Randy Rhoads tat guy was ylthe real macoy when you think "" RockStar'" his body ripppin it up and his face usually looked bored like he was looking for a girl in the audience
That's what being a musician is all about. This wasn't no car-eye-oh-kee or jam, lol. However, to your point, it was a great performance. Not one player diminished nor outshone the others. It was fucking fantastic, pardon my French.
Hey man, Randy was the best! If you were alive today he would put Jimi, Eddie Eddie and Yngwie to shame! Above all this talent, he had personality. All the other grades were set in their modes and played the same way all the time. To quote David Lee Roth, "Eddie played the same solo for 8 years". I noticed the same thing about Yngwie. But if you find some off the cuff recordings that Randy made just messing around between takes, he did every riff from a comedy show takeoff to a coffee commercial. That's how in tune he was with the culture that he lived in.
I learned to play that song from vinyl back in 1980. Thirty-five years later, guitarists still play it. What a testament to Randy's writing. If he were alive, he would be THE standard all other players are gauged against.
I played this song on the tape recorder for my music class at Lake Highland. All my classmates were too involved with the surf punk and progressive music... I was kinda scared to play this as I thought people might make fun of me... but not so!!!! I was about 16. Since then D's have followed me.... Grateful. Bless D.D. Palmer as my name Tamara means palm tree. Blessed!!! Miss Randy!!!
EPIC!!!! Randy Rhoads is still consider one of the most talented guitarest ever, that my friends speaks volumes. To this day i still listen to those first two Ozzy solo albums, cannot say that about any other artist, its really not about Ozzy, its all because Randy was an amazing composer, there will never be an equal, not now not ever IMO. RIP Randy love u forever.
First heard of Randy "crazy train " entro gzve me chills, where's is this sound coming from....I started to play guitar ,can't still play but put on any Randy songs ,I start over again.... thank you Mrs Rhodes... for raising a talent son that gives generation to learn and to expand. If there's an after life , I would be honored to shake your sons hand.... RHJ
I was grounded and missed his last show in San Diego Jan 4, '82. My best friend Walter went so I got to relive it vicariously through him. Cried with the rest of the rock world March 19th. RIP Randy! Can't play Dee anymore cuz arthritis sucks but still love to listen to those who can. This was amazing for so many to play at once. What a tribute!
Very nice gentlemen. Very Nice. I had the pleasure and misfortune of seeing Randy Rhoads live in Houston just a few months before he passed away. His passing impacted me greatly then and the loss of his life is still sad to me today. What an incredible talent and kind heart he was and it's a tribute that all these years later people like yourselves pay tribute to him and his memory. Thank you!
Gave me goosebumps listening to this. Fantastic! Got to see Randy Rhoades when he first toured with Ozzy, never forget how brilliant he was. He will always be remembered in some way and this video was cool!
Yet aGain the tears flow. On the 40th anniversary of Blizzard of Ozz there’s so much stuff Ozzy has been putting out and inevitably Randy comes up and into the documentary recently. In fact I think I’ve seen such another resurgence in his popularity his videos and a new crop of younger guitarists learning of him. I can’t stop the tears every time I see or hear him over and over. Always the best, the cream of the crop! No one can or will ever top him😢🎸💔
This is glorious and a great way to get up on a Monday. BTW, big hello and kudos to Joel Hoesktra, from the backup guitar guy (that was never needed) on Broadway for Rock of Ages. Joel is a genuinely good guy and one of the most gifted guitar players I've even met or seen.
Incredibly amazing 🥲 What a priceless present they are giving us with their talent. Sure RR eyes are in tears of joy happyness and gratefullness from where he is undeniably watching all. Cos he knew how to love and fed it every chance he could, so he become a very fortun.....privileged son. Just like you all f*****Bas****. You make everything beatiful n marvelous. Dont ever change nevermind the prize......you know👁️😉🥰
this was killer man! all them playing tribute to randy..... man he would of been so humbled to hear this. hard to believe this december he'd be 60 years old. like today hendrix has been dead for 46 years. crazy
So to me Carvin one of the best guitars in the world plus Fender guitars.. mean car fender bender.. Thank you to my two patients whose nlast name is Bender. I helped so many people from their acceleration/decelaration injuries. Chiropractic works !!! Guitars Guitars, plus TAMA drums!
@prosody metal...right? Who are the three kooks that gave a thumbs down. Blows my mind. I just think idiots that want to strike drama. Because how could you not like this...a tribute to a sweet man and played beautifully. God bless you Randy..you will always be loved
Randy Rhoads was only one, and at that time it was the Guitar God just a shame that he's no longer with us to him is rightly hailed roads largest new guitar deserved .....
I think the biggest heart string here is how and when and why it happened. Alot of folks blamed Ozzy, but I salute him for finding it within himself to carry on. RIP RANDY.
My sons favorite guitarist in the world. My son learned Dee by ear at 15 to play for me. My son is now 46 and I'm 72
by ear? no way

I can’t believe that 79 people gave this a thumbs down.
This was a very cool tribute to Randy.

That's entirely due to their lack of musical resonance, 12floz - they have no soul.
@@johnston.scott64 I really don’t wanna hear Eruption again I love EVH but that’s one solo I can’t stand

He is anyways. And none compare

It came out in 1987 you donut

Love how Alex Skolnick is wearing a Rush shirt. I sat behind him at a Rush show in 2012. Very cool dude and a great guitarist with great taste.
I wish Alex would have stayed with Savatage, I still can’t think of any other guitarist being a better follow up to Chris than Alex.

I prefer Testament, but hey, dude rips either way.
Rand was the greatest, he would be very touched, thanks guys❤
Randy was smiling down from Heaven!!!

I play Dee every time I pick up my guitar, took me months to learn over 30 years ago. Love it.

The first concert I ever saw was in Shreveport LA "Diary of a Madman" the last show Randy played. I will always remember that one!
I would like to rewind ur brain to that show and put it on screen!! I missed seeing randy !!!
Allen dman Randy Rhoads last show was played in Knoxville, TN at the Knoxville Civic Colosium.
Tennessee was last show brother

Beautifully written and perfectly delivered
I just got goosebumps hearing this. It's very thought invoking when you love Randy so much!
Am I the only one a little teary eyed....??
Everytime I play this I feel for Ozzy man, he loved Randy more than life
Damn onions, I noticed it was more dustier today than usual.
The living weep only for themselves, the dead are truly at peace.
I still get teary-eyed at this composition nearly 35 years later.
Why did I find this incredibly emotional........ grown man in tears.
The synchronicity of talent here is amazing. Well done!
Who fuckin' thumbs down this masterpiece?

Randy Rhoads is my #1 guitar influence !!
With just a few albums, he is in the top 5 guitar players of all time. He was a genius.. He was Legend
They're playing the song in perfect sequence. If you close your eyes and didn't know this lineup was playing you would think it was one person.
I miss you so much,God Speed
My son and I play Randy's music together all the time

so short and simple, but so very beautiful
I like how that guy dressed up at 1:22 it looks like that outfit Randy wore with QR
Dont be hatin Jacob.... life is life no matter what road we travel..... honored to have been blessed with his talent ..
I did not know the record executives wanted to exclude Dee. It goes to show you that record executives are a bunch fools.
money-grubbing, soul-sucking, scammers but what do we know, right?
