Hey man its funny that im seeing this video.... because I have been looking for an A7, so the algorithm pointed me to you LOL. But what is your honest opinion about the RS7? Im looking at getting an A7, so not the same motor, but would you recommend buying one or no? if so at what mileage would you recommend buying them at? Thanks man!
You have to use an app or VCDS to retract the electronic "screws" for the rear e-brake. If you try to compress the rear pistons without doing this you can break them.
@TWAMotorsports we installed these pads on my wife's RS7 and have a front end clunk that we think can only be related to the pads after running through the entire front end. Curious if you had any issues with brake pad shift with these or if you have any recommendations for an attempted fix?
EBC reds will dust a lot less than stock but should give more initial bite than the powerstops. I use them in my built Golf R for daily and spirited use.
@@TWAMotorsports how many miles when sold and other than wear and tear maintenance like brakes filters and oil change did you have any otger issues. I'm looking at a 60k ish miles s7 audi. But scared to pull tge trigger. I'm mechanically inclined but when I hear things like you need a computer just to retract the rear emergency brakes I'm not wtf!! Cause I'm used to Ford sports cars and now a lexus rx350
Maybe you can answer this then. I put new power stop drilled and slotted rotors with the ceramic pads. I noticed on the ride home the the front had considerable more dust. I didn't get the same ones as you. I got the sport ones but still carbon fiber ceramic
@@TWAMotorsports im getting judder in wheel and seat not pedal, when braking from high speed, since chaging front pads. but i did run them in and they have been fine for 2weeks
Good video but you likely damaged your parking brakes. The correct tool is either vcds or obd11 to electronically release the parking brakes and then re engaging them after you’re done. You never want to compress or release it with force.
@@TWAMotorsports just did this on mine last night, it requires more pressure to push out the Pistons than it does to push the fluid back into the reservoir, as long as you go slow enough. All golden
DUDE! DUDE! You have to use a scanner to put electric E/M in service mode! You can simply pry pads back to replace. You GOT TO KNOW WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW BUD.
@@TWAMotorsports looking forward to that video. You got me thinking of my goal to get a ever single cab bodied chevy truck. Looks like you at 3 already. Lol

Beautiful car but it didn't stick around long
Thanks Travis! Knew this job wasn’t that hard- people telling me it would be very difficult compared to American made. Psych!
It isn't too bad
Thanks for the how to! About to go a change on our 17 S7 and this is very helpful. How did you release the electronic e brake on the rear?
Thank you. Button on console is the electronic e brake

👍 great info. I took them apart and put them back together. Your method would have been a lot easier.

I never had any issues. Definitely were worth it for less brake dust

I have heard that but never used them. Thank you. I need to try them out
Happy New Year!! My wife had a Volvo XC90 with the same kind of lugs. It made it tough to put the wheel back on. Wasn’t a big fan of that style.
Thank you. Happy new year to you too. Such a weird design
oo thanks, been wondering where else I can use a jack point on my s7
Hopefully it helps
What size wheels are on your Audi? They are good looking!
Factory 21s
Thanks so much very well done video. 👏
Thank you
Did you retract the electric parking. Take when you did this? How have the new pads been now that it’s been 6 months?
I sold it 3 months after the video but all was good

No issues but new owner did blow up the car!
@@TWAMotorsports wtf how. Did the turbo oil filter clog up. Or was he an idiot and tuned the car with too much boost
No idea. Just heard from the dealer I traded it to
Nice job Travis! Yeah they sell pullers for the plastic lug bolt caps on eBay for cheap, there may be one in with the jack too...
Thank you Don. I need to check with the jack.
Whats up dude. First. Happy New year to you and your family
What's up. Thanks. Same to you and your family
Question after you put the new pads on was there a little more dust until they settled in?
Zero dust actually
Thank you!

Sounds like that one is dragging
Happy New Year...be careful in the ice storm...
Thank you
Thank you for this video 🙏🏼😁
Thank you. Hope it helps you out
what happens if you come to a stop at lights in middle running in new pads? whats the consequences please? Thanks
Have to start over

They worked fine afterwards
thats a beautiful wrap. what material & brand is it?
Its not a wrap. Its factory paint
It was a pricey option
Yeah a crazy amount
On breaking there always like that
Good video bro but you didn't show how you will open and close rear parking motors and Jack mode .
Thank you. I should have shown more

**Side note** if you depress the Pistons slowly enough the other side won't extend
Generally yes

I agree. I love this color
Are my eyes playing tricks on me or is the other newest Vette is missing?
Maybe

That too, and know how to do job correctly. Need a scanner for rear pads install. I bet his emergency brakes will have problems.
