      Are there full sized cars that implement some of these ideas? Are they worth it or are there better solutions, like more tank like.
      The rovers mentioned, like the Mars ones, at least the ones I have pictured from memory are quite more constrained in movement I think?

      @@lagule Given the tools he had at hand you can't really expect him to build anything more than a toy car. But this kind of problem solving, and outside-of-the-box thinking is not far from what JPL engineers had to do when building the iconic Mars rovers.

As far as I know I'm not a nasa, jpl or northropp gruman engineer

      @@lagule a rover is not that complex tbh. It's a car with a couple more wheels and independent adjustable suspension we built a scale model for a robotics event worked just fine. It could even plant seeds.
