Making Lego Car CLIMB Obstacles
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 тра 2024
- Testing a Lego car against different obstacles and improving it until it becomes a capable climber.
Demonstrates what you need to consider: wheel diameter, gear ratio, 4-wheel drive, tire grip, breakover angle, weight distribution. Enjoy!
Base rules for all builds:
-4 wheels
-no steering (to simplify the builds)
-only Lego parts used

maybe you're far fetching all of this lmao he designed a 4 wheels car
@@lagule great ideas start simple, though this likely wouldn’t be a viable design more because of the mechanical complexity and therefore increased risk of failure.
@@lagule Given the tools he had at hand you can't really expect him to build anything more than a toy car. But this kind of problem solving, and outside-of-the-box thinking is not far from what JPL engineers had to do when building the iconic Mars rovers.
@@Sammy197 its not really this type of problem solving required for designing rover drones, and I liked this video because it reminded me I had done the same vehicle as a kid but with another axle as the joint between the two articulated parts. As far as I know I'm not a nasa, jpl or northropp gruman engineer
@@lagule a rover is not that complex tbh. It's a car with a couple more wheels and independent adjustable suspension we built a scale model for a robotics event worked just fine. It could even plant seeds.
