed to wear death eater robes when they wanted to use him" or something along those lines, which implies that he was an ally but not actually a death eater.
@@tenzintenzin5745 Death Eaters cant fly. Thats a movie inclusion. In the books Voldemort and Snape are the only wizards to have the ability to fly unassisted by a magical object.
I'm so glad that Snape was number one and that the main reason seems to have been the fact that Voldemort couldn't get into his thoughts. He was for sure put into the right House! Tricking even Voldemort in the end!
I’m glad you mentioned Petigrew even if he was an honourable mention, the man doesn’t get enough credit despite being an animagus and outplaying and framing Sirius Black with an explosion that tore apart a street killing 12 muggles.
@@mdn19912 it was a ritual requiring certain things...So technically in theory anyone could perform it, as long as they had the right ingredients (flesh, bone, blood...). Plus he had "infant" Voldemort helping him. They even specified that "any enemy would do" but Voldemort wanted Harry. Petigrew literally fits the "weak wanting protection, as well as fame and glory." Notable sure, but he was weak comparatively and a sniveling coward as well.
You definetly forgot about Corban Yaxley. He was a powerful duelist, had Pius Thicknesse under his imperius for one year and was given many important solo missions and was basically controlling the Ministry of Magic for voldemort.
I really enjoy your rankings retrospectivelly. I was expecting Malfoy Sr. to reach this list, since he and of course Snape were the ones who were not afraid of Mrs. Bellatrix.
bruh he may be a coward but he cast the killing curse with SOMEONE ELSE's wand and stayed in his animagus form for 13 goddamn years and then blew up 12 muggles and a whole street with ONE CURSE before sirius could react. Pettigrew is +average wizard at the least imo. And if ur gonna talk abt brains then he is cunning af
Enkuush T Skill doesn't mean power, and cunning doesn't mean only intelligence. It is also fear and cowardice, take Bellatrix for an example being the opposite. :p
Your sleeping on Peter he was an animagi at 15 and arguably managed to become more powerful than wizards such as James potter. If he wasn’t a coward he would have been extremely talented and dangerous in my opinion.
@@willfirmstone890 Only an Animagi because of the help of his friends, from what I can tell we also can't rule out the fact that even with help he didn't fail at it lots. Besides that good point (Also just gonna say that mentality and all should be considered in making the list.) C:
In his first year he had the knowledge of someone in his last year, he created his first spells when he was a teenager, he has a gift for the dark arts, he is good in everything that involves magic in general, he is the best potionist according to Dumbledore, the best occlumentist of the world and can fly. The death eaters who were suspicious of him said nothing because they were afraid of him. All this at 31 years old. He is a prodigy. If he had reached Dumbledore's age he would be fucking invincible.
I could agree with all the characters in the top 5 except Greyback! I would rank a lot of Deatheaters higher then him; Lucius Malfoy for example! He wasn‘t Voldemort‘s right hand man for decades only due to his wealth, name or influence (others I would rank higher too as Greyback: Avery, Macnair, Lestrange brothers, Rookwood, Rosier, Yaxley, Mulciber, Nott, Rowle, Travers, Karkaroff)
Harry Potter Theory I really liked that you put snape at the number 1 spot because in the movie they portray him as he is not that powerful even though he is
What about Rookwood? He killed many people in that explosion after Dumbledore got rid of all the dementors. He even killed Fred Weasley, and the boy who was fanboying over Harry in ginnys grade
I feel like people constantly undervalue Dolohov. Other than Bella, he's definitely Voldie's best wand. He put down some real powerful wizards and it took dueling champ Flitwick to beat him.
Snape is by far the strongest in my opinion , he could have defeated McGonagall in that duel, he deflected her spells onto the carrows, I also think he was the only person Bellatrix was really wary of, not only because of how powerful he is but she always distrusted him, and in the end she was right, also the only reason Molly Weasley defeated Bellatrix was because Bellatrix allowed her arrogance to get the better of her in their duel, and the fact that she didn't have her own wand either 🐍
Molly simply outsmarted bellatrix, that's all. And it was already shown that Bella got serious about fighting molly after their first contact. Also wand doesnt matter, Bellatrix literally died by a petrificus totalus(or stupefy) aimed at her heart.
Agreed. I think she's worse bc, other than Voldemort, she actually thinks of herself as a good person and fails to recognize that she's only doing evil shit.
i see where ur coming from, but no i 100% disagree. a lot of people only say this because we've all had that one teacher in high-school who we loathed beyond anything else ... but very few (if any) of us have had a serial-killer murder our parents!
Here is the list of like the top wizards ever in HP just in case someone needed it or was wonder :) 1. DumbleDore- Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry 2. Voldemort/Dark Lord- Killed Harry Potters parents and MANY others, was a past student of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry 3. Professor Snape/Severus Snape- Professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry teaching potions and Defense against the Dark Arts, Death eater (or past death eater/supporter of voldemort) 4. Bellatrix Lestrange- Part of the Black Family, Death Eater, VERY loyal supporter of Lord Voldemort, Sister of Narcissa Malfoy or Narcissa Black
Not sure I would change any of your rankings. I do know that Barty Crouch jr. escaped Azkaban with the assistance of his Mum and Dad (who was a wee bit of a high ranking Ministry official).
Barty Crouch Jr should be at the top of the list. This guy spent years in Azkaban before he escaped, only to them spend over a decade under the impervious curse. Years that should have weakened his power immensely. Yet still he was able to defeat Mad Eye, who was considered one of the greatest Aurora of all time. He was able fool Dumbledore, arguably the most powerful wizard, who had long been friends with Mad Eye. He succeeded in using magic to charm the Triwizard cup, an insanely powerful ancient magical object, into spitting out an extra name. He then turned that ancient magical object into a port key. He succeeded flawlessly in bringing the Dark Lord back into corporeal form. The guy is so underrated that it's criminal.
In the Minerva McGonagall vs Severus Snape duel, it's Snape that kills the two deatheaters stood behind him, he deflects Mcgonagalls spell straight at them.
0:22 LMAO🤣 I don't know why this still is so funny to me. It's like they all just saw something that even Voldemort is like, "Wow. . . That's kinda f@cked up. Not gunna lie" - Can someone remind me why Fenrir looked like he was constantly in between turning when Lupin stayed human until the full moon
Tatsusama I think it’s because greyback attacks for pleasure, while Lupin tries to hide the fact that he is a werewolf. Therefore, greyback’s features turned more wolf like much like Voldemort when he created his horcruxes. Anyways that’s just my theory it might not be right but hopefully it explains this a bit?
i thought there was a scene where 2/3 death eaters were also flying like snape was, i think it was around Dudley's home. meaning snape and voldemort arent the only two who can fly.
It took ron and nevilles combined efforts to stop greyback So ge was defeted by two not so great duelists that were children, doesn't seem so powerful to me and he's not a death eather
Good video, though admittedly when I saw the title I was expecting to have a meltdown at Lucius being at number one and Dolohov not making the top 5. So i was very happy watching it with Dolohov getting his due and Lucius not being in the top 5 because he's a great character as opposed to being a great death eater, which he really wasnt. Only one i might include would be Pettigrew because he killed all those muggles with that crater explosion spell and then was instrumental in resurrecting Voldemort but i can't quibble too much with Greyback, even though he wasn't officially a death eater.
Almeida's Army well at least he’s an honourable mention, most fans would call him the least powerful in the series, in the Harry Potter top trump games he has lower magic than filch.
Wormtail was not a powerful wizard anyone with a wand could make an explosion that could kill 12 muggles and and anyone could of followed the steps of the ritual to bring Voldemort back and yes being an animagus so young is impressive but I think that has more to do with James, Sirius and Lupin helping him and teaching him more than anything else, I mean he wasn't smart every teacher at Hogwarts knew so and said so he missed a question on how to identify a werewolf after being friends and running around with one for years, he barely passed Hogwarts and again probably more to do with James, Sirius and Lupin helping him, he was a coward he never showed himself to be a good duelist or that he was gifted in any particular sort of magic the only thing he showed he was good at was being a follower and following directions if not for that he probably wouldn't of even graduated Hogwarts and would of never been know or made any name for himself he probably would of ended up homeless and begging on the corner for scrapes
BTW, you said that Bellatrix was from the Lestrange family. She is actually in the family of Black, but she married Rebastian Lestrange and took his last name.
Mads Frandsen oh, yeah that’s right. Rebastian was her cousin or brother in law I think. I got it mixed up with that moment when Bellatrix, Rodholphus, Rebastian and Karkarov went to Azkaban in 14 years or something like that.
1. Bella Lestrange ( have beaten Moody, escaped from Dumpledore ) 2. Dolohow (Killed Lupin and Prewitts, only Flitwick was able to beat him) 3. Barty Crouch Jr ( Was able to fool Dumbledore, have beaten Moody ) 4. Regulus Black ( fooled the Dark Lord) 5. Snape ( fooled the dark Lord) 6. Rodolphus Lestrange ( Bellatrix wont choose a weak partner)
Bella defeated past-prime Moody though, which is also something to be taken into consideration and the only reason she was able to escape from Dumbledore was because of Voldemort. It took five Death-Eaters and Dolohov to take down the Prewetts (Which means they were more powerful than Dolohov, cuz he couldn't do it on his own). Lupin was also past his prime and wasn't fit anymore. Flitwick was a master duelist.
I would totally agree with that list. I know it's splitting hairs to say Fenrir wasn't a death eater, but we all know he openly supported Voldemort so I think he deserves to be on the list. I don't necessarily agree with the honorable mentions. I'm sure Malfoy possesses a certain amount of magical ability as he was once a prefect, but I don't know that he really does much of anything except intimidate people as he's never had an actual job. Pettigrew, I think, is a weak wizard. When reading the books, I've wondered how he even got into Hogwarts (aside from the fact that he was just simply magical).
I don't think that bellatrix was one of the "5" greatest wizards and witches in hp universe. First of all Sirius is greatly underrated in this video. Being able to escape Azkaban by himself and becoming an animagus before the age of 18, he is undoubtedly one of the most powerful wizards ever... And the fact that he was "killed" by Bellatrix was for being outnumbered in a long fight and also kinda careless during the fight (since he was with his only family left : harry). Also Molly didn't just defeat bellatrix cause she didnt take her srsly... Not even close. Molly at that fight was a symbol that no power, no matter how great or evil, can overcome motherhood and the pure love it represents(ancient magic as said by voldermort). Also she is O-P. Furthermore it has been said that snape did hold back against minerva ofc but that doesn't mean he can overcome her. Snape is my fav character in hp universe but he was actually stunned when the all powerful animagus, transfiguration teacher and brilliant witch minerva is stepped up to fight him. Even Dumbledore is humbled when she complements him. She is probably if not the most powerful witch, at least one of the 3 most powerful witches alive. She deserves to be taken srlsly. But all in all great list.
Bellatrix came from the Black family. She married into the Lestrange family. Both families being notorious for their long history of muggle-hatred and pure-blood supremacy.
Honestly, I feel Nagini also has an argument to be on this list. We know that she is (or at least was) human from Crimes of Grindelwald, and we also know that she’s been close to Tom/Voldemort for a very long time. idk tho that’s just my opinion, probably doesn’t even count as a death-eater
The Harry Potter game was rumored to be shown at E3 but E3 was cancelled so possibly the top 5 or 10 things like creatures or just anything that will be in the Harry Potter game or what you want to be in the game, it's not really a Harry Potter game but more of a video game installment in the Harry Potter Universe
I Will have loved that see Barty Crouch jr Together with Bellatrix in Harry Potter and the order of Phoenix i hate the dementors Barty deserved that be with and join the mysteydepartementet
I can't say that I agree with this list. Grayback for one wasn't a death eater, and therefore shouldn't be on this list at all. Also I feel as if you are counting out many based on what we see in the books. Lucious should absolutely be up there. Remember that he was highly ranked, trusted and powerful enough that Voldemort trusted him with a part of his own soul. And even after he found out that Lucious had destroyed the diary for his own gain he was still put in charge of all the death eaters in the ministry when they tried to get the prophecy. I don't think we ever really see his actual power in the books and in my mind he absolutely deserves to be up there.
Because Lucious is filthy rich. But he isnt that smart. I mean... he tried to cast the killing curse on Harry in the middle of Hogwarts. Wtf. Draco would have been a better fighter as well if his father were one. (Teaching your heir the way of power and so on), but his son was nothing more than I imagine mini-Lucious acted like.
Come on please lucius is a jerk and not so powerful, he was beaten from a group of teenagers, he wasn’t even able to plan a strategy to get the prophecy
Since Greyback wasn't technically a Death Eater, I consider Lucius Malfoy to be the fifth most powerful Death Eater with Peter at 6th. I think Augustus Rockwood was stronger than Yaxley though, Rockwood did manage to kill a Weasley.
Wasnt sirius the first to break out of azkaban?, i mean he enacted his own plan single handedly, whereas barty was swaped with his dying mum by his dad so i dont really think barty "escaped". More like the first wizard sprung lol.
@@Nisa4444-h1v that is true, he did blow up a whole street, perhaps with bombada maxima, but im still not sure he should be on this list. Only with the instructions of the dark lord he was able to resurect him. And yes he did hide pretty cowardly for 12 years as a rat, which he was aldo only able to do, because he had more powerful and more intelligent friends.
But he also killed Remus Lupin and the Prewetts. And was killed by a dueling master, flitwick is known to have been a champion in dueling so no big surprises here.
6:18 snape and Voldemort aren’t the only ones who can fly, the death eaters and Auroras during the battle in the department of mysteries can all fly as well as the death eaters at the start of the half blood prince
Fenrir wasn’t a death eater and I would’ve put nagini in there, also don’t agree with your #1 snape wasn’t fully committed to being a death eater he joined because he thought that’s where he fit in soon as the opportunity came he switched sides for love, death eater switch sides for love? And that’s the most powerful one? Don’t think so.
Snape had the Dark Mark so he qualifies as a Death Eater. Snape was fascinated by the Dark Arts from an early age; the reason for being hated by the likes of James Potter. He was a committed Death Eater until he realized that Voldemort was after the Potters and killed Lily. That's when he acted as a spy for Dumbledore, at a great personal risk. You're underestimating Snape. He's a master Occlumens and Legilimens. He was able to trick Voldemort into thinking that he was loyal to him. Let's not forget that Voldemort was one of the greatest Legilimens himself. Voldemort regarded him as one of his most loyal followers. Snape mentions this in his conversation with Narcissa and Bellatrix that he knew Voldemort's plans which he doesn't normally share with his followers. He was an expert when it comes to Potion making, brewing many difficult potions. He also invented many spells like Sectumsempra, which is one of the most dangerous spells. When George's ear was cut off by Sectumsempra, Molly wasn't able to regrow it despite her efforts. Yet, when Harry nearly killed Draco with the same spell, Snape was able to save his life and heal his wounds. This just shows his knowledge in spells. As a wizard, he was only behind the likes of Dumbledore and Voldemort. All this by the age of 38. If he lived as long as Dumbledore, we can only imagine how powerful he would become with the years of experience and knowledge.
One thing about Dolohoff you forgot to mention… He met his end at the hands of my favourite Hogwarts professor… Filius Flitwick. Everyone always forgets to mention that.
Fluffy Greyfoot no he was pretty powerful, he was an animagus, he brought Voldemort back (with help) and one of the first things we hear about him is that he killed TWELVE muggles in an explosion that blew up a street, all whilst faking his death, and both framing and outsmarting Sirius Black, so I’d say he’s pretty powerful.
Okay I have a theory about barty crouch Jr. What if he was originally put under the imperius curse during the first war (I mean, come on it would have been a major coups for them to have the son of the head of magical law enforcement in their power and also a convenient spy) and he came out of it before his trial but no one listened or believed him, especially not his so-called father. By the time he was "rescued" from Azkaban could you blame him for joining the other side and getting some of his own back on his father? Everyone already believed he was a death eater so why not truly become one? Just a thought
Lucius Malfoy is very underrated as well he held his own for while against Harry and Sirius and was very powerful as he was 2nd in command for a long time
I dont see how snape gets the top spot. Dont get me wrong I love his charcater but no way in hell is he more powerful than bellatrix lestrange nee black. She was his most trusted and feared for a reason. Granted hes a great spy, fooling voldermort is no easy feat, he didnt fool bellatrix though, she even says to her sister not to trust him and that and I quote "The Dark Lord is mistaken" when narcissa questions her mistrust.
i feel like bellatrix is viewed as more dangerous/powerful than snape because she was reckless and would’ve done anything to prove her loyalty to voldermort (not saying she isn’t powerful, she definitely is) just my opinion tho
Guys... He was able to become an animagus and he brought Voldemort back pretty much all by himself. He was also able to blow up an entire street with his wand behind his back.
Bellatrix- Defeated Kingsley, and Tonks in the same fight, blocked a spell from Dumbledore, dueled a 1v3 against some of the best students at hogwarts without her original wand, and was stated by Voldemort to be the lieutenant of his army. She should very clearly be first. Snape has done nothing, he is smart, and he stalemated Minerva. That is it, and don’t even try to say stalemating Minerva is a credible feat because Minerva only has hype. Her feat against Voldemort was only accomplished with the help of two others and even then they were protected by Harry’s sacrificial protection. Snape has no feat on Bella’s level, and neither does McGonagall.
@@katherinerachel8011 fooling someone isn’t a dueling feat. Minerva has no feat even close to deflecting a spell from Dumbledore. Snape isn’t even close to Bella’s level by feats.

Snape is the best character ever. Alan Rickman did such a great job making the audience hate Snape and kept you guessing til the end.

Snape is incredible! I loved how he redirected McGonagall's attacks onto Alecto and Amycus.
Blaagh! movie's fan alert.
@@samuel_kennedy I have read all of the books several times (purchasing most of them at the midnight release events) and I loved them all
However, I have also seen all the movies...and loved them all, as well.
Hmm
@Joey FvckTheEu im not a fan.

Nice work ,I know it wasn't part of the plan but I would have liked to see Snape attempt to duel with Voldemort when he knew his death was coming
Yeah, that would have been cool. I'd like to see how he would have fared.
redwolf Miller Harry, Ron and Hermione would probably help Snape and the four of them could overpower Voldemort
Bellatrix and her husband were also responsible for torturing the Longbottoms
Barty Crouch Junior as well and Rabastan Lestrange the brother of Rodolphus Lestrange
Ye
Also Antonin Dolohov if I remember correctly
I think Barty Crouch Jr's capability was particularly impressive, as he has spent the thirteen ears before goblet of fire living under the imperious curse in his father's house. In that time he wouldn't have had the ability to perform spells or improve his skills in any way.
Crouch Jr was indeed a very powerful wizard. He managed to achieve 12 out of 12 O.W.L.’s. He was a gifted Ravenclaw who was trusted with a time turner which allowed him (just like Hermoine) to attend all of his classes
Also with Snape he perfected the advanced potion making books whilst still a student
Barty crouch Jr is also a time lord

I absolutely love your Harry Potter videos and the theories you publish on your channel. However, for this video I would have chosen the top 5 a little bit diffrently. You forgot to mention Rosier (even though he only fought in the first wizarding war, he was quite powerful), the Lestrange brothers (often forgotten, but they still spent quite some time in Azkaban for their horrid deeds) and Mulciber (who was described by Lily Evans as being very sadistic even in his Hogwarts days).

But he was very weak with magic
prachi sharma no he wasn’t, did you even read what I wrote.
@@harshrajsharma5050 how was he weak on magic? He was an animagus and was able to perform the spells that Voldemort needed to be revived.

He didn't forget him? He was one of the honorable mentions.
I really enjoy your rankings retrospectivelly.
I was expecting Malfoy Sr. to reach this list, since he and of course Snape were the ones who were not afraid of Mrs. Bellatrix.
Wormtail shouldn't even be making the top 500 (There are a lot of Snatchers), he only joined Voldemort in fear of him and had no loyalty or power.
bruh he may be a coward but he cast the killing curse with SOMEONE ELSE's wand and stayed in his animagus form for 13 goddamn years and then blew up 12 muggles and a whole street with ONE CURSE before sirius could react.

Snape is by far one of the best wizards ever his potion skills are unmatched So he is one of the top 5 or 6 wizards in my book of all time.......
In the book Snape wasn't abke to deflect McGonagall's spells easily, she almost killed him.
I know she’s not technically a death eater but I think Dolores umbridge is worst then Voldemort
Benjamin Shapiro worse year, but more powerful? Definitely not
Agreed. I think she's worse bc, other than Voldemort, she actually thinks of herself as a good person and fails to recognize that she's only doing evil shit.
Honestly she basically is, because she’s a pureblood fanatic and is an evil little scumbag.
i see where ur coming from, but no i 100% disagree. a lot of people only say this because we've all had that one teacher in high-school who we loathed beyond anything else ... but very few (if any) of us have had a serial-killer murder our parents!

3. Professor Snape/Severus Snape- Professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry teaching potions and Defense against the Dark Arts, Death eater (or past death eater/supporter of voldemort)
4. Bellatrix Lestrange- Part of the Black Family, Death Eater, VERY loyal supporter of Lord Voldemort, Sister of Narcissa Malfoy or Narcissa Black
Shacklebolt deffo stronger than Lestrange, since he hold his own Against Voldemort while protecting Hermione.
Let's not forget that Snape is the only one who can perform a Petronus.
Not sure I would change any of your rankings. I do know that Barty Crouch jr. escaped Azkaban with the assistance of his Mum and Dad (who was a wee bit of a high ranking Ministry official).
Top 5 Ministry of Magic Departments
Lol, Dolohov defeated Moody and Lupin in one setting.
at 4:25 you made a mistake Bellatrix Black married Rodolphus Lestrange making her Bellatrix Lestrange
In the Minerva McGonagall vs Severus Snape duel, it's Snape that kills the two deatheaters stood behind him, he deflects Mcgonagalls spell straight at them.

Tatsusama I think it’s because greyback attacks for pleasure, while Lupin tries to hide the fact that he is a werewolf. Another awesome video guys!!
Snape would of been the new dumbledoor if he'd grown older but he was so powerful
BTW, you said that Bellatrix was from the Lestrange family. She is actually in the family of Black, but she married Rebastian Lestrange and took his last name.
Lil Yaardz Nope she married with rhodolphus
Mads Frandsen oh, yeah that’s right. Rebastian was her cousin or brother in law I think. I got it mixed up with that moment when Bellatrix, Rodholphus, Rebastian and Karkarov went to Azkaban in 14 years or something like that.
Snape is the best teacher. And I love ur vids. :D
what about Corban Yaxley... I feel he's very underrated as a death eater.
excuse me can you explain why wormtail is in honourable mentions?
Personally Snape was very noble and the one of the best people in the entire HP series
1. Bella Lestrange ( have beaten Moody, escaped from Dumpledore )
2. Dolohow (Killed Lupin and Prewitts, only Flitwick was able to beat him)
3. Barty Crouch Jr ( Was able to fool Dumbledore, have beaten Moody )
4. Regulus Black ( fooled the Dark Lord)
5. Snape ( fooled the dark Lord)
Greyback wasn't a death eater. He was only a follower. But he never was a death eater, like Bellatrix, Dolohov or Lucius
Yeah, you’re right
Bitch i-
Bellatrix came from the Black family. She married into the Lestrange family.
Both families being notorious for their long history of muggle-hatred and pure-blood supremacy.
I'm not surprised that Bellatrix was #2. Snape as #1.....not so much
Honestly, I feel Nagini also has an argument to be on this list. We know that she is (or at least was) human from Crimes of Grindelwald, and we also know that she’s been close to Tom/Voldemort for a very long time. idk tho that’s just my opinion, probably doesn’t even count as a death-eater
moo cow say moo if grayback is on the list then she should be too.
Brooke Lilavois yeah. btw she became my sister’s favourite character just because of Crimes of Grindelwald lol
Daddy palps wondered into the wrong franchise again...

I knew that Severus Snape would be the strongest and Bellatrix lestrange would be second powerful.
Thank you for the vid guy!
Wasnt sirius the first to break out of azkaban?, i mean he enacted his own plan single handedly, whereas barty was swaped with his dying mum by his dad so i dont really think barty "escaped". More like the first wizard sprung lol.
umm... well... aren't we talking about the death eaters here? or did you believe in what the Ministry said?
Snape truly is the most powerful death Eater. If Baldy hadn't caught him by surprise I swear he would've held his own against him.
Gray ain't got no mark.

@@Nisa4444-h1v that is true, he did blow up a whole street, perhaps with bombada maxima, but im still not sure he should be on this list. Even though Anthony was kill by finn fitwick at the end of second wizard war

Isn’t Barty the one who made the dark mark at the quidditch game?
Bellatrix lestrange was actually born into the Black family but she was married into the lestrange family
What if snape had the elder wand.
One thing about Dolohoff you forgot to mention… He met his end at the hands of my favourite Hogwarts professor… Filius Flitwick. Everyone always forgets to mention that.
Take greyback off this list and replace him with worm tail and you’re pretty much spot on
Wormtail was pretty bad at magic though
Fluffy Greyfoot no he was pretty powerful, he was an animagus, he brought Voldemort back (with help) and one of the first things we hear about him is that he killed TWELVE muggles in an explosion that blew up a street, all whilst faking his death, and both framing and outsmarting Sirius Black, so I’d say he’s pretty powerful.
Nice joke
John Young how about that if he had fought Lupine
Kangaroo Monkey and he killed cedric diggory
Okay I have a theory about barty crouch Jr. What if he was originally put under the imperius curse during the first war (I mean, come on it would have been a major coups for them to have the son of the head of magical law enforcement in their power and also a convenient spy) and he came out of it before his trial but no one listened or believed him, especially not his so-called father. By the time he was "rescued" from Azkaban could you blame him for joining the other side and getting some of his own back on his father? Everyone already believed he was a death eater so why not truly become one? Just a thought
Bellatrix is actually from the Black family😅😅😅

Do top 10 most worst wizards in Hogwarts history
Eclipse 5O1 bad at magic or worst as in evil
Beletrix was part of the black family but married a stange to keep her pure blood family traditions
Jingle Bells
Lots of spells

Voldy dies

Happy?
Bellatrix Lestrange no because I’m stuck in Azkaban, WiFi’s great thou. WiFi at hell must be decent as well then?
Wasn’t Sirius the first to escape from Azkaban, and also it was Bellatrix, not crouch, who tortured Neville’s parents.
Bellatrix, Barry crouch jr, rudolphus lestrange, and his brother did it
Um. Peter Pettigrew? You sure?
PaperLuigi99 dude Peter Pettigrew was a terrible wizard, and he was very bad at magic.
@@fireball6444 I know. That's why I disagreed that he should be given an honorable mention.
PaperLuigi99 He was not given an honorable mention. What do you mean

Don’t forget that Snape managed to successfully trick Voldemort as well as keep him from penetrating his mind
Snape stalemated Minerva without trying much. He just didn't want to harm Minerva.
Plus, Snape fooled everyone including Bellatrix.
@@katherinerachel8011 fooling someone isn’t a dueling feat. Minerva has no feat even close to deflecting a spell from Dumbledore. Snape isn’t even close to Bella’s level by feats.
@@rashrasha921 I mean, Bellatrix defeating Kingsley doesn't mean that much in the long run, considering Kingsley held his own against Voldemort (Yes, against Voldemort), during the battles in the sky, while even protecting Hermione (And he did protect Tonks as well in the Ministry). This means Kingsley was even holding back during those 2 instances, since he cannot all out attack and protect someone at the same time.
@@nickdentoom1173 yes and bellatrix defeated him with what seemed to be relative ease in the book (judging by how the fight consisted of the engaging in a duel and kingsley leaving the fight screaming in pain with nothing else of note occurring). bellatrix is written to be canonically above him. additionally bellatrix is the only person other than voldemort himself to block a spell from dumbledore….that speaks for itself
